As they were walking in the long corridors of the Sith academy, Darth Marr spoke up.
“What do you want, Baras?” He said in an emotionless tone.
Darth Baras answered without looking over, and just kept walking.
“I’m interested in your little pet.” Baras said as he snickered to himself, glancing at Cathal.
Cathal was listening to all this without reacting or saying a word, as he knew when to keep quiet.
“He is not my pet, but sure.” Darth Marr said as he turned to Cathal.
Cathal felt his eyes and turned to Darth Marr.
“Another lesson. I don’t care that you have two personalities or something. But if you don’t learn to control your emotions, you will never be a good Sith.” Darth Marr spoke in a stern tone.
This was the one thing he decided Cathal needed to learn quickly.
As without it, he would just be a hunting dog for the Sith, and no real sith.
“Ok.” was all Cathal answered, then turned his attention to Darth Baras.
And what he did next shocked both Sith lords.
“Any tips for me?” Cathal asked Darth Baras straightforwardly.
“Why would I give tips to Marr’s pet?” He asked as he stared intently at Cathal.
Cathal turned his head to the floor as if thinking, then back to Baras.
“Because you can’t touch me, or my master, with me here. So it would be better for you to be on good terms with me.” Cathal said as a matter-of-factly.
The Sith Lords were stunned again. They never expected him to be this straightforward.
‘Since when did he know about all this?’ Darth Marr thought as he tried to scan Cathal’s face again.
Darth Baras frowned heavily under his mask.
“What makes you think that?”
“Because the Emperor decided so. And the force won’t allow you to harm me.” Cathal said as he turned back to the corridor.
Darth Marr was getting a bit irritated.
‘How does he know? And how much more is he hiding behind that mask?’
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
While he was getting irritated, Darth Baras had entirely different thoughts.
“Great, someone who can understand me. Pity I can’t take him.’
“Well, that is true. But what do you mean, the force won’t allow it?” Darth Baras asked with confusion and excitement hidden in his voice.
Darth Marr reacted to this immediately.
“Looks like we are here. Let’s go.” He said as he dragged Cathal to the big door just a couple of meters ahead of them.
‘Tch, stupid dog.’ Baras scowled as he took a turn just before the door.
As Cathal made it through the door with Darth Marr, what looks like a big colosseum comes into view.
The only difference was that it was inside with a roof.
In the middle of the arena stood the Overseer Duson, next to him stood the challenged.
He had a single sword in his hands and a vicious grin on his face.
Around the arena stood around 200 people, all waiting to see what the apprentice of Darth Marr could do.
They were also interested in whether he could beat the genius rookie that was challenged.
“Go there and take a weapon.” Darth Marr pointed at a weapon rack at the side of the arena.
Cathal walked up to the weapons and picked two single bladed swords.
The reason they were using actual swords now was that it was a death match.
And death matches do not end until one side is completely dead or the other spares him.
Cathal walked up to Overseer Duson and looked at the grinning opponent.
“Great, now that you both are here, the match will not end until one is dead, or you decide to spare the other. Understood?” He asked as he looked at the two contestants.
“Yes, sir.” Saval answered his overseer.
“Ok,” Cathal spoke.
Overseer Duson walked to the edge of the arena and shouted.
“Start.”
As soon as the match began, Saval charged at Cathal with his single bladed sword.
The sword slashed at Cathals waist with a horizontal slash, ready to separate Cathals legs from his torso.
The slash was so fast that most Acolytes spectating could not see clearly.
Cathal took a small step back and swung one of his swords.
But instead of attacking Saval, he hit the sword’s backside with such force, so Saval spun around in circles, as he could not stop the force.
While this was happening, Cathal just stood there and waited for him to regain posture.
He could easily have killed him at that time, but decided not to.
As Saval regained his posture, his face was ugly, and his eyes glared with hatred.
‘Fucking bitch! I’m going to torture him before his master! Dare to make fun of me!’
He augmented his legs with the force and charged once more.
This was one of Saval’s trump cards. His speed was 5 times that of his normal speed.
This would usually be enough time to slice someone in half.
He swung his sword from overhead, aiming at Cathal’s forehead.
Just as it was about to hack his skull in half, Cathal jumped to the side.
But it was not fast enough.
The sword had blood on the tip.
Cathal looked down and found his arm with a deep gash in it.
His eyes were stuck on the blood dripping from his bicep.
Soon, his mind was getting clouded and his eyes lost clarity.
An insane amount of pressure smashed down everyone in the arena. The force was crushing Saval to the floor on his stomach.
The spectators were unconscious, on the knees, or bleeding.
Darth Baras, who was sitting down and looking at the match, was barely standing up.
He was using all his power to not go on his knees.
Darth Baras finally understood why he can’t do anything to Cathal.

Author here. again…
I’m basically back.
I will upload from now on again, as my father is getting better.
And for people who are going to scream at me about the fight scene.
He has no experience with humans at all and has only fought droids.
He is also having troubles with his split personality, which Darth Marr is talking about.
I don’t really know what else to say…
If you have any ideas for further into the story, please tell me as if I like it, I might use it.
I have to go to bed again.
Goodnight!
