My mother arrived at my side just as the first levels of my defences were simply disintegrated.
"Have you done all the preparations I asked you to do?" She asked me as soon as she entered my core chamber.
"Of course. We can leave at any time." I had filled my sphere and space with as much resources as I could, filled in my core chamber with diagrams and formations of her making and recalled all of my proudest creations. But her next sentence struck me motionless for the first time since this desaster started.
"Not we. Gaios, my child, I cannot leave with you. They will track me down first." Sadness filled her pure eyes, yet there was determination as well. An unbrakeable will, which I knew could no longer be changed, was hidden in that answer.
I hesitated before shifting my space around her in my own form of a hug. "How will you escape? Those bastards will not be satisfied before they can get both of us."
She laughed. Mirth and derision in her voice she simply stated "They will not get me. I made sure of that. Of that and that they will regret ever starting this war."
I shuddered. When my mother was like this I knew just how scary she could be. After all, she was the goddess that had raised me. Known by many a name such as Gaia, Nuwa and more she was one of the most ancient and wisest gods out there.
She looked at me. Studied me. Almost as if trying to imprint my image into her retina. And I stared back, silent. Finally she sighed and looked towards the outside. My second levels of defence were halfway destroyed already.
Ever since the first true creator left the other gods god restless. No new unverses were made and over short or long all resources in all universes would be claimed. Leaving only trash and useless realms for the rest.
It was around that time someone I trusted betrayed me and revealed my ability to create new space to everyone. Planting the seed of rumors which resulted in my current ordeal.
Most of these greedy shits believed they could become a new true creator, capable of creating entire universes and not just cutting of space and repurposing it. The only thing needed for that would be to obtain me and enslave me for eternity.
None of these upstarts could hold a candle to my mother. But... but... but they were many and we were few. Even an elephant can drown in a sea of ants. And I was no elephant.
"You should get ready. I will do everything i can to give you as much time as needed, but I cannot say how much time you will have at your destination. The only thing I can say is... no nevermind you will find out soon enough."
I grew confused. What did she mean? I knew better than to ask but still grew nerveous. Did she fear someone could follow the teleportation? With all the scrambling I did? With all her added security messures? Some of which even I did not understand?
It was at this moment a rumble went through my very being. One of the more powerfull god had launched an attack and obliterated everything up to my level four defences. A great area of my influence was simply eradicated, leaving even my level five defences weakened.
Did they feel the danger of opposing mother Gaia? For them to attack directly like this, they were shedding all forms of pretens and declaring open war. Had they gained a backer? Maybe one of the truly ancient ones had let himself be bribed.

I looked at my adoptive parent and saw her be serious for the first time in millenia. She whispered a name that rang ice and thunder in my very essence even though I could not hear it. Rage and betrayal followed by resignation and sadness flew over her expression before her face turned cold.
"I will start the transfer. Prepare yourself." She turned to me and released her energy. "This will be my last gift to you. Treasure it. I hope it will help guide you and stay true towards your goals."
A small light left her hand and entered my core, merging with myself. "This is but a seed and by far not complete. You will have to finish it if you want to survive."
Before I was able to answer anything, she opened her eyes wide and activated all formations at the same time. I felt myself be ripped apart. My influence severed and my mana being confined into myself. The worst pain I ever expirienced assailed me and yet I could not leave my gaze from the figure that had once found and raised me. Resulting in her having to face the mayority of all pantheons in existence.
----------------------------------------
Gaia raised her hand, sending a surge of time, space and chaos energy into the portal. She scrambled all evidence of what had happened here and laid false evidence at the same time.
For the first time in eons she got truely serious. Her very being exploding with lights of all kinds. Manifestations of barely restrained energy.
When she had found the little marble of wonders it was barely old enough to speak like a toddler. She smiled when she remembered their first meeting. It had actually tried to eat her.
She giggled. After such a long time raising this little ball of miracles she herself had learned almost as much from him as he had from her. She would never tell him though. Her pride as a parent depended on it.
She strolled through the decaying lines of defence, always keeping her gaze to the front. Reminiscing for as long as she could she arrived near the frontline.
Looking up all smiles faded from her visage and a cold and disgusted frown crested her face. Her rage filled the surroundings. Everything stilled.
Most of these newborne gods had never seen her serious. With just a simple shake of her hand the surroungs fell apart. A sphere of pure destruction spred around her reaching an unlucky small god and ending him immediatly.
Her voice was calm and cold. Devoid of any emotion. "You will not find what you came to get here! It does no longer exist here. I made sure of that!" She looked around, putting every single divine being around to memory. There was no killing intent in her, she had no need of such for little cockroaches like these.
"Why don't you show yourself? I know you organized this rabble. Don't force me reveal your Name." She threatened.
A small giggle flowed threw the silent mass. Space twisted and a shape revealed itself. Childlike yet not, male and female at the same time, human shaped but also animalistic in appearance. A strange mass of unidenfiable bodies appeared that no mortal would be able to identify. And still Gaia managed to percieve its very essence.
"And what do you want to do? Kill all these small fry? Even for you that would be too much." The strange apparition smiled at Gaia.
"I will do no such thing. I just want to let you know, that you came in vain. You are too late." A sphere of space expanded around her and a hole opened up around her. A border between realms was broken and existence itself shifted around her before it vanished as if it had never existed in the first place.
"As I said, you are far too late."
"You didn't!" The ancient being demanded enraged. "You would never do that to your own! I know you far too well for that."
"Believe what you will, but I would never leave my own to one such as yourself." And with that a rip in the fabric of existence opened and swallowed her before the apparition could do anything.
"NOOOOO! Search everything! Don't let her escape! Those powers are MINE! I am MEANT to be the new creator. Not this weak willed BITCH of a coward!" The ancient god raged and ordered his minions around.
Before long they found the core chamber, but couldn't find out anything other than an ritual having been done there. What kind of ritual they could not tell. Chaos had destroyed any way to reverse time and view what had happened there.
The leader of all those greedy gods. The griediest of them all raged before he commanded all his troops to search everywhere for Gaia and if possible her spawn. He refused to believe she had sacrificed her own child to ascend, just so he could not. He regreted not acting himself sooner.
But nothing he discovered gave him hope. There was no sign of Gaia and no sign of the source of his ambition either. So he left with regret and left his minions to do his bidding.
