Awaken from his nightmare , Arasage Kidou was sweating and some tears fell down his cheek . But instantly he wipes it off and get off his bed ,ready for school

'The same old routine ha'

Getting out of the house , he could see his neighbour smile at him while shooting water from his palm

"Morning "( Neighbor )

It's normal to see water shooting from his palm , nothing abnormal since everyone in this world is gifted with an Ability

Giving the neighbor a simple nod, he was going to lock the door but a sound coming out from his house

'What was that '

Hearing the noise he quickly get inside the house and one more time hearing a louder sound from his room

' Don't tell me , it's a beast'

Running as fast as he could he rushed to his room ,open it finding an exhausted girl laying on the floor with a grey wolf corpse next to her

"Dont come in yet .It's dangerous "( Girl )

"Who are you ?"( Kidou )

" D-rank, Saya Sumeragi. Is that enough information you need ?"(Sumeragi)

"Ah okay, wait wait ,why are you breaking into my room"( Kidou )

As mention before ,in this world ,people are gifted with special Abilities , anyone who have the guts for it could register themselves as a Warrior to execute beast and they all started at rank G-1 ,the lowest grade and work their way up . And in every rank there is a 100 limit cap , meaning that by breaking through that gap they will advance to the next rank

"Well to kill this D-rank Wolf of course "(Sumeragi)

"What about the holes up there "(Kidou)

"Don't worry , the maintainment will come to fix it "( Sumeragi )

After saying that , Saya jump up and while making another hole in the room , get out of the house and get on the main road

' How destructive'

Sighing , Kidou wait until the maintainment arrive then head off to school , a school specializing in nurturing potential Warriors , Sawagakaoka high school to study his first year of high school .

Getting into the class , taking his seat , hearing a greeting

" Kidou is as usual today "( Girl )

The person greeted him was Mizu Kasen , a girl which he had known since childhood . With that looks of her , she can easily captivate a boy's heart , but instead of being arrogance or selfish , she always helps other out from studying to even helping them confront monsters

" Of course , how can I go to school feeling gloomy "(Mizu)

Chatting to Mizi , Kidou can feel the deadly glare given to him by his classmate . That's only normal , talking to her was a guy who said to be Attributeless and not having an Abilty . Simply unforgivable , that maybe what his friend thinking right now . But if anyone interfere the speech , they will make Mizu upset and that's not they want , so they just rather stay out feeling jealous towards Kidou

Kidou and Mizu keep on chatting until the teacher come in

"Well class , we seem to have a guest today . Come now in , introduce yourself "( Teacher )

Coming into Kidou class was a good-looking girl with her hair tied up into a pony tail .

' She seems familliar , wasn't she the one early this morning '

"Ah yes , nice to meet you all . I am Saya Sumeragi , I'll be your classmate from now on "(Sumeragi)

Hearing her introduction , all the boys in the class cannot help but getting excited .

" Sumeragi , why did you transfer to the school today , haven't the school started 2 months ago right "( Student)

" Well , since my old school doesn't have anyone my level , I decided to come here "( Sumeragi)

" I am currently in D-rank now , more precisely Rank D-20 "(Sumeragi)

After hearing her rank , the whole class went silent . What kind of magic was it ? All of the student who came here all aim for the Rank of D after graduation ,and the highest that a normal person could reach is only C rank . And the student with the highest rank in the school is the student president who has just reach C-rank and right before their eyes was a person of the same age who are far more superior to them. While they were clearing their thoughts their teacher just silently show the whole class her rank . The class once more back in silence .

Hearing her introduction Kidou couldn't help but sigh heavily . She was only a D rank and they are that surprise . Haven't they seen anyone with higher rank .

'What strength if it is not mean to protect'

Kidou was taught that , the hard way .

Hearing Sumeragi's rank Mizu did gasp a little and then face Kidou talking to him quietly

"She is amazing , but I personally think you are better"( Mizu)

" Eh , haha "(Kidou)

Smiling wryly , Kidou thought of what happened several years ago . That time they face a monster which was later a D-rank one, while Mizu was too scared to even move , Kidou was brave enough to confront it and eventually beating it which later gave Mizu the impression of Kidou being overly strong

" I didn't think you would remember it Mizu , it was quite a long time right "( Kidou)

" How can I forget the your bravery at that time right ?"(Mizu)

Giving him a smile , Mizu quickly turn her face around .

' Why is her face red . It doesn't matter right , Mizu wouldn't tell anyone about that at least '

After her introduction, Sumeragi somehow got pointed to the empty seat next to him and was seated there . Taking her seat , Sumeragi greeted Kidou and quickly prepare herself for class. Soon , it was time for afternoon training .Due to the school being a Warrior nurturing place . Only classes take place in the morning .

In the afternoon, there are special training that help students strengthen themselves . Apart from Kidou , who was sitting while fidgeting with his hand , everybody else join the training

" Woah , he sat out again . I told you that he is only rubbish " ( Classmate )

" Don't be so harsh , it maybe that he does not has an Ability , that's all"(Classmate)

" I wonder why Mizu-san always stick to him , may be he's from a well off family "(Classmate)

Hearing their gossip can't help but sigh

'I really do not like being looked at like this'

Sighing to himself while counting how many time he sighed already . Kidou sat boredly until the lesson over but Sumeragi walked towards him and talked to him with a commanding tone .

"Why are you sitting here ? Shouldn't you be practicing like everyone else"( Sumeragi)

"Well I don't feel like it at all"(Kidou)

"What does that supposed to mean"( Sumeragi)

" I mean just like you think , I don't feel like doing it "( Kidou)

" Wha-"

Replying to Sumeragi , he stood up and left ,leaving her a dumfounded expression .

And about Sumeragi ,since she was born , she had already possessed scary talents , so everyone held her with respect. Kidou was the first person to ignore and didn't give her any face .

'He dared to ignore me huh'

Looking at Kidou , she smirked and gave out a little laugh

'Let's see how someone like you can handle it ?'(Sumeragi)

"Heh , about that girl . I don't think there's any problem except for her arrogance "( Kidou )

" She was being arrogant ? How can I not see that "(Mizu)

"Probably since she is all modest and stuff . She is only arrogant because she has never experienced failure before I think"(Kidou)

"Heh Kidou is sharp as always "(Mizu)

"By the way aren't you feeling uncomfortable walking home with me , well about hearing mockeries and bad , offensive things "(Kidou)

"Why should I feel unconfortable with you ."(Mizu)

"Because I don't have any Ability or Attribute "(Kidou)

"Lying "(Mizu)

" Huh"(Kidou)

"I know you're lying Kidou . You do have an Abilty and an Attribute as well" (Kidou)

Talking about Attributes , it is the same as Ability since everyone was given them at birth . There are a total of 8 Attribute : Fire , Water , Thunder ,Nature ,Wind , Light ,Darkness and Demonic . The rarity of Attributes begins from Fire as most common to Darkness being so rare that only 1 people have it until now .There have never been any cases of anyone having the Demonic Attribute can survive long enough since most of them died at the age of 1 . There are also cases of Dual , people having 2 Attribute , but most of the time the two Attributes are the common one , still there are some cases like Sumeragi who held Wind and Light Attribute which are insanely rare .

Smiling at Mizu ,Kidou answered lightly

"Yeah , you are right , nothing I lie can past you huh "(Kidou)

"Of course , for someone who know you since you know how to walk , I know you better than anyone -- careful Kidou something approaching "( Mizu)

Warning Kidou ,Mizu slowly step up pull out her 2 D-rank kodachi ' Dual Element ' and get into her stance .

' A E-rank monster , Alpac Wolf huh '

For normal people seeing an E-rank monster means doomday for them but not for Mizu . She is already a E-96 rank Warrior who will be approaching D-rank soon so this monster is nothing dangerous . In fact , it seems bothersome for her to fight against it

"Like I'm afraid of you ! ' Water Needle ' "(Mizu)

There are skills in this world which makes it more like an RPG game than the real world . Each person can only use skill according to the Attribute you held so Dual like Mizu could freely uses skill which has Water or Wind Attribute and you can only uses skills through weapons .

The weapon itself is nothing more than a mean to use the skill so there is no difference in any of the weapon except for one's liking or the increase in power of the skill according to the Attribute that your weapon have

In just a few seconds , a rain of water needles flies toward the wolf , finishing its life in a blink of an eye

"Done , it was unlucky for him to encounter me,if it anybody else it would live a bit longer"(Mizu)

"Although I've known you from childhood, it is still impressive to see you fluently control your skills "(Kidou)

"S-stop it please , I don't want anyone especially you telling me that "(Mizu)

"Hey , there won't be anyone at your house today right ? It would be time consuming for you to cook, s-so if you don't mind you can eat with my family tonight ,only if you don't mind okay"(Mizu)

After having dinner with Mizu's family , Kidou make his way back home , leaving Mizu and her parents behind .

" It's already 5 years huh "(Father)

" Ah , his mother's death huh , it was very brutal indeed "( Mother)

While hearing her parent conversation , Mizu couldn't stop but get interested .Didn't Kidou said that they divorced leaving him and his siblings behind ?

" Um Dad , I thought Kidou's parent divorced "( Mizu)

"Where did you heard that , did Kidou tell you"( Mother)

"Yeah , so?"(Mizu)

" His parents didn't divorced ,in fact his mother was killed by an extremely high rank monster , after his mother death , his father was so depressed that he suicide , leaving him with his siblings , poor kid "(Father)

" What , it really happened , why he didn't tell me , I know him since forever right "(Mizu)

" Maybe he just trying to make you not worrying about him , after all , only you see him differently "(Mother)
