The stars twinkled in the sky, and the moon hung like a silver lantern, casting a mystical light over the world below. The hillside, once a canvas of vibrant hues, was now bathed in monochrome shades of black and white.
On the balcony, Angel stood like a princess in a fairy tale, her beauty illuminated by the moon's glow. Her delicate features and gentle demeanour were enchanting, a sight that could rival even the most beautiful heroine in a storybook. She stood there, lost in thought when the sound of voices interrupted her reverie.
"Let me go! If we keep running like this, we will screw for sure!"
"Calm down! This is only a part of the plan."
"Are you kidding me!?"
She turned to see the principal rushing towards the dorm, his eyes wide with fear. Behind him, a strange, bat-like creature with four large wings pursued him.
With a sense of urgency, she rushed back into her room and quickly changed into her uniform. Without hesitation, she made her way to the dorm's front yard. It was late, and almost everyone was fast asleep, allowing her to slip out unnoticed.
While she made her way to the principal and the mysterious creature, Angel's mind raced with questions. What was that thing? And why was it after the principal? With every step she took, she knew she was getting closer to the answers she sought.
As the distance between the trio of Asaga, Dark Blood, the principal, and the dormitory kept shrinking, John's heart raced as he felt the weight of responsibility on his shoulders. He knew he had to do something if he wanted to prevent any harm from coming to his school or fellow students. With a quick movement, he turned his body to the right and lifted his right hand high, and shouted:
[Shadow Dimension]
A gigantic shadow cage appeared, then covered a large area. It isolated them from the outside world. The principal and Dark Blood needed to end this fast before things became worse if everyone saw Asaga’s demon form. But, John did nothing but let out a smile. Dark Blood noticed his strange behaviour.
"What's so funny?"
And, John simply replied, "It's all part of the plan. Look to your left."
Dark Blood turned to the left, and to their surprise, they saw Angel standing there, looking confused. Holding her activated SoulEquiqment in hand, a bright sabre with many gorgeous patterns, Angel said while approaching the principal.
“Principal! Why are you here this midnight?”
“It’s hard to expl- Watch out!”
Before she could fully assess the situation, the principal pushed her aside. A sharp object whizzed by their faces and embedded itself deeply into the ground, causing a violent tremor that shook the area.
The sudden movement caught Dark Blood's attention and it quickly made its way to them, ensuring their safety.
"Are you all right? Oh, hello princess, nice to meet you!" Dark Blood greeted Angel with a nod, its dark smoke-like form seeming to shift and contort in response to her presence.
Angel couldn't help but feel a mix of surprise and fear at the sight of the dark creature until she heard its voice.
“I know you!”
John enlisted to explain and introduce it to her.
“Angel, this is Dark Blood, Asaga’s SoulEquiqment.”
She had recognized it as the one that had guided her through the treacherous Dark Dimension to rescue Asaga. Excitement and curiosity surged within her, however, she was aware that this was not the time for chatting. Their priority was dealing with the demon in front of them.
Dark Blood, sensing Angel's thoughts, gave her a quick nod before they once again evaded Asaga's attack. The creature seemed relentless, but they had to find a way to defeat it.
"It is a pleasure to see you again," Dark Blood spoke once more. "By the way, he's coming again!"
"DIE!"
With a thunderous roar, Asaga brought his head onto the ground, creating a violent shockwave that shook the entire area. Angel quickly plunged her glowing sabre into the ground, using it to anchor herself and maintain her balance. Meanwhile, the principal struggled to keep himself upright without any assistance. The situation inside the shadow cage was becoming increasingly complicated, while outside the night remained tranquil and undisturbed.
The rage reached a fever pitch, and he bellowed out a cry of "Slaughter!". Asaga's four wings expanded, casting an ominous shadow over the dark cage. His once-clear eyes were now coated with a red, glowing liquid, making them shimmer with madness and horror. His hair was matted with slimy black strands that clung to his filthy shoulders. A leprous, oozing growth partially concealed his bony and gruesome features, giving him an even more sinister appearance.
“This is not gonna end well. I don't want to hurt you Asaga.” John let out a deep sigh.
“Asaga-” Both Angel and Dark Blood expressed their sadness by uttering his name.
The boy's body had become a grotesque distortion of humanity, a horrific caricature of whatever twisted force had given rise to him. It was far worse than Dark Blood had initially suspected. He had become so corrupted, beyond what anyone could have imagined.
The blood sword that had lodged itself into the ground earlier suddenly flew back into his hand. As he grasped the sword, a demonic flame erupted from the blade, engulfing it.
The figure before them was not the same Asaga they had known, a mere student with inherited powers from the Divine Duo. Instead, they faced a demon freshly escaped from the depths of hell, seething with unfathomable fury and agony, wielding a power that was comparable to Komodo. Insanity had taken over the boy’s mind, twisting and warping his thoughts into a terrifying and dangerous form.
"You have abandoned me... betrayed me... You must die!" Asaga’s words became distorted and filled with hatred.
[Slash of Apocalypse]
Driven by endless madness, Asaga unleashed an enormous amount of demonic energy at Angel. It leapt forward like a starving tiger when it saw its prey. Fast and furious, the destructive energies erased every obstacle lying in its path. Pressure poured on Angel, she raised her sword to catch it.
[Hades Protection]
A thick and dark liquid substance emerged from the ground, creating a wall that shielded her from the blast. The greasy and murky barrier pulsated with a strange energy, almost as if it had a life of its own. John had used his powerful magic to conjure the defensive wall, and it had worked perfectly.
As the explosion died down, Asaga looked bewildered, almost shocked that his attack had been stopped so easily. The chaos still lurked in his eyes, but there was a hint of confusion there too. He couldn't understand why his powers weren't working as they should.
Angel looked up at John with a sense of gratitude and relief. She could see the concentration etched on his face, and she knew that he was still focused on maintaining the protective barrier.
Angel and Dark Blood exchanged a glance, both of them realizing that they were facing a far more formidable foe than they had anticipated.
Asaga's focus shifted from Angel to the one who had blocked his attack, the teacher who had been monitoring him for months. With a fierce scream, Asaga charged at John, his sword pointed straight at him. But the principal was unfazed, confident in his abilities and knowledge of Asaga's fighting style and skills.
"Come on! You won't stand a chance," he taunted.
In a sudden burst of movement, two black lines appeared on John's right arm, causing the principal to panic:
“Shit! I forgot he has [Death Cross]!”
Before he could react, the lines sliced through his arm, tearing it in half. The pain was immediate and overwhelming, causing his senses to lose their function temporarily.
Angel hurried over to the principal. She summoned medical plants to wrap the wound to prevent it from bleeding.
“Thank you, Angel! That makes me feel so much better.” John tried to talk while biting his teeth.

Asaga had seized the opportunity, taking advantage of the two fallen targets to unleash his full power. He focused all his energy on his four wings and flapped them down with all his might, creating a thunderous sound that reverberated throughout the area. In an instant, he disappeared, seemingly teleported to another location. The demon inside him revelled in the excitement of hunting down its prey.
But Dark Blood had a plan. It picked up a pebble and examined it at lightning-fast speed before tossing it to Asaga. The shot was precise, hitting him directly in the head and causing his orbit to deviate to the left.
In the end, the demon once again missed its target and crashed into a nearby tree.
“Angel! Go help Dark Blood. I will be fine.” The Principal said.
“But it still looks really bad!” Angel worried.
“Gahhhh!”
Asaga's frustration and anger boiled over as he let out a deafening roar that echoed through the cage. He grabbed the tree trunk and ripped it apart with his bare hands, releasing a torrent of rage that fueled his desire to kill. With sword in hand, he swung wildly and mercilessly, slicing through the ground and creating a labyrinth of jagged, uneven terrain that made it difficult for anyone to move around.
“Go now! Or else, Asaga will lose his humanity forever! But do not hurt him.” John urged Angel.
Angel obeyed his instruction and grasped the hilt of her sabre. She lifted the weapon with a steady hand, raising it to her eye level, her gaze fixed on Asaga, who was still wildly flailing his sword. The tip of her blade was pointed directly at him, like a marksman zeroing in on their target. With a deep breath, she closed one eye, focusing all of her attention on the task at hand.
Several beams of light began to emanate from the blade of her sabre, converging into a small, sparkling orb. The light grew in intensity, dazzling and almost blinding in its brilliance. The ball of light crackled with raw energy, and it was clear that whatever Angel was preparing was going to be a powerful attack.
Dark Blood picked up everything on the ground and then threw them at Asaga to buy time for Angel.
“You better hurry, Angel!”
“That’s all I need- Asaga!”
Hearing someone call him, the demon stopped the blade storm and turned to her. Angel shot a beam of light from Golden Roses, and it went straight at his face. It caused the victim to temporarily lose vision.
His hands flailed around, rubbing his eyes restlessly, trying to dispel the white light that obscured his vision.
"My eyes!" he cried out.
Meanwhile, Dark Blood took charge of carrying the injured principal to safety. It reminded Angel:
“Remember, this is not a fight! Try to save his light side as soon as possible, but in a non-violent way. It all depends on you!”
Her blinding skill was usually potent enough to take up to six hours for the victim to regain their vision fully, but the devil's resistance was so strong that the white coating his sight faded away after just a minute. As she faced an ancient species from legend, Angel put all her concentration and focus into the task at hand. She was the only one who could stop him from destroying everything.
“Asaga! I'm here!”
With the devil's attention now on her, Angel shouted to draw him closer. She knew that she had to keep him distracted while Dark Blood and the principal got to safety. The demon, still disoriented from the lack of vision, staggered in her direction. Angel remained calm and composed as she waited for him to come within range.
Asaga charged towards Angel, his sword raised high above his head, ready to strike. Angel quickly assessed the situation, calculating her best move. She could block the attack with Golden Roses, but something told her that wasn't the right decision. Instead, she made a split-second decision and leapt to one side, narrowly avoiding the incoming blade. Asaga's sword hit the ground with a deafening clang, causing a short but powerful earthquake.
Undeterred, the devil launched his attack again. This time, Angel stood her ground and raised her weapon, ready to defend herself. But she didn't rely solely on her defensive technique. Asaga's attack force pushed her back, but instead of staying put, Angel retreated backward, quickly extending the distance between them. She needed to create some space to come up with a better plan to take a win.
With a movement, Asaga made his way to the edge of the dark barrier, standing by the wall that separated the battlefield from the outside world. Angel watched him in confusion, wondering why he had retreated so far away. Her thoughts were quickly interrupted by a sudden weight that she felt in the air.
Looking up, Angel saw that the clouds had grown darker and more menacing, swirling ominously above their heads.
The wind picked up, blowing fiercely and making it difficult for Angel to maintain her footing. Lightning crackled and thunder boomed, causing the ground to tremble beneath her feet. She could sense the power of the storm gathering around her opponent, making him even more formidable.
Asaga lifted his sword, pointing it at Angel. With a wicked grin, he began to chant a dark incantation, his voice echoing through the howling wind.
"Doom has come to this world."
Angel felt a heavy sensation in the air as the blood on his blade began to darken, and the sword transformed into a towering pillar of blood, piercing through the roof of the barrier. The pillar was several dozen meters high, a stream of death that threatened to destroy the entire academy. Asaga had chosen to end the battle with one powerful attack.
[Slash of Apocalypse]
“For Asaga!”
As the deadly pillar of blood approached, Angel's body and weapon began to radiate with an intense golden light, increasing her magical power to an unprecedented level. It was as if the sun had descended from the sky to lend its power to the young girl.
However, even with her heightened abilities, the distance between her and Asaga was too great. Any attempt to counter the pillar would be futile, and it would inevitably end in her defeat.
But then, as the blade of blood was about to strike her down, Angel disappeared in a burst of motion. It was as if she had moved so quickly that she had vanished into thin air.
Asaga was stunned by Angel's sudden disappearance and reappeared right in front of him, her blade aimed at his throat with incredible speed. He realized that he would lose the fight if he just stood there and watched. In a split second, she forced him to erase the giant pillar to regain the sword, aiming to strike Angel before she could land a fatal blow.
A blinding flash of light erupted from the collision of their two powerful weapons. The impact sent shockwaves throughout the area, causing the ground to shake violently. The intense clash of their swords echoed throughout the academy, making it clear that this was not an ordinary battle.
The two fighters were locked in a fierce struggle, both refusing to give an inch. Asaga's strength was immense, but Angel's agility and technique were unmatched. Sparks flew as their weapons clashed again and again.
“What just happened?”
Dark Blood could not believe the scene in front of it. It was simply a collision between two swords. But it turned this field into a complete mess.
Cracks littered everywhere. There were very few trees that remained after the earthquake.
“Those twos power- Incredible!”
As time passed after that smack, Angel and Asaga kept maintaining that posture. The two of them did not have a single movement, not even a wink. Dark Blood was the same, waiting to see what would happen next. Suddenly, the principal’s voice rang out.
“Time to get my baby out!”
[The Hands of Hades]
A massive magic circle appeared behind him, taking up almost half of the battlefield. As he placed his hands in the circle, two sickles with a glowing purple chain connected them materialized in his grasp. John twirled the sickles around, getting ready to toss them at his targets.
The sickles flew through the air, striking both Asaga and Angel with brutal force. Blood coughed up from their mouths as they fell to the ground, slipping into a coma. Both warriors struggled to sit up, but Asaga was quicker to recover than Angel. He grasped his sword, raising it triumphantly towards the sky as if declaring his victory over his rival.
“Die, Angel- Ahh!!!”
Asaga's focus was shattered as a sharp pain erupted from his back. He twisted his body to locate the source and found a sickle embedded in his flesh. His eyes followed the chain attached to the hilt of the sickle, tracing it back to its owner. It was John, the academy's principal, who had thrown the weapon.
The devil attempted to pull the sickle out, but the pain was too much. Instead, he turned his attention to Angel, who was also recovering from the attack. Asaga wanted to end this fight, once and for all.
But before he could make another move, John tugged on the chain and pulled Asaga away from Angel. The principal's expression was stern and serious, his eyes fixed on Asaga. The devil tried to resist, but the sickle in his back made it difficult to move.
His attempts to resist it only drained him of more energy. Eventually, he could fight no longer, and his body went limp, falling to the ground with a thud.
“Phew! It’s over!” John breathed a sigh of relief.
Then, John looked on as Angel tended to the wounded Asaga, his eyes watching her every move. The devilish aura around Asaga began to dissipate, transforming him back to human form. The two combatants remained motionless on the ground, their bodies too weak to even stand.
Angel's tears of joy flowed freely down her face as she cradled Asaga's head in her lap. Memories long forgotten flooded back to her, images of a boy she had known when she was just a little girl. Overcome with emotion, she whispered incoherent words through her hands. Angel’s sobs shook her entire body.
“Asaga... I remember. I didn’t expect that you still..."
But then, suddenly, she remembered everything. Her heart swelled with gratitude and she cried out Asaga's name, pulling him tightly into a warm embrace. The moon shone brightly overhead, casting an otherworldly glow upon the scene. Even Dark Blood, ever the stoic observer, looked upon the pair with a sense of awe and wonder.
Asaga, still unconscious, lay peacefully in Angel's arms, the chaos of their battle long forgotten in this moment of reunion. For Angel, it felt as if a weight had been lifted from her heart, a heavy burden she hadn't even known she was carrying. She knew that, no matter what lay ahead, she would face it with renewed strength, knowing that she had someone she could always rely on by her side.
The bright moon, Dark Blood looked at it while saying.
“I think both you and I are wrong. This is the time. She has remembered it.”
“Yeah, sometimes, love has to be a little bitter but...”
“But what?” The dark soul turned to the principal.
John said nothing but just hugged his stomach tightly and then curled up, trembling because he had been fasting since noon.
"Fine! I will take you to the canteen."
John's stomach grumbled as he climbed onto Dark Blood's back, feeling a bit lightheaded from the exhaustion of the battle. Despite his hunger, he couldn't help but pause as he approached Asaga and Angel. The sight of the two sleeping together was a beautiful, peaceful view in the midst of chaos.
Feeling a sense of responsibility as the principal, John ordered Dark Blood to take Asaga and Angel to the infirmary to receive medical attention. He knew it was important to make sure his students were well taken care of, even if it meant sacrificing his own meal.
Once the two were safely taken care of, John made his way back to the ruined part of the academy to assess the damage caused by the battle with Asaga. He began to work tirelessly to repair the damage and restore the academy to its former glory. Only after the work was done did he finally allow himself to indulge in a worthy meal at the canteen.
