Sona has no memories of her true parents. As an infant, she was found abandoned on the doorstep of an Ionian adoption house, nestled atop an ancient instrument in an exquisite case of unknown origins. She was an unusually well-behaved child, always quiet and content. Her caretakers were sure she would find a home quickly, but it soon became apparent that what they mistook for uncommon geniality was actually an inability to speak or to produce any sound whatsoever. Sona remained at the adoption house until her teens, watching in hopeless silence as prospective adopters passed her by. During this time, the caretakers sold her unusual instrument to anxious collectors, hoping to build her trust. For a myriad of bizarre and unexpected reasons, however, it would be returned, or simply appear again outside the house.
When a wealthy Demacian woman named Lestara Buvelle learned of the instrument, she immediately embarked to Ionia. When the caretakers showcased the instrument for her, she rose wordlessly and explored the house, stopping outside Sona's room. Without hesitation, Lestara adopted her and left a generous donation for the instrument. With Lestara's guidance, Sona discovered a deep connection with the instrument which Lestara called an 'etwahl'. In her hands, it played tones that stilled or quivered the hearts of those around her. Within months, she was headlining with the mysterious etwahl for sold-out audiences. She played as though plucking heartstrings, effortlessly manipulating the emotions of her listeners - all without a single written note. In secret, she discovered a potent and deadly use for her etwahl, using its vibrations to slice objects from a distance. She honed this discipline in private, mastering her gift, that she might be prepared should a fitting recital require the harmony of her talents.
"Her melody moves the soul, her silence sunders the body." - Jericho Swain, after attending her concert.
Throughout her journey, Sona has had countless experiences, has hunted mountain predators who threatened nations, and destroyed empires of emperors who coveted her because of her beautiful appearance and desirable body.
Sona had lived for thousands of years, but besides dedicating herself to music and playing etwahl, she never devoted herself to anything else with all her heart. She never lived true love, never had anyone to call her father or mother, the only family she had was Lestara, but Lestara did not live for millennia to accompany Sona, thus leaving the mute girl alone.
...
Sona had spent the last year locked up inside the palace itself to discover what was missing for her to be able to use etwahl with maximum efficiency and transcend the level of Goddess-Empress. Unfortunately for her, after a year locked alone in her palace on her private star, Sona finally understood that to reach the peak of the universe, she would have to experience true love in order to get the necessary emotion through her songs.
When Sona finally figured that out, she cried. She knew that she could no longer find true love after it became one of the strongest existences in the universe. With her present strength, Sona could easily destroy planets just by touching a single note of etwahl, the only men or women who could resist it had already achieved the rank of God-King and would already be in love with another God-King almost most of the time, already being married for thousands of years.

After crying for an entire night of frustration... Sona went out on her balcony to look at the stars. She didn't like much artificial lighting on her star at night so she could see the beautiful starry sky when she felt like it.
Suddenly, Sona felt an enormous amount of energy colliding somewhere in a nearby galaxy. Quickly becoming alert, Sona took etwahl and began conjuring up a second protective barrier to protect her star.
For what Sona felt of the energies traveling through the cosmos, probably someone would be fighting against Chronos, the only God-Emperor alive. It is worth mentioning that to be able to fight with a God-Emperor and release so much residual energy in the nearby galaxies, his strength had to be at least at the initial God-Emperor level.
After erecting the barrier around the star, Sona began playing etwahl to amplify her vision to try to visualize the battle.
Due to the enormous amount of residual energy traveling through the vacuum between the galaxies, her visualization was severely impaired, but Sona did not give up and kept insisting.
When she finally managed to visualize the battle, she saw someone that she had deep hatred. Aatrox, the God-King of War. This God-King had no limits, apparently, he was just a small cultivator when he found a cursed Decay blade and could not control it like Lynch, the Shadow Assassin, who had also found a Decay weapon but managed to control it and use it to become a God-King.
In battle, from what Sona felt, Aatrox was still at the God-King level, but apparently, he was gaining an advantage over Chronos despite the immeasurable difference in strength. Seeing that, she couldn't help but raise her eyebrows in amazement. Even if she hated him for what he had already done to her, she couldn't help but praise him mentally for the dexterity he was showing in battle.
After a few days watching the battle, Sona already believed that unfortunately, Aatrox would win. But to her surprise, Chronos took his staff and broke it. His staff, which had been regarded as one of the strongest weapons in the universe, when broken destroyed everything that was around sending energy from space-time in all directions.
Whether luck or bad luck, the only being who was watching the battle at that moment in the entire universe, the one who could be the second living God-Emperor, was Sona. The space-time energy that was one of the most abstract and difficult to manipulate energies passed through the channel that Sona had opened with her own energy and killed her.

Hmm... That hurt... Sona thought while subconsciously caressing her head. But to her surprise, the hair she felt was short, hard and dry. Different from the normal hair she had, with two long blue silky ponytails that stretched all the way to her feet.
When Sona opened her eyes, the place she saw was completely different from the palace she lived in. It was a small house, with very few furniture, all old and worn out. She looked around and saw that she was lying on a bed with a wet towel on her head. When she saw a picture frame on the side of the bed, her head began to hurt and an unbearable amount of memories and information began to flood her head, causing the Goddess of music to faint.
In the picture frame, there was a photo of a teenager with a thin face and short blue hair hugging a seemingly very malnourished pregnant woman, who also had blue hair with a huge smile on her face.
