When Olin Von Shtrapen finally acquires his very own Soul card, he gains The Power of the Protagonist — an extraordinarily rare Soul card that grants him spells, abilities and narrative functions, that level up depending on the size of his growing readership. The Soul card’s innate narrative function transcribes the young lordling’s antics and happenings into the written word, where it is then spread throughout the galaxy in various languages, ready to be absorbed and shared with all sentient lifeforms. The problem, however, is that the Soul card's constant narrative voice is surely going to drive Olin mad. And not only that but the Soul card also appears to have a rather strong penchant for conflict, which means that becoming an adventurer is going to be much tougher than he'd first thought.
