“Oh boy what a nice surprise I didn't hought that I would see you so soon” Benjamin said with surprised look on his face.
“Hi Master...” I replied downhearted.
“What's with that face kid?” He asked me worried. “And why are you wearing this clothes? What happened to the ones I gave you? Benjamin asked confused.
“Eh? What are you talking about I'm always wearing them...” While saying that I took a look at my clothes. “Why i'm wearing the beginners clothes!?
“Don't ask me I just met you again” His master replied more confused than before because of what was happening.
I search for them in my inventory but they weren't there. It took me a couple of minutes to realize the horrible truth.
“It's all that dragons fault!!” I yelled angrily.
“Dragons fault!? Explain to me boy what have you been through!” Benjamin asked. He couldn't understand anything of what Dual was saying but after hearing about a dragon his face turned to the one of a five year old kid hearing the story of a hero.
'I can't believe that my precious clothes were burned off by that stupid dragon. One day I will get my revenge I will make him suffer like he did to me but ten times more.' He pledged in his mind that some day when he was strong enough he will go and kill that fucking dragon.
“Dual stop ignoring me and tell me about the dragon now!” His master yelled. Dual had completely forgot about his existence.
“Oh sorry master what were you saying? I didn't hear you” I said nonchalantly.
“TELL ME ABPUT THE DRAGON FOR GOD SAKE!!” Benjamin shouted with his face red from anger.
“Okay relax you don't have to yell like that let's go to your place and I will tell you” Dual said with an annoyed face.
“Finally...” His master sighed and calmed down.
They went to Benjamin house and talk in the living room while while drinking some tea. Dual wanted to have a nice talk with his master but...
“Now about the dragon” Master said with a gleam in his eyes.
“Yeah yeah i'm already tired of telling this story uh.” I sighed and started telling him the story from the beginning.
Like that I told him about the mission, the labyrinth and the dragon. I tried to make it short but Master kept asking me questions about my friends, the monster and every detail he could think of. In special about the princess.
'Why everyone asks about every detail' Dual complained in his thoughts.
“Haha what a nice adventure you had boy and what a particular girlfriend. You really have some weird tastes...” Benjamin laughed and at the end he said that about Luna with an awkward voice. “But it was really manly what you did.”
“Why does everyone tell me the same!? She is not my girlfriend yet and my tastes are not that weird.” I tried to retort but he ignored me.
“Well you can tell me about your girlfriend next time and present her to me.” Master said smiling. “That story of yours reminds me about the time when i fought a dragon.” He said the last thing with a nostalgic tone.
“You fought againts a dragon!?” I yelled without noticing.
“Hey what's with that reaction!? I maybe old now but back in the days I was pretty strong. You couldn't imagine how strong I was!” He shouted offended because of what I said.
“Sory my bad but please tell me about it” I apologized and asked with puppy eyes.
“Fine I will tell you but don't make that face it's disgusting” Benjamin said while making a furrowing his brows because of the face I made.
“Then tell me” Dual replied angry because of what his master said.
'And to think there was a time when everyone will call me cute when I made that kind of face' Dual thought about his dark past that only few people knew about.
“Good now listen abouut forty years ago...” Before he could continue I interrupted him.
“Forty years!? Just how old are you?” Dual asked surprised.
“You shouldn't ask about someones age thats impolite.” Master retored angrily.
“Thats when you ask a woman not a man!” I yelled.
“Men can also be sensitive about their age too” He tried to explain.
“Stop talking nonesense and tell me about the time you fought the dragon” I tried to end this stupid topic and talk about the important one.
“It's your fault for distracting me.” He compleined like a kid and continue. “So like I was saying before about forty years ago I went to an expedition with some people that were almost as strong as me to the north mountains. Our objective were some materials that you could only find there. After some days searching for them we found a strange cave that wasn't in the map and decided to enter. At the beginning it looked like any other cave but when we reached the end of it we found a room full of treasures. One of my comrade ran inside without thinking and that was the moment that we encounter him. It was a white dragon with enormous wings in his back and a pair of golden eyes. As soon as we saw him he was about to attack our comrade that was searching for the best treasures. We could barely defend us and our partner ended seriously injured but we managed to escape somehow.”
“Even master couldn't do anything against a dragon.” Dual said with sad look on his face. If his master with comrades couldn't beat a dragon how could he alone do something about it.
“It's not like that we managed to escape after all. If we had known about the dragon before entering and made some preparations he may have killed the dragon.” Master explained to me knowing that I would want to kill the dragon that made me suffer.
“Really? That's good then” Dual said relaxing a little.
Benjamin said this to him but the truth was that even if they prepared themselves like said he the chances of winning were only about 30%. But he thought that if it was the boy in front of him he would find a way to do it.
“Don't think about that now first you need to become stronger. Tell me your actual power and about the spirits you have a contract with.” Benjamin said trying to encourage me.
I told him all my skills and the two spirits that I had a contract with. Benjamin have a serious face but actually he was thinking...
'You must be kidding me how can this kid be so strong after this short time! It took me four years to make a contract with two spirit and for this brat it only took him a few months! How can a person with this luck exist!?'
“And what are you planning to do now?” He asked me.
“Well I was thinking of going to an elven village they might have more information about spirits than the rest of the races.” I explained to him.
“Thats a good idea elfs were the race that had the best relationship with the spirits even if you categorize it as bad. There must be around three elven village in this forest but you should go to this one is called Galian town it's only about one day from here. And don't worry they let humans enter we have a good relationship with them.” He took out a map from a deks at the corner of the room and pointed me the location of Galian ciy.
“Wow I didn't pay attention last time but this forest it's really huge.” Dual said amazed.
Last time when Benjamin showed him how to go to Norvex city he only notices that the Spirit forest was very near the entrance of the huge forest that had many villages and citys inside it.
“But now that I think about it what's the name of the huge forest?” I asked curiously.
“Didn't I tell you before it's Trinity forest” Master answered.
“Why did they name a village with the name forest in it? It's confusing?” I asked things that I never thought before because of my lack of interest.
“The reason is the small forest in the middle of the village. It's only for decoration after all because the spirits used to live inside the Trinity forest or thats what they told me.” He ended the explanation.
“Well enough of this chat. It was good to see you master but I should leave” I said.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
“Okay but come again to visit me and next time don't forget to bring your girlfriend with you. I really want to meet that girl.” Benjamin said with a grind in his face.
“Shut up” I replied coldly and left I was really tired of people mocking me like that. It will be more tolerable if she was my grilfriend but... it's better not to think that now.
I went to buy the best leather armor and some food. The armor wasn't as good as the old one and also it didn't upgrade with him while he leveled up but it was better than nothing. Dual still had a lot of money because he barely spent any on all of his time playing and he always sold the loot he got from the monsters so he could buy the armot without problems. The money in the game was like in most of the others MMORPG 1 gold coin it's equal to 100 silvers or 10000 coppers. At the moment he was wearing the leather armor with brown pants and his two swords at the back.
'Luckily my swords are fine. I can be without the spirit cloths but without the swords I wouldn't be able to fight. I don't need special armor to use the skills that affect my body but I need a pair of swords that I can pour the spiritual energy.' Dual was thinking of this before leaving the place where everything started.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
After travelling for an entire day he arrived at Galian town. It was a beautiful town with a lot of elegant buildings nothing that he have see before. You could see that most of the people were elfs but there were some humans between them. Dual didn't have any problem to enter the city the guards let him pass after asking some routine questions.
'The first place that I can think about information is the library' Dual thought and ask where it was and went there.
As soon as he arrived he asked the old lady in the front desk about the information that he was looking for.
“Excuse me miss do you have any books about spirits?” I tried asking while smiling and being polite. But as soon as she heard the words spirits she made a frown and replied me.
“Sorry but we barely have books about spirits and they are only available for certain people but to tell you the truth the books we have only tells the basic information that every people who knows the existence of spirits already know” She finished saying with a cold but polite voice.
“I see thanks for everything.” I said and left without saying another word.
'It's really weird that even the elfs don't have information about spirits. The old lady turn cold when I said information about spirits but I don't think she lied to me about the books. Let's try asking other people about spirits.' Dual thought and went to ask diferent people about this.
After some hours Dual was sitting on a bench near the market while thinking about the answers the people game him. Something weird happened.
'Most of the people that I asked didn't knew even the basic information but thats normal what's weird is that some people react when I told them that I was looking for information about spirits and they turn really cold towards me and said that i should stop asking about that but why?' Dual was pondering about this.
It didn't make sense to him that elfs who were the ones that could make more contracts that the rest of the races with the spirits don't even talk about it. Normally they would brag about it.
'Something is wrong here. I don't know if it's only this city ot all the elven villages don't talk about spirits. I need to have more intimacy with them so I can know the truth about it.'
Dual knew that something odd was happening but the only ones who could tell him more about it were the elfs themselves.
It was already night in the game so he decided to talk to someone before continuing with this. He needed to knew how his friends were after he died so he started chatting with Shadow.
Dual: Hey Shadow can you talk now?
Shadow: Sure we were waiting for you to talk to someone of us. Are you okay? it must have hurted a lot being killed by a dragon.
Dual: Yeah it hurt like hell but well apart from that everything is fine. And also i'm sorry I didn't knew about the resurrection point
Shadow: Yeah we thought that you didn't knew about it but at the end it was better like this.
Dual: Things are that bad?
Shadow: Well to make it short after you died Luna and Terra yelled at each other and Terra slapped her after Luna said some stupid things at that moment you could feel the tension in the air. Now we have been traveling for these three days. The mood is a little better but it is still very awkward and nobody is talking. We are going to arrive to Norvex city tomorrow.
Dual: Wow I didn't expect that it would turn out like that. For Terra to be mad at princess who would have thought that that could happen.
Shadow: She had her reasons you needed to be there to understand. Even I who was there couldn't understand it completely.
Dual: That's because you are an idiot who only thinks perverted things.
Shadow: Sarah said the same... well it doesn't matter now what are you doing now?
Dual: I'm searching for more information abouut my class in an elf city near the village where I started the game but it's hard and i'm really tense because of this and also the whole thing about the princess.
Shadow: I understand I think that seeing how Luna and you are it's better if you don't meet for the moment.
Dual: You are right who would have thought that you could give such a good advice. She needs time to think and i'm really tense because of this.
Shadow: You don't need to be so rude.
Dual: You are right it's decided I will focus in this now thanks for the advice Shadow. I will dissconnect my chat window so no one can bother me. Bye see you later.
Shadow: No problem good bye.
'He is a pervert but he is a good guy after all' Dual though of his friend and started to make some quests in the city to raise his intimacy with the elfs.
He spent the next three days doing quests for the elfs. He received quests to vlean the dishes, help old people, hunt some monsters, delivery some letters, etc. At the moment Dual was talking to the guard of the front gate.
“It's good that you are here you have been helping us a lot this time” The guard said smiling.
“How can I not help the people who live in the trinity forest after all I came from I village near here I know that sometime things can me hard inside here.” Dual said trying to be humble.
“Don't be so modest about it boy you are becoming slowly known at the city” The guard kept talking like that with him.
'It will take me a lot of time to raise the intimacy to the level I need' Dual though annoyed. After this three days doing quests nonstop he was on the level of being friendly with them and he needed a lot more than that. 'But this is the only way so I need to bear for it now'
“So is there anything that I can do for help I can't stand here without doing anything.” I asked like a hero who helped all the persons in need.
“Well there is this cave near the city and a lot of monster have been coming out of it. We need someone to go and clean the cave for us” The guard finished saying.
Quest received.
Kill all the monster insede the cave near the city.
Difficulty: B
Rewards: Intimacy raised with the people of Galian city.
1 gold and 50 silvers.
“It will be my honor to do it” I replied and left to the location.
'That's weird I heard about this mission before from some people at a bar while eating but the difficulty was C+. They must have been wrong after all' Dual decided to not think about it to much and went where the cave was.
He didn't knew that the people that were talking about the mission received the same mission but couldn't complete it because monsters that were to much strong for the level of difficulty were there. No one knew that something inside the cave was attracting stronger monsters and was raising the difficulty of the quest that at the beginning was at C-. Dual was going to encounter something that would really benefit him and also bring him a lot of problems.
