THE HOURMEN AND THE STYGIAN COVENLORDS Part 1

A dark portal swirling with a blue ring around it formed in the sky on earth. From it came an armada. The fleet of the Xyrax The Ebon King. The colossal dreadnought’s hull pierced existence itself as it emerged from the wyrmhole. The instant it fully crossed the line, gravity shifted as the sheer mass of the vessel was enough to disrupt the gravitational force on the earth. It was as if a small moon suddenly appeared. The shift was instant, almost as if the ship didn’t physically exist in this space until it was completely through the portal. The second gravity shifted everything going in the direction of the ship was lighter. Running away was harder than it should've been as everything was slightly tugged towards the object. Hundreds of SUV sized humanoids rained from the ship as the bottom of it split open the maw of a beast that shouldn't exist. As they landed craters were formed. They stood up covered head to toe in their thick dense natural armor carrying objects resembling two handed warhammers. They swung with a speed unexpected from a creature of their size and instantly began razing all the structures within their gaze with a complete disregard for the terrified humans nor the brave warriors who took up arms against them. Men and women grabbed chairs, bats, knives and anything they could find and ran up to the creatures and attacked with all their fury. The chairs and bats broke whilst the knives only barely broke the skin before getting deflected by their incredibly dense muscle fibers. The few police officers that were not either terrified or in shock fired their weapons to no effect. A local gun store owner barged out from the doors to his shop with a high powered shotgun and fired off a point blank blast at one of the creatures which seemed to hurt it. As it grunted, white colored blood trickled from the wound for a few seconds before the blood formed a scab. The creature didn't even glance at the man as it continued to help its brethren flatten the landscape. Soon after came The Sanguine Horde of Zylix Quaroth. From a distance it looked like a massive clump of ants dropped from the ship as hundreds of thousands of man sized creatures plummeted to the ground without regard for their individual lives. As if they’re mere cannon fodder, that's only value comes from their numbers. Hundreds died on impact forming a bloody gorey landing pad for the others with their once blue porcelain brittle skinned bodies and their small eyeless heads. Those that survived trampled whatever was in their way as they ran at and attacked anything that moved other than themselves. Most seemed to know better than to attack the creatures from the first wave but those that didn’t were not ignored like the gunman from earlier but were quickly and violently destroyed by the monstrous armored creatures. They eradicate all life in the area killing men, women, children, dogs, cats and anything else that was alive. Nothing could escape their heat sensing pit organs or their highly sensitive ears. The only things left were the bodies, the rubble and the mount of dead thralls. It was utter annihilation.
