Earth, the only planet filled with life. Plants, animals, and humans live on it. It has gone through many phase until it became habitable.
Well, long short story, the Humans were somehow got powers from something. That something was called as ‘Spirit’, a ghost from past who was cohabitating the human’s body.
some of them couldn’t talk, but the Spirits’ powers such as their skill from previous life could be learned by the host.
The humans who acquired power were getting stronger… but of course, Every good thing always had the bad side.
The humans evolution was halted. Their society and technology were stopped at middle age or in some places, degraded to ancient or primitive era.
Contrary to the humans, the Earth started to change greatly. The Continents crashed each other, resulting drowned or merged continent.
Following that, another phenomenon with the Spirits happened and successfully shaved the humanity population into near extinction.
The afermath of those was there’s one continent left and the humans were left with numbers less than thirty thousand.
Massive problems happening here and there. In the mid of chaos, another occurence happened.
I was born.
In the world full of Spirit bearer, a human without Spirit was already considered as rare case.
But me, I was condemned as an Irregularity. I have something that a normal shouldn’t have, while at the same time, I didn’t possess something that spirit bearer should have.
Couldn’t join either of the two sides, I ran away and found myself in an unknown place.
Back to the present time… Now, I’m doing fine in this place. I already accustomed with the know-how to live here… in the forest.
I’m currently walking around the forest with my trusted hand-made knife hanging on my waist. Tall trees and exotic birds could be seen around me. The sounds of the water flowing in the river calmed my mind.
Suddenly, a scene flashed in my mind. That thing I always seen…
(Aah… that scene again…)
Just as I reminiscing about something, bamboo spears were launched at me.
“Tsu!”
Rolling to the side, I managed to evaded two of it, but the three left stabbed through my clothes, leaving me hanging on the tree.
“Daydreaming in the middle of training, how bold of you. If this was a real fight, you were already dead, Saka.”
A White tiger came from where the spears were launched. Its fur has black stripes which made him looks magnificent. He looks at me with pity, but his mouth snickering at me.

“Byakko. I was… that scene again…”
“…I see. For now, let’s put you down from there.”
He stopped giggling and started to help me. He bited the bamboo and pulled it easily, even though it was stabbed quite deep into the tree.
After I was released, I stretched my body and done a little warm up.
“With this, you have lost 776 times. Congratulation for your new record.”
Byakko snickered at me again while throwing off those sarcastic words.
Six years has passed since I ran away. I lived with Byakko in the Northen Forest. He was a weird tiger. He could speaks like humans, even though he was a tiger.
He took care of me and raise me in this new environment, so I didn’t really mind he could talk or anything.
By the way, those explanation before was what Byakko teached me. It was really vague that I couldn’t really understand about it.
“Stop thinking trash about me and started hunting. Empty stomach will led you to your end. Remember it, Saka.”
“Yeah, yeah. You sure abusing your authority.”
“Weren’t you the one who challenged me?”
“Guh… no comment about it.”
I once again lost againts Byakko. Challenging him and betting for who will hunt for the day is our daily thing.
Yeah… This is my daily life now. Living by hunting and sheltering under the trees while watching the starry night sky. Not only that, I was trained by Byakko so I can survive in this forest.
“… Your Aura controlling is still pathetic. Train more while hunting.”
What’s more, He teached me about the thing I possess… The Aura.
Aura was something that the Spirit Bearer possessed. It could be seen as measurement for the Spirit’s power. The thicker the Aura, the stronger the Spirit.
For me, I have an aura too. But I don’t have any spirit dwelled inside me. To top of it, my aura was invisible. When I arrived in the forest, I lost my memories and my Aura was raging.
Byakko helped me and adopted me from there. He was walking around when he found me. Truly a miraculous coincidence.
I went to the river and started hunting for fish. After fought over the salmon with the black bear, I went inside the older side of the forest to take some of the dry woods.
“Hm? Rabbit?”
Pure white rabbit came out from the bush and looking at me with its tilted head.
I crouched and started to calling it.
“Here, here… I’m not biting…”
I made a gesture and show it my goodwill. No longer after that, it came to me and brush its head to my hand.
“Ahaha! Good boy~”
I brushed its head and body with both of my hand. But suddenly, it jumped out from my hand and went inside the bush again.
“Hey, where are you going?”
I followed it into the bush… and I found a corpse with dried blood on top of it. The corpse of human with it’s whole skin on the body ripped off.
“The corpse was already stinks, and the blood was dried. He must be died quite a long time ago.”
Nauseous feeling started to filling me. I vomitted my inside after seeing the disgusting sight. The scene started to flash inside my head again, and this time, it’s more vivid and more disgusting.
I want to run away from this place, but…
“At least, I have to put a proper burial for it.”
I looked for a half circle shaped stone and cut it thin with Aura and tied it on a thick branch. After I dug out the soil, I put him inside and buried the ground.
“I hope you will be happpy in the next life.”
After praying for him, I walked back to find more dry woods.
The white rabbit still following me with something hanging on his mouth. He rubbed its head to me as if to makes me noticed it.
“What is it?”
I took it from the rabbit. It was a ring, a carved wooden ring. There was a name written on it.
“… So his name was Gerald…”
After thinking about it, I ended up taking it with me.
“I will hold this for now. If I met one of the person with the name carved on this ring, I will give it back to them.”
Beside the Gerald name, there were two other names.
Woody.
Franz.
Gerald and Woody name was black coloured, while Franz was white. I don’t know what it’s mean, but I decided to ignore it and put it inside my pocket for now.
“Alright! I will collect dry woods and went home after that. What about you?”
I asked the rabbit. It just nodded to me. What a smart rabbit.
“Okay then, be sure not to lose me!”
