Prologue

Thunder rumbled in the distance… and like a string that was pulled too far… the tension in the atmosphere released… and it began to rain…

Jordan looks up at the clouds, feeling the scattered water sprinkle on his face… it got heavier… and heavier…

Jordan looks down… his clothes were drenched…

“Shit…” He says…

Jordan throws away his wet cigarette, and heads inside…

Jordan gets out of the elevator, pulls out his key, and enters his apartment…

He passes by his kitchen table; a scattered assortment of objects… his tarot cards laid out, showing his daily reading…

He walks by his altar to Baphomet… and he lays on his bed… his clothes drenched…

Jordan begins to think of his daily reading… It was the Judgement card, the Hanged Man, and Death…

When he read it, he didn’t know how to process it… The shock was needless to say, and it foretold of a tribulation to come… It was likely very dangerous, and could lead to his end… as for whether he could overcome it, he didn’t exactly feel confident…

Through no will of his own, as his life progressed, Jordan was lead towards the life of a sorcerer…

There was no definite reason for it… Life simply happened that way… as it progressed, and as he reacted to the challenges in his life… day by day, he continued to grow…

Till he reached this stage… the sorcery that was available to him was vast, he was capable of many terrible things… and throughout it all, he has made many enemies… bad karma, and red string… both corporeal and incorporeal… ghosts, demons, and beasts…

Whenever Jordan thought about it, he could never blame himself… It all just happened that way…

As a child, he was very gifted, and quite blessed, considering all the worse places he could have been… He was given room to grow, and as a gifted child, his mind explored the world, examining and processing, what was around him…

As he grew older, a solid foundation was laid… and it was almost ideal…

Looking back on it, Jordan could only shake his head… Ideals… What a rookie mistake…

Unbeknownst to him, Jordan attracted the attention of the heavens above… and before he could figure out what was happening, he continued to pass trial after trial…

The heavens were satisfied with his progress…

But for Jordan… he didn’t understand what was happening… Why he faced such terrible questions daily… One wrong step, and he could seriously snap, and lose his mind…

There were so many terrible things one could think of… curses, locked rooms, the vast, endless void… these things waited at the corner… of each possible wrong answer…

Heaven and hell… angels and demons… It was a gamble… such great things, were deeply related, and one small thing, could decide whether one rose, or fell to the abyss…

Jordan was ignorant of where he was walking, but he continued to walk nonetheless… but deep down… he just wanted it all to stop… to be at peace, and to rest…

He tried all sorts of things, which eventually lead to sorcery, and… dark magic… He’s attempted dream walking… and even vampirism…

The result of this… was a wealth of bad karma… alas, Jordan could only laugh…

In a way, he was somewhat successful… He has found a modicum of peace…

Each day was stressful, but he was content…

But now, he may face something that he won’t be able to survive…
