* Third quest day 2 will begin in 5 minutes *
As the system finished, A hundred hobgoblins and the boss spawned 500 meters away and with that, new people were summoned to the CHG. They looked around but unlike at his first CHG, they were calm and collected.
Stevenson walked up to them and began giving instructions. Then Stevenson came towards Luke and asked him again what his ability was, pressing on the fact that if he didn't tell, he would not participate. Luke still stayed silent, not even looking at him and observed the monsters.
Luke who looked over curiously was quite disturbed by what he saw. They had firearms. He knew they were allowed from the third quest and onwards but he thought it was only for the humans, not the monsters. Furthermore, their firearms were quite futuristic looking while the humans's were normal, like his which he didn't have to use up until now. Thinking back, there were no firearms in the first day on either side... Anyway, it's quite disturbing looking at ugly hobgoblins holding futuristic weapons.
For the others, though, the sight was more than just disturbing. It was horrendous. Their dangerosity just rose up by a notch even though their numbers didn't change. This time, there were nothing other than firearms wielding hobgoblins and a firearm-wielding red skinned ogre. Seeing the ogre, Luke had his mouth twitching and a tic mark on his forehead. He felt like he was purposefully taunted... 5 minutes later, the system once again resounded.
* The third quest day 2 begins now, you have to kill all your enemies. Rewards will be awarded based on your performance.
Good luck humans *
The hobgoblins who were keeping still and quiet scrambled immediately after the prompt. Their advance was chaotic and the ogre was staying in the back looking at the opposing humans. Once again, a terrain appeared in the midst of their advance. This time, it was a beach with low leveled sea that only kept people knee deep.
The hobgoblins resumed their advance and stopped 50 from the humans to take aim and fire. The humans who already took aim fired first then hid behind shield wielding people. It seems that Stevenson was a good leader who planned things in advance and didn't just have power for the principle of having it.
The 'mages' fired both with their firearms and their abilities. They spammed abilities and as fire was the most common element, lots of fire abilities were fired but this created steam from the water below. Moreover, the enemies touched by fire just had to dive down to extinguish it. This thus brought two problems

First was the ineffectiveness of fire and second was the steam that hid the hobgoblins from their sight.
The hobgoblins' shot were not accurate but they were powerful. In no time at all, the shields became more and more damaged to the point that they would break too quickly for the initial advantage to be worthy. The exchange of fire continued and as Luke thought that Stevenson's strategy was becoming useless as the humans' side's advantage was brought to naught, the shield-wielding people all dove down and Isabella who did not participate until now charged out with a 360°shield like ability that rendered the bullets useless.
Then she swung a spear that was strapped to her back and a wave of light shot off, killing a fourth of the enemies, and she repeated the action five times, killing the remaining hobgoblins. She then got back to regroup with everyone else and they all advanced at the same time to confront the ogre. It brought up its large rifle and shot. What emerged from it was a pressurized water jet that pierced everything it passed by, Isabella's shield included. She dodged to the side and ran towards it swinging her spear provoking the light wave to appear. It did some damage to the ogre but not only was the wound small, but it also healed fast.
Seeing this result she ran back. The ogre shot its water jet at her which pierced her shoulder and killed someone behind her. Stevenson who was at the back was shocked. The last boss was easily disposed of by a similar strategy but the jump in strength was just too much. If things continued like this, they would all die but he couldn't do anything. Its strength was just too much and he himself only had a support type ability which he used on Isabella but it was pierced right through.
As he was worrying, Luke who watched on the side was leisurely appraising the fight. He was seriously amazed by their strategy and strength. Compared to his last 'teammates', it was really impressive, even more so for Isabella. She had a powerful ability that dealt quite a bit of damage.
Knowing that awakened abilities didn't cost mana, only stamina made it all the more impressive. However, because he was here, the difficulty of the mini-boss fight went up. It can be seen from the fact that they made short work of the mobs but couldn't do much to the mini-boss. He then looked at Stevenson who was biting his lips in worry and began thinking on whether he would help them or just let them be until they died. After a bit of thinking, he decided to help them 'to the limits of his abilities' since he had a theory he would like to try. But for this theory, he needed a guinea pig-willing partner.
He got up and ran towards the mini-boss. He didn't go to fight it upfront but decided to get around it and deliver powerful sneak attacks in a hit and run tactic. He released dark hands by batch of ten for each of his attacks, giving powerful blows that worked better than the others's. Of course, the ogre wouldn't just let itself be and tried to counterattack but the others diverted its attention so that Luke could strike. After a while, it died and they all cheered. All, except for Luke who already knew this species's cheat code.
