For the last millennia, the country of Azad has remained a stronghold for many powerful individuals. This country is located in a mystical place in the world, unseen by the rest. Most are unaware of how the country was founded. Some stories or myths have emerged that a certain individual desired peace and the rest of the world was unwillingly to cooperate, and this individual decided to remove this country from the eyes of the world to liberate it from the shackles it was imposed. Some called this individual “Savior” while the most common name used is “The Creator”. However, some myths say that after this individual performed this miracle, they vanished never to be seen again. The country of Azad received its name for its meaning, “freedom from bondage.
Azad, a country that began as a country of peace and harmony, turned into a country of chaos and war. Power can be a dangerous tool and if not wielded by the right person, it could lead to destruction very quickly. This was the case when the Longwei family acquired the sacred treasure of the Yellow Dragon. A powerful and ancient entity that is known for his power hungry and corruption. Sacred treasures are treasures that hold strong and powerful mythical creatures and even gods from different pantheons. This sacred treasure the Longwei’s acquired, possessed a mythical creature that fueled the desire of the Longwei family to conquer the country of Azad and build an empire ruled by them and only them. This of course did not go well with others and quickly a revolution was formed. Through this war the once peaceful and harmonious country of Azad was no more. Now it was a country of war and power struggle. What was taking place was what “The Creator” removed this country from in the past.
In the end, the Longwei family took control with the help of strong individuals who held powerful sacred treasures. But even in defeat, the revolution army remained but hid to avoid capture and death. Through the centuries, the grasp over Azad from the Longwei family grew. The Longwei family established the Huanglong Empire, with the country being split into five areas. The four cardinal positions being West, North, South and East, and finally the center where the Longwei family resided and ruled from. The Longwei to ensure their dominance in all five areas, assured to have in each cardinal position a strong sacred treasure to easily combat any rebel attacks. Although the Longwei family had fulfilled their desire in ruling Azad and its inhabitants, there was one thing that made them uneasy. It was the sacred treasure “Kirin”, one of the most powerful treasures and the rival to the Yellow Dragon. The Longwei’s vowed to acquire this treasure to truly proclaim victory and complete control over Azad. The Longwei’s once said “For as long as The Kirin remains free, the Huanglong Empire can never set this country and its people free”.
As we move to the present, a certain young boy is finding himself in a dream sequence, but a very abnormal dream that could change the fate of his life. We enter into the dream of Gabriel Alba, a 16 year old boy from the West of Azad, in a small town called “Marlewood” which is a town filled with rich soil and resources. Gabriel finds himself navigating through a forest, rich in color and full of trees, yet dark and mysterious. This however, is not a forest he can recognize from his town or near it. As he continues to move through the forest, he hears a sound coming from behind. A normal person would become afraid and run for their life in despair, but this was not the first time that Gabriel explored a forest unknown to him. Even though it does not bring fear to Gabriel, there is still some worry that surrounds his mind due to the element of the unknown and mystery. As he enters further into the forest, the sound increases. This time it sounds like heavy breathing with a growl, resembling a dragon. But Gabriel was sure there was no possible way, a dragon could be in this forest.
The more he went into the forest he saw a bright colorful light. Gabriel found himself going through a portal, which did not seem like a portal a first glance. This portal still had the visuals of the forest, which would deceive anyone. Gabriel found some boldness in himself to go through the portal not knowing what lied ahead. When he made it through the portal he opened his eyes after previously closing them. When he opened his eyes, he noticed he was now inside a cave, that had precious gems that lit up the dark and ominous cave Of course like any individual being in an unknown place, curiosity took over Gabriel and he began to walk around the cave. As he looked at the orange, white, yellow, and pink gems, he was in awe. Through his exploration of the cave, he realized there was a gold and tall pedestal in the end of the cave. On top of that gold and tall pedestal was a a jade green orb that did not need any assistance from other gems to brighten the room. Because he was curious, Gabriel approached it in amazement but quickly heard a loud roar that erupted from the darkest corner of the cave. Wind began to pick up inside the cave, which was unnatural as there was no wind in caves. But Gabriel soon understood that the wind was not from outside but it was coming from a creature that emerged with fury. This creature came like a mighty whirlwind, surrounding Gabriel.

Now Gabriel and fear interacted for the first time during this dream. As he saw this creature swirling around him, he knew he was in big trouble. “I don’t want any problems, I don’t know how I got here.” Gabriel quickly exclaimed with now fear consuming him.
The creature was a diamond white dragon with hints of antique gold, peach orange, and light pink. The dragon had antique gold horns on his head with diamond white hair from the top of his head going down his neck. “Do not fear, for I am not your enemy Gabriel Alba.” The dragon spoke in a deep voice. Gabriel was shocked to hear the dragon speak, and was close to freaking out.
“This isn’t real, this is just a dream. This isn’t real, this is just a dream. This isn’t real, this is just a dream.” Gabriel repeated this phrase as he was getting closer and closer to losing his sanity.
“You are wrong, this is not a dream Gabriel Alba. I am real, just as you are real. It is I who have summoned you into my domain. It is I, who have chosen you to be my champion.” As the dragon said all of this, Gabriel was simply shocked at what he was listening to. All Gabriel could do was question what was taking place, how is this not a dream? Who is this dragon? Chosen to be a champion? What does that even mean?
Gabriel’s mind was filled with questions, uncertainty, and confusion. But somehow this mystical dragon was prepared to answer all of his questions. “I am an Elder Dragon, or to be precise I am Kirin. I am a powerful mythical creature from long ago that resides in the spirit realm. This that you see around you is my domain, my territory. I have been longing for a champion to represent me in the natural world, to combat against my enemies.”
“You’re the legendary Kirin! I didn’t think mythological creatures still existed. Wait, what do you mean your enemies?” Gabriel was slowly losing his fear as he recognized that Kirin was not a threat, but possible an ally and friend.
“All mythological creatures and gods still exist, but in the spirit realm. And just as I seek a champion they do as well. Some already possess a champion. Champions that are defending the natural realm and champions that are wrecking havoc in the natural realm. One of the mythical creature that helping wreck havoc is the Yellow Dragon, who has brought his corruption to your world. He sits at the top of your country with his champion, Emperor Jin Longwei.” As Kirin was speaking, there were more questions coming to him but this time they were of curiosity.
“Yea, I know Emperor Jin. He isn’t good, his men aren’t good either. Actually my father was captured by the empire because he stood up against the Emperor and the empire. But why are they your enemy?”
“They believe I am a threat to them in stopping their complete takeover. This is why I need you Gabriel Alba to become my champion, to stop the Yellow Dragon and the Emperor, to help free your country.”
As Gabriel heard the request of Kirin, he became motivated and inspired. “I’ll help you, I’ll become your champion. How do I start?”
“In order to become my champion you must find my sacred treasure. As of this moment, we can only connect temporarily and with limited time. Because I summoned you here then you and I can speak. But with my sacred treasure, you and I will be connected and become one.”
“Umm… Okay so what exactly is a sacred treasure?”
“Sacred treasure is how a mythical creature or god can grant their champion their own strength and power. A champion is the one who represents that mythical creature or god. A sacred treasure can be anything that relates to that mythical creature or god. Mine is this Jade Orb that you see.”
“Okay I understand now. So where is your sacred treasure located?” Gabriel asked Kirin.
“It is located in the inner mountains of Crimsonleaf. But you must hurry, I’m afraid the Emperor and his men have already made a move and headed towards Crimsonleaf. I recommend not going by yourself, but heading with a group of trusted friends to assist you. In fact it would be wise as it seems as though the White Tiger has been giving orders from the Emperor to capture my Jade Orb.”
“The White Tiger?” Gabriel questioned.
“You may know him in your world as the Grand Marshal of the West.” Kirin responded. Gabriel looked perplexed as he was not familiar with the military structure for the empire. The only one he was aware of was the Emperor himself but besides him, it was all a mystery to him. “Unfortunately our time has run out Gabriel Alba. Go acquire my sacred treasure before the empire gets ahold of it. If they do, it will be the end for your country and the beginning of the end for us all.”
“Wait! I know if I get the Jade Orb you and I will be able to become one, but will I see you again to receive your help during my mission?”
“If fate allows it, then I will find you. Until then waste no time and acquire my Orb for yourself.” immediately after Kirin said that, Gabriel was taken back to the natural realm and he awoke from his slumber in his bed. Gabriel knew that his life was now going to be radically changed and there was no going back now.
