Chapter 4

In an unknown place, there's an old man wearing a light robe with golden embellishments at each end, seated on his golden throne. Engaged in discussion while he faces a floating sphere.

"I was right about my assumption; the meanings are indeed similar. Now, the question is, where did they derive this concept? What about the initial author who wrote about reincarnation or transmigration—did they truly experience it?" Mike pondered in his mind, continuing to listen intently to Lord Aetherion.

"Choosing reincarnation seems like a disadvantage since all memories from the past life are erased. There might be unexpected events to recall those memories, but the chances are slim.".

"If I choose to be a regressor, I'd be with my family again, but our situation would remain the same. I don't have any winning lotto combinations or unexpected events that would make us wealthy. Also, from elementary to college, nothing good happened to uplift our lives," Mike expressed, a hint of sadness in his voice. "And I've come to accept what has happened to me."

"Transmigration, hmm... in many novels and anime I've read and watched, your soul is transferred to another world or realm.".

"Wait, didn't he mention it could be both?"

He paused in thought, recalling stories where characters transmigrated into different bodies through wishes or a game of roulette. "Maybe this is it—the combination of reincarnation and transmigration," he mused, taking a deep breath as he pondered his decision.

After explaining his thoughts, he was asked again about his choice.

With determination, he responded to Lord Aetherion, "I choose the combination of reincarnation and transmigration."

"Is that your final answer?" inquired Lord Aetherion. He simply nodded.

In the mysterious realm, Lord Aetherion inquires of him.

"Before we proceed, you were asking about why you can't feel your hands and feet," he responded with a nod.

"As you traverse the void, your soul gradually takes on a circular form, and because of that, your entire being becomes one. Hence, the absence of sensation in your hands and feet," explained Lord Aetherion to him.

Upon understanding, Mike expressed a sense of awe and wondered, "So that's the reason.".

"Thank you, Lord Aetherion, for recalling my initial question," he added with gratitude.

He humbly replied, "It's nothing, a small matter, and it's my duty to convey such information to those who will be reincarnated or transmigrated." This revelation prompted a sudden question from Mike.

"Lord Aetherion, does that mean someone preceded me, and after me, will there be others?" he inquired.

With a simple nod, Lord Aetherion responded, "Oh, let's proceed; let's not waste any more time." Mike was left in contemplation, his vision gradually blurring as he thought about what he had heard.

"Lord Aetherion walked towards him, but suddenly he came to a halt. Without hesitation, he slightly bent forward and firmly pressed his right hand onto the floor swiftly while his palm wide open. A radiant white light emanated from his palm, creating a strong gust of wind that caused his long white hair and white attire to flutter elegantly."

Afterward, a small circle emerged beneath Mike, rotating clockwise and gradually expanding. When it stopped rotating and enlarging, a symbol appeared—a Chinese trigram-like symbol, yet distinct with unique characters intricately inscribed along each line and within the circle.

Mike marveled at the spectacle before him, as if he were witnessing a live scene from a xianxia novel he had read. His white garments added to the ethereal atmosphere, enhancing the enchanting display.

After the trigram was complete, Lord Aetherion summoned a large object. When the mist from the summoning dissipated, there appeared a golden square, within which was another circle of the same size. Inside this circle were numerous lines, resembling a pizza but with many intricate divisions. Each line had spaces, and above them were numbers, while below were characters inscribed.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.

Mike observed in awe as the intricate details unfolded before him. The golden square radiated a mysterious aura, and the symbols within the circle seemed to hold profound significance. The entire scene felt like a convergence of ancient mysticism and advanced symbolism.

Mike paused as he beheld the sight. "Wait, this is a roulette. So, my speculation was correct—that what I chose aligns with what's mentioned in novels," he mused in his thoughts.

Lord Aetherion introduced it to him, saying, "This is the golden roulette for those who choose the combination of reintransmigration."

Afterward, a small sphere appeared beside Mike, and the characters beneath each number on the golden roulette transformed into English. He was surprised by what he read.

"Fuck, this is real now," he muttered to himself as he read through the list.

"Naruto World, Boruto World, DBZ, JJK, AOT, Overlord, Bleach, The Eminence in Shadow, Black Clover, Demon Slayer, JJBA, High School DxD, High School of the Dead, One Punch Man, One Piece, Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Fruits Basket, Toradora, Hentai Universe."

"Eh? That's included?" he said while continuing to read.

"Solo leveling, Return of the Mount Hua Sect, Legend of the Northern Blade, Manhwa Hentai, I Am the Fated Villain, Murim World, Marvel and DC, The Boys, Mana World, Mecha World, Beast World, Wuxia World." And as he was about to read the next one, the roulette suddenly started spinning rapidly.

"The golden roulette will serve as your selector for the world or realm you'll be transported to, and the small sphere beside you represents you," Lord Aetherion explained to Mike.

"And the worlds or realms listed are those desired by every mortal being from where you originated," he added.

"Once you throw or release the ball onto the golden roulette, you have no right to change the result. Is that clear?" Lord Aetherion warned Mike.

Mike could only respond with a nod, contemplating in his mind that he's not particularly lucky with roulette and random chances, leaving him with a sense of apprehension. "I'll wager all my luck on this," he whispered while staring at the golden roulette.

"Use your mind to throw it," Lord Aetherion instructed.

He threw the small sphere onto the golden roulette, and as the golden roulette spun rapidly, it bounced and rolled in various directions.

After several minutes of the roulette's continuous spin, it gradually decelerated.

Capturing Mike's undivided attention. His eyes remained fixed on the spot where the small sphere would eventually rest. The atmosphere in the room was thick with anticipation as the ball vaulted and settled between Futa World and Parallel World. As the sphere disappeared, it marked its final stop in the Xianxia World.

"Not bad; better than ending up in Futa or Parallel World," he muttered to himself.

"And the Xianxia World, as far as I know, is where people cultivate their inner energy to gain extraordinary powers, ranging from superhuman abilities to immortality. Their journey involves ascending to god-like levels of strength, leading to epic battles and the reshaping of entire worlds. It's a world that explores the pursuit of ultimate power through mystical practices."

"I'm not entirely sure how I'll survive in the Xianxia World, but it's still better than the other options. Whatever happens, this is now my destiny," he added, followed by a deep sigh.

When that event concluded, Lord Aetherion spoke: "You will be sent to that universe, and because you chose rein-transmigration, you have three wishes from me," he added, "and as compensation for being attacked by one of my guards, you have an additional wish for that."

"Lord Aetherion, may I ask?" Mike inquired, and Lord Aetherion promptly responded.

"Why do I experience intermittent blurring of vision and hearing loss, even though I don't have a physical body?" He asked him with a hint of curiosity.

"Ah, because after I took you from the void and brought you here, your soul is not quite suitable, as you are just a mere mortal," Lord Aetherion explained.

"And what you're experiencing is the result of an extended stay here. That's why I told you we shouldn't waste time, and the time here and in the world where you came from is different."

"If you stay here for too long, there's a possibility that you won't transmigrate anymore because you won't have any remaining soul left from you."

"So, I gave you an extra wish because one of my guards attacked you, hastening your time here, which shouldn't have been prolonged," Lord Aetherion explained to him with a touch of apology.

He responded with a nod upon hearing this, choosing not to dwell on it further. He couldn't bring himself to feel anger, recognizing his status as a mere mortal in the grand scheme of things.

After Lord Aetherion's explanation, he approached the trigram he had indicated. Standing upright, he raised both palms simultaneously, as if in prayer form, and whispered. Due to this, the trigram emitted a white and black aura inside, gradually dissipating where Mike was positioned.

Following that, Lord Aetherion spoke: 'You can now make wishes using your mind, but be cautious with your words; you might unintentionally go overboard,' he warned Mike.

Mike responded with a nod, and after that, Lord Aetherion returned to his throne.

"Shit, this is it. Take a deep breath, Mike; you have a limited time to think and make your wishes," he muttered to himself."

"In the anime universe, the strongest are Saitama and Goku, but I will transmigrate to the Xianxia World. If I choose either of them, it's futile because upon reaching the higher realm, I'll encounter even stronger opponents. Besides, I'm not updated on the latest anime since I'm focused on studying, coupled with reading novels."

Mike paused in his thoughts, recalling the last fanfiction he read about Naruto.

"That might work. If I had Sharingan, I'd be formidable, especially with all-around ability," he thought.

"Anyway, this is my second chance, so I'll make the most of it. I don't know if I'll ever get this opportunity again, so let's start," he added.
