Hello everyone, it's been a while!
For those of you who haven't joined my discord this is just a quick post to keep you up to date on how things are going on my end. I appreciate your continued patience as I work on getting the publishing for Spire Dweller nailed down!
----------------------------------------
I'm currently waiting to get my edited book one back from the Line Editor. I don't know exactly when that'll be, but once I have my manuscript back I'll accept/reject the edit suggestions and send it off to Podium to start on recording the audiobook.
To summarize the main changes:
- I gave Samantha a more distinct motivation for becoming a cultivator, which in turn affected the relationship/interactions with her family. Quite a few new scenes came from this, so that's something to hopefully look forward to!
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
- I removed the scenes related to dealing with the Verdant Stallion cultivator because they didn't contribute much to plot or characterization that I didn't achieve elsewhere
- I modified the progression system slightly and refreshed some System notification formats. Most of these modifications you likely wouldn't notice on a reread unless I pointed them out, but they make it easier for me, personally, to deal with and keep track of (e.g. getting rid of half-value attribute bonuses in some situations and making them whole-point increases).
While a majority of the story beats remain the same, just enough is different where there would be a distinct disconnect between the edited book 1 and unedited book 2 if I uploaded the changes to RoyalRoad now. Depending on when Mango Media decides to publish to KU I may be able to post the edits to book 1 and 2 here simultaneously before I need to stub anything.
----------------------------------------
As for what I'm working on right now...
I've already started my book 2 edits and will hop right into writing the newest volume once those are finished. I also have a Patreon set up and ready to be launched once I have a small backlog of book 3 chapters I can offer to patrons!
Again, thank you so much for your patience. I look forward to continuing Samantha and Silas's adventures with you all soon.
