Some Random Babble
da Da Da da Daaaaa

da Da Da da Daaaaa

Harita went outside to find his sister, hoping to the obsidian lion that she hadn’t gotten herself into trouble.

No roads existed in their town Brash Kahr. Just sand between the buildings. It solidified with a bit of focus on his end under his feet. Eventually, he found his sister Lamana eating a Haucshin Treat; essentially an apple-like fruit that was translucent and looked like it was made of crystal.

He decided to ignore the fact he knew damn well she had no money on her and those things could only be found in one of the four markets.

Lamana in tow, they decided to spend the day having fun. 🤩

They found some other children and a crocodile by a few buildings and spent the day playing games with them. Jumping on roofs and playing on the trees that sprouted out of the rooftops. Making sure to bedazzle and mischievously prank the floating masks and other strange creatures that lived between the branches.

In the day’s end, the young boy walked the two of them into the little home they had in their western portion of the city. He put out some food for the two, and they ate. Harita sat down and sighed on the roof of his home, one that had no tree sprouting from it, and looked up at the pale moon.

He remembered suddenly the face of his mother, and after closing his eyes could feel her softly stroking his face as they laid together on a sofa. He silently prayed for her and his father’s safety. With a click of his golden tongue, the young man put on his turban and decided to go for an evening stroll.

Suddenly, he heard voices coming from a nearby alley. Before he could simply pass it by, he felt something slip into his body.

He hissed from the uncomfortable feeling, but he knew what had happened; he’d been possessed. Perhaps by some fairy or nefarious ghost. Either way against his will he snuck closer to the two voices and hide behind a building, not even seeing the two speakers, as he heard a business deal go through.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

“Stole it-“

Ah. So that’s why I was possessed.

“-from a random mist-forged Mahatma. Her cultivation was…er…I think she was a warrior of some kind? That or Deathly Wayfarer. Anyway, she wasn’t looking and I snatched this.”

“Thank you very much, and this, is for you.”

Harita heard the exchange of coin, and from the scent, he could get a guess at what was being traded; some kind of mirror…or, crystal…? His senses couldn’t quite-A nascent Jeduicoi. 4 days from birth.

….

….

Thank you.

My pleasure.

Will you give me-

No, I will not give you back control over your body.

Harita clicked his tongue. That much, he managed. After the exchange was done, he by forces outside his control followed the thief, not the man with The Jeducoi. He breathed in softly and silently as he eluded the perception of the thief, and figured out where she was headed. Managing to outpace her and sneak into her home before she arrived. He gave the place a good once-over, and then was properly hidden underneath her couch when she entered. He could feel the ghost stirring inside of him. He realized he was not the target, this here was. It wanted to possess her.

Not hard to understand why when he asked.

Her potential is quite high. An arboreal basin is hidden inside her phantasmagoria. With it, I can cultivate to become a mighty force. Do not worry, as you can see from our connection, I have nothing to gain from harming you. Even if examined, no one could reveal the fact that I was currently possessing someone with the facilities in this town. Beyond that, not only do you gain nothing from revealing me, but…

An image of his sister appeared in his mind. He clicked his tongue.

As soon as she was sitting on the couch, the ghost struck. Immediately leaving Harita’s body and floating up intangibly into the girl above. She began to struggle. Apparently, she was better fit to resist the ghost’s abilities than he. He simply left. Bolted out of the home and ran towards his own. He gave a prayer to the young girl, hoping she would be free of that creatures hold in time.

Deciding that was enough adventure for one day, Harita left down a corridor in the middle of the night, and accidentally bumped into something.

He made to run away further, but was caught by the collar and lifted up into an unfamiliar face. A particularly beautiful lady wearing heavy ceremonial attire. Four horns sprouted from her head, and a scythe laid at her hip. Before she could say anything, Harita held up a hand.

“Ms, I apologize for bumping into you, but I’m afraid I have prior business to take care of.”

The dark of night obscured some of her features, but he was sure he could pick out the faintest hints of some kind of tattoo or other decoration on her.

Whatever her nature, she apparently did not like his answer. She raised a finger and tapped him on the head.

“Boy. In eight years time, we will meet again. Then, I will take from you in return for this slight. Go. Sleep.”

That night, Harita cuddled up tightly to his sister in bed, and contemplated what had happened.

The next morning, a scarf, mask, and floating disk-like object appeared beside their bed. With a stone with the name Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto written on it, next to it.
