Zelon, Revion, Mordindor, and three dark elves hid on a roof near the second shipyard.
"It looks like the other squads are almost done, so we need to make this quick."
"We will split up into 2 groups and talk to the owners of these ships. We need to figure out what price they are willing to give us for their vessels."
"Right now I have about 1.35 million credits, so we will accept anything under the 150,000 price range."
"Wait my lord, why don't we just take the ships for ourselves?"
A dark elf with green eyes and a small beard asked Zelon a question.
"If this was any other time I would allow it, however, a war is going on.
"We have already made a lot of movements tonight,. I don't want to draw any attention to ourselves."
"We must build up our forces, while the government and the rebels weaken themselves fighting each other."
"Once so many ships start disappearing from port without any records, the local government will take notice of it."
"I understand my lord, I am sorry for questioning your judgement."
The dark elf kneeled before Zelon.
"Enough, get up I am alright with you asking questions."
Zelon looked at one of the dark elves before nodding his head to him.
"Aldrion you will take the other 2 elves with you and make contact with any ship owners on the west wing."
Zelon pulled a datapad out of his pocket and handed it to Aldrion.
"If you find any great deals, transfer the money and secure ownership of the vessels. We will also leave the ships here, I'll have someone retrieve them later once this operation is done tonight."
"Alright everyone let's move out, keep your eyes peeled and your ears open. The rebels are attacking the city right now, so we might not have a lot of time before they attacking here!"
Everyone jumped off the roof, then made their way inside the shipyard.
Once inside, the group of 6 split up; Zelon and his guards walk over to a information booth and Aldrion's group walked to the west wing.
At the booth, a female Twi'lek with purple skin stood behind the window.
Zelon walked up and tapped on the glass.
"Knock! knock!"
The Twi'lek turned around and then opened the closed window.
"Hello, how can I help you?"
"We're looking to buy any used ships; do you know anyone thinking of selling?"
"Yes actually there are a few ships out at the docks, looking to be bought."
The twi'lek turned to her computer and began typing away.
When she was done, she turned the monitor to face Zelon and pointed to a few pictures.
"There is a female zabrak looking to sell her medium freighter for a price."
"These 2 Mirilalan's are selling their starfighters; I heard they are looking for a new job, since the pilot school they taught at is out of business now."
Zelon's eyes began to shine at the mention of former Pilot trainers.
"The last notice we received, is from a Nautolan, he isn't selling his ship per say."
"He is actually, looking for a pilot job for any local groups."
"I heard he made a mistake during one of his jobs, which caused him to be fired."
"Other than those, you will have to speak to anyone else yourselves."
Zelon smiled and thanked the woman before walking towards the docks.
Mordindor moved closer to Zelon's side and began talking.
"My lord the 2 pilot teachers and the pilot sounded interesting, they would be excellent additions to your forces."
"I agree as well my lord, our forces will all need to be trained to pilot a vessel and we need experienced pilots when we begin exploring these different systems."
Revion also chipped in with his own views on the matter.
"Let's talk to the ones selling ships first, then we will see about hiring the others."
The guards nodded before, their group moved to the docks.
Aldrion and the 2 dark elves walked to a few ships asking if the owner was looking to sell his ship, but not many of them said yes.
After a while of walking, they came upon a massive vessel. This ship was a passenger liner, used to move citizens between worlds on tours and such.
Aldrion walked up to the ship and pressed the intercom.
Seconds later, sounds of metal clanging behind the door appeared.
A small slit in the door opened sith a set of eyes looking out through them.
"Who is it and what do you want?"
Aldrion walked to the door then began to introduce himself and the others.
"Hi sir my name is Aldrion I am walking around looking for any ship owners who want to sell their ships."
The man behind the door thought for a second then closed the slit. He began to unlock the door and lower the security system in place before the door opened.
The man walked out into the light. Before Aldrion sat a human with a rugged appearance and with filthy baggy clothes on.
"Come inside, we can talk about the price away from any listening ears."
The man turned around the walked through a pile of filth on the floor.
Aldrion looked at the elves before shaking his head, reluctantly walking into the ship.
They followed the man through the ship before making their way to a office room with a few chairs placed around.
"You can sit down, excuse the mess everywhere; I haven't been the same since my wife left me."
Aldrion grabbed a chair flipped over on it's side then sat down. The others also followed suit finding something to sit in.
The man looked at Aldrion.
"I will sell you my ship for 250,000 credits and nothing less."
The 2 elves; eyes expanded before they stood up in anger.
"You expect us to buy such filth for such a high price.?!"
Aldrion got angry from the dark elves rude interruption.
"Sit down you 2 fools; our lord has given us a mission, if we fail the mission because of your ego's I will take your lives myself!"
The room itself began to shake cause of Aldrion's anger.
The 2 dark elves began to sweat before they sat down.
"Sorry leader Aldrion, it was our mistake."
Aldrion turned around and smiled at the man.
"Sorry about that interruption, do you mind if I ask you some questions real quick?"
The man surprised at the event that just happened, nodded his head.
"Go ahead ask away."
"How many people can this vessel carry?"
The man pondered for a minute while rubbing his chin.
"It's normal capacity is about 1000 people, however depending on the items the people bring with them, some of the seating arrangements will be converted into cargo space."
"What about it's speed, how fast can this girl go?"
"Hmm, she can go about as fast as a medium freighter."
"This ship in particular, are there any problems this ship has that would need to be fixed?"
"Other than some maintenance, a good cleaning on the inside, maybe replace the corroded walls, and a new coat of paint the ship still works fine."
Aldrion thought about if this ship could be converted into a troop carrier, it wouldn't need to many changes before it would be operational.
"For the price of 250,000; I will accept your offer, can you please retrieve the ships deeds I will begin transferring the credits to you now."
Hearing Aldrion's words the mans eyes grew huge. He jumped out of his chair then bolted out of the room to retrieve the deeds.
"Aldrion why are we buying this ship at such a high price, I see no worth in this vessel?"
Aldrion stood up and smiled at the elves.
"This ship would be great as the start of a troop transport vessel, the dwarfs can easily modify this vessel into something worthy of our lords future fleet."
The elves nodded their heads, understanding his line of thought.
As Aldrion and his group handled the purchasing of the passenger ship, Zelon and his guards had just finished buying the medium freighter from the Zabrak for 300,000 credits.
With the deeds in hand Zelon snd his guards left to meet the 2 Mirialan pilots.
Minutes later they came upon 2 medium intercepter vessels.
The 2 Mirialan's sat around their ships talking. When they saw Zelon and the 2 Silvan elves walk up to them, they stopped and stared at them.
"Are you 2 the Mirialan pilots who used to work as teachers at a pilot school?"
Both pilots stood up with a hostile look on their face and their hands on their blaster pistols.
This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.
"Yes that's us who want's to know?"
Mordindor and Revion were about to step forward, but Zelon raised his hand to stop them.
"I am here because I wish to hire you, I need a group of people who can teach my men how to pilot ships."
The Mirialan's calmed down and looked at each other with surprise on their faces.
"Sorry about the hostility, been a lot of crazy people threatening us around here lately."
"So you want to hire us, can we ask what's the organization we will be working for?"
Zelon shook his head.
"As of right now I can't, my group doesn't wish to grab attention. I will say this we are not part of the rebels fighting the government on the planet."
"For your position's if you do good enough, I will pay you 10,000 credits a month."
"10,000?!!"
The mirialan's were surpised; at their last jobs they only made about 3,000 credits a month.
"Sir, when can we sign up, if your paying like that we can't refuse."
"That's good to hear, for now go to this medium freighter, I will need you 2 to pilot it for me once we return."
Zelon handed them a datapad with the key and authorization to pilot the vessel. He also grabbed a bracelet out of his bag then handed them to them.
"Put those on, they will allow you to get in touch with me or the others, my name is Zelon by the way your new boss."
The mirialan's grabbed the bracelet's then put them on their arms before walking to the freighter.
"On to the next one."
They made their way to the Nautolan's recorded position.
It ended up leading them to a bar in the shipyard. They made their way inside with the disguises created through the force. After getting inside he walked up to the bar and called the bartender.
"You seen a Nautolan who is looking for a job, Piloting vessels?"
"Yea, he's upstairs in room 3."
"Thank you."
Zelon got up and made his way upstairs. He walked for awhile before seeing room 3.
He walked up to the curtain then pushed it aside. Inside he saw the Nautolan drinking some alcoholic drink.
Since he found his target he walked inside and took a seat. The Nautalon looked at him wondering why he was here.
"I think you have the wrong room pal I payed for a room to myself."
"No actually I'm in the right place, I hear you are looking for a piloting job?"
Hearing that grabbed his attention; he placed his drink down on the table then looked at Zelon.
"I'm looking for an experienced pilot for my forces. I heard from the Twi'lek receptionist that you have the experience, but you were fired from your last job cause of a mistake, mind me asking what you did?"
The Nautolan was quiet for a second before he looked into the air.
"It was during a escort mission, my unit was escorting a high value target to Alderaan."
"Along the way their our convoy of 5 starfighters and 2 destroyer vessels were ambushed close to an astroid field."
"We were outgunned and out manned so we decided to escape. At the time I was the pilot of one of the destroyers
"The higher ups gave us orders to use the starfighters as cover and engage our hyperdrives."
"However, I didn't believe that plan would work, so I put all power to the engines and escaped through the astroid field."
"Out of all the ships that escaped that day mine was the only one to make it back."
"So while I did complete the mission and delivered the target to his destination I ignored a direct order and was fired."
Zelon thought for a second before looking at the man.
"There is 2 things I like about you; you have great experience piloting ships and you have great situational awareness."
"However, if I were to hire you I must ask, will you just disobey every order I give or the order's of the leader's over you?"
"Sir I will follow every order, unless the order is misguided and will lead to me and those aboard my vessels death."
Zelon used his connection to the force to feel the mans character. The man did not lie to him about following order unless they were bad ones.
He could tell the man was a good man, who worried about his brother's in arms.
"Very well, if you accept I will hire you."
The man smiled.
"Thank you sir, you will not regret hiring me."
"Good grab your gear and get ready to follow us out with your ship."
"Yes sir!"
The Nautalon saluted Zelon as he walked out.
Zelon left the top floor and regrouped with his guards.
Zelon then tapped his bracelet and got in touch with Aldrion.
"Are you done on that side?"
"Yes my lord, we were able to secure a passenger liner that I believe can be retrofitted into a troop transport."
Zelon smiled.
"Good work, leave the ship and meet us on the east side."
"Yes my lord."
The connection cut and everyone began to move out towards the medium freighter.
After a while, everyone regrouped at the medium freighter.
"Let's go we will fly out towards Alpha squads location then we will go back towards base."
The Mirialan's got into the pilot seats and began turning the ship on.
The ship the began to lift into the air before slowly flying out of the docks. The Nautolan's fighter vessel flew out as well following the freighter.
Over at alpha squad, beta squad and zeta squad had just arrived and were now loading up all the weapons and boxes that brought along with them onto the small freighters.
Roshuni's bracelet went off and she answered the call.
"Roshuni we are flying to your location, when everyone is ready we will all fly back to base together."
"Yes my lord, I will have everyone ready to go by the time you arrive."
"The call ended and Roshuni ran outside the ship.
Everyone hurry it up our lord is on the way, these ships need to be airborne by the time he arrives, move it!
After hearing, that the lord was on the way everyone began to move faster. In no time all the loot had been stored and everyone was inside the ships ready to go.
The 2 freighters and the three star-fighters began to power on. They began to slowly rise into the air before the others arrived.
After a while, another freighter had arrived with a fighter vessel.
"Let's go move out!"
With the force Zelon sent a telepathic message to everyone nearby. The ships speed up and flew away from the city towards the great forest.
Hours later the ships came upon the base. The elves and dwarves hear the sounds of the ships and look into the air.
The ships flew over and landed into a clearing near the base. The doors opened and everyone began to walk out.
Zelon called for his squad leaders.
The squad leader's walked to Zelon; Roshuni also brought Peter along with her.
When everyone arrived before him he smiled, he also took notice of Paul but didn't get mad.
"You have all did wonderful, in the future I will make you 4 a general of my future armies."
The 4 dark elves bowed to Zelon, happy from his words.
"Now who is might this human be Roshuni?"
Roshuni looked at Zelon the got on 1 knee.
"My lord he is the owner of the 2 freighters that would not sell. For the promise of his life he offered the information of a shipwright, I believed tou would be most pleased with that knowledge."
Zelon smiled pleased with Roshuni's surprising gift.
"You have done well Roshuni, you may rise."
Zelon then looked at Peter.
"Do not worry, I will not take your life. As long as your information is correct I will release you."
Zelon walked away and entered into the base, while multiple elves and dwarves bowed to him.
He walked into the research facility and found the dwarves filthy with, dust and dirty over themselves.
"Master Zelon you have returned from your excursion."
"Yes master Dwinley and I have brought back things that I need your people to break down and research."
"I brought back blasters of different types and a few ships. I need you to figure out it's technology and then we will later begin building ships and weapons for my people."
"Very well we will get right on it."
Zelon nodded then walked out back to Tiamat's tree.
When he got their a group of dark elves carried a box over to him and kneeled.
"My lord in the gun shop we found a secret storage with this box in it. We believed the contents of this box would be important to you."
The elf opened the box and revealed a chest full of shiny gems.
Zelon's eyes grew big instantly.
"Kyber Crystals!"
