*500 Years Later*
*Year: 3042 Day:228*
*Great Green Cliff: Hundred plains."
...
Clear blue skies dominate the sky, with only the sun rising above, one could feel the heat during this summer. On the vast green plains, countless tents could be seen, and thousands of people on this small patch of encampment area had gathered.
However, one would notice that the majority of these people were all children that range from ten to fifteen years old! Although there are still many handful amounts of adults, they're here to motivate their children by slapping their children's head to have their minds quickly get used of fear and pain, such crude method but it actually works! And such treatments to the children were praised by the many.
These people were preparing for their children on a worldwide event that would take place on the central continent where beasts live.
This event was special because during year 3040, the god of madness, their domain lord ordered his men to have a special competition for the people of his world and give them a chance to have meaningful gifts for the winners of such event.
An event that will take place on the central continent, on year 3042 on the day 290. This event is called the 'road to hell', because this event, only children from ages 10 to 15 could only participate, and what made people love this event and got hooked to it was purely because of madness and craziness because this event is a survival competition, where their children had their cultivation suppressed and kill each other or kill beasts to obtain points for five years.
These points, when gathered, would determine the position of the player's rank on the competition, the more points accumulated, the more chances of getting an award from the God of Madness.
These thousands of children will ride flying beasts with the size of a lake, and each child will only be given a divine consumable item, and that is a bird feather enchanted by the god himself, as for it's effects and purpose many have crazy speculations that made people excited.
There are total eleven regions in the world of Great Green Cliff, the central continent will become a battlefield for these children, and this battlefield would be divided into ten areas where players from the ten regions would take place.
The battlefield would shrink by inch every day, and before the grand final, each region should have at least ten participants left before they are allowed to enter on the grand final.
And because of this, many children have started creating factions, each faction has ten members as they were guided by their adults for their strategy on how to win the event, and the higher-ups allowed this since children would run on the wilds like a headless chicken.
And this is the reason why children are scattered around the encampment area from the southeast region of Hundred plains to recruit members for their factions.
...
On a busy road around the encampment area, three small figures could be seen running on the streets, two boys and one girl. The three of them are swift and very nimble as they pass every nook and cranny places quickly.
One of the boys has dark hair, dark eyes, he wore a loose black linen shirt and shorts, with leather handguards, shoulder guards and knee guards, and a small knife tucked on his leather belt. While the other boy had a brunette hair and dark eyes, he wore dark linen pants while wearing light leather armor, and behind his back, he only had a small broad sword. Meanwhile the young girl behind them had much better equipment than the two, she wore a white linen dress and leather chest plate, and she also have armors on her joints of her body while a silver rapier was attached on her waist, her hair was blonde in color while her eyes were blue, she actually looked cute.
"Do you think we lost them, Ray?" The boy with brunette hair asked while the three of them are running away from someone.
The boy named Ray, laughed as he shook his head, "Hahaha, I don't think so, those bastards had always wanted to beat the sh*t out of me, whoa!"
"Hey! That's dangerous you damned brats! That's cool but..."
"Sorry, old geezer!" Ray had almost hit a person as he waved his hand while still running.
"Pfft~ Ray you suck!" The girl behind them laughed.
"Oh shut it, Kate." Ray shrugged his shoulders, "Our pursuers are probably catching up." He took a peek behind his back, soon what he had noticed is countless figures running towards them, while different types of bandanna covered their foreheads.
"Speaking of the devils..."
"RAY JOIN TO OUR BESTIALITY, IT MEANS BEST FRIENDS WITH ABILITIES!"

"Shut it! I have a weird feeling about that!"
"THEN RAY FORGET THESE IDIOTS, JOIN US, THE GREAT BEARS!"
"F*ck that! Your naming sucks!"
"NUH-UH, F*CK YOU TOO, WE'VE SPENT TIME ON THINKING THIS!"
"KATE!!! FORGET THOSE TWO DUMB IDIOTS, JUST JOIN US TO ALL GIRLS DAWNBREAKER!"
"What the frick! Why those girls have awesome group name! You guys compared to these girls, ya'all sound sissy!"
On the already crowded place, multiple figures of children created havoc on a narrow road on the encampment area, even the adults couldn't help to run on the side of the road while cussing on these children.
The three of them looked to each other before nodding their heads, soon, the three of them pumping their qi inside their body, the three of them suddenly increased the speed leaving the mob of children behind.
"Madness! The three of them are already in qi condensation rank!?" One of the children shouted in amazement.
"Follow them! This what makes them worthy of being one of our comrades!" The leader of the great bears shouted to his companions.
...
Far away from the encampment area, there's a small hill covered by trees, behind the cover of these trees, three small figures are standing facing each other, these were naturally Ray and his friends.
"Ray, do you think we finally lost them?" Kate asked as she leaned her back on the tree.
Crossing his arms, Ray smiled as he nodded, "Yeah, pretty much, those guys haven't even started cultivating so we naturally had the advantage to escape with this guys and it's a good thing that we didn't join those because if we joined those factions, we would be forced to take the lead and handle those weaklings, it'll be a hassle and will only create hatred if we ever make it out successfully." He sighed.
"I really hate when you speak like that, sounds lame." Mark shrugged his shoulders before wryly smiling at Ray, "But still that makes sense."
"Well we can't do anything about it now, our life is on the line this time, so we better have to be careful." Ray shook his head as he sighed, even himself, he wanted to do something crazy with those factions since it will be amusing.
Kate whose been listening to these two boys finally stepped forward and crossed her arms, "So, what's our plan now, we only have two days to prepare." She asked.
"Easy, we will be a team of our own because we had the highest chance of surviving in this game if we teamed up. Now, for the last game, we can only force ourselves to join the last faction." Ray explained as he smiled.
"Wow, that plan is so crude." Kate rolled her eyes before smiling.
"Hahaha, whatever! I like that plan, there are many risks you know! That's the amazing thing about this plan." Mark laughed while patting Kate's shoulders.
"Whatever, the craziness of the two of you is what I really like." Kate laughed softy, and on that moment, the two boys had their face locked towards that beautiful face of hers, the two of them couldn't help to blush.
"A-Ahem." Seeing their stupid faces, Kate cough before turning around with a pink tint on her cheeks, "A-anyway, I'll return to my camp now, let's meet tomorrow." She didn't look at the two and quickly walked away while waving her hand at them.
After she left, both Ray and Mark looked to each other and noticed what their expressions have created, and the first one to lose was Ray as he laughed loudly, "BAHAHAHA! What kind of face is that you looked like you have been shoved in the dirt to plow the land!" he pointed on the face of Mark.
"Hahaha, dude shut it, you're no better than me." Mark laughed and slapped Ray's hand as he shrugged before walking away.
"E-ey! Wait up!"
...
As the sun sunk in the horizon, darkness filled the skies as stars show its brilliant lights bringing the beauty of the night skies. The entire encampment area had also lit upbringing a beautiful scenery on this great plains.
Far away from the encampment area, two small figures sat on the grassy hills as they enjoy the view on their spot.
Ray and Mark were naturally these two figures, looking on the scenery of this place, the two of them couldn't help to remember this place and would naturally come back on this place to enjoy the landscape once more if they ever got out or returned alive from the upcoming event.
They want to remember this not only because of its beauty, but also for its peacefulness because once they enter the battlefield, they wouldn't be able to enjoy this scene as they have to be wary on their surrounding, and the ground would be littered with dead bodies.
After the long silence, Mark broke it as he gave a long deep sigh.
Noticing this, Ray looked at him and asked, "What's the matter?"
"..." Mark didn't respond immediately as he stared at the stars before looking at Ray seriously, "If I die on the battlefield, can you please take care of my mother? Not only that but make Kate also happy..." He said faintly that Ray could only hear.
Ray had his eyes enlarge when he heard this, he quickly grabbed Mark's shoulders, "Dude, you can't say that we will survive this and the three of us will escape-" He wanted to assure something only to be cut off by Mark.
"Ray, we can't ignore the possibility of getting killed, we're not that powerful yet, and there's a great chance that we will encounter powerful players there. I might die, you might die... Even Kate might die..." His voice was faint; however, it was hoarse.
"..." Ray was silent, and the pain on his heart slowly crawled on the tip of his heart.
"That's why I want you to promise me that you will take care of my family and Kate if I ended up dying in that place..." Mark looked straight to Ray's eyes.
Ray closed his eyes before nodding his head with a sigh, soon a cold glint appeared in his eyes once it opened up he assured Mark, "I will do that. However, I will never let you die in a place like that, even Kate!"
Mark smiled as he shook his head, "You're really amazing man, fear in a mad lad like you are really on the back of your head."
"Of course, if I fear something I will end up dead or weak, we can't be consumed with fear on this world, we will never grow and will end up being suppressed by the strong, fearing something is not an option." Ray turned his head towards the encampment area while faintly saying that.
Hearing this, Mark looked at Ray... I'm glad that I have a friend like you... I'm really pathetic compared to you, Ray.
"Oh well, let's meet tomorrow." Mark stretched his body before standing up, he looked at Ray with a smile, "I guess I have to train hard, I can't lose to a man like you, I'm afraid that Kate will end up choosing you."
Ray laughed as he stood up while shaking his head, "Whatever man, Good luck." He threw a fist towards Mark while he did the same.
The two fists bumped before walking away as they separated.
Ray, while walking towards his camp, he looked at his palm before clutching it tightly... I will never let someone important die quickly... If they did, I will show them what real fear is...
