Somewhere in a fortress of heavy concentration of ominous shadows and towering bastion of darkness. The fabric of reality shatters into place as Envy breaks into a throne room. He takes one good stretch, “Ahhh… Good to be back—” Then he staggers as a rapier pierces through his skull with absolute force and violence.
"What happened to Busan!?"
Envy nonchalantly stands with a sword in his eye and replies, "Patience, Wrath, I just want to kill someone, but an Archangel intervened not one but two actually. They’re still one hell of a problem, I tell you that," Envy explains the events that unfolded. He also mentioned the part where he made up a story with his name just to fool his victims.
Bursting a nerve, "Hurensohn! All of that for a thirst to kill?!" Clenching tight on his fist with a deadly gaze at Envy, he summons another sword and swings it at Envy aiming for the other eye.
But Envy effortlessly stops the raging rapier with only two of his fingers, then he breaks a smirk, "Since when you started using rapiers, I thought you like the zweihänder, the big one?" As he pulls the other sword out of his blood-spilling eye, "Oh, I remember now, last time you used that kind of sword, you almost died." he chuckles.
"Release" mana starts to materialize into Wrath's hand forming his broken zweihänder, "It’s either you’re blind or stupid, Lord Astaroth--" Wrath hitting the ceiling with a shout and anger suddenly interrupted by the man on the throne.
"Enough! I don’t acknowledge such a name. Wrath, control yourself. Do not ever say that name…" The man on the throne said.
Wrath dematerializes his heavy blade and extends his palm to retrieve his rapier from Envy.
"If your victim isn't significant to them, you won't have seen and encountered an Archangel, such warriors don’t have the time to waste for a random pair," the man on the throne said to Envy.
"Yes, my Sovereign, in fact, one of my targets is a Low Mana Concentration and yet he can perform dark magic with ease," Envy said as he healed his eye.
"Perhaps one of the reasons an Archangel is present there is because the Low Mana Concentration boy might be one of the Divine Vessels. Give me proof, then I will deal with him… personally," With sheer authority, as he reigns on his throne even the shadows tremble below his feet, he commands, “Envy, do what’s needed to be done, now go!”
"Yes, my Sovereign." Envy kneels to the man on the throne in respect as he is immediately on his way to fulfil his master’s bidding.
....
Concluding the burial of Cloud’s passed-away mother, now lying in her final resting place. His heart cries out, being separated from his protector, home, and world.
Yunika finds Cloud at his lowest point, sobbing on the ground. Then Cloud asks her with tears flooding down to his cheeks, "Why did it need to end like this?"
“It’s not your fault,” Yunika said.
“She was my everything,”
And she pulls him closer towards her heart, “It’s not your fault, don’t blame yourself…” Yunika said as Cloud poured his heart out, tears of regret, hatred, and vengeance, are spilt on the ground.
Michael who’s been looking for them, “There you are, I’ve been looking for you two—oh…” Then he was shushed by Yunika.
Then he approaches Cloud and pats him on the shoulder, "It's okay my friend, life is full of suffering and loss, but there’s also hope and a new beginning, crying all day will not do any good to you," Michael said to Cloud.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
Letting go of such grief and loss is easier said the done, not so different to a man keeping his grasp on a vine of thorns.
"Come on, you have a plane to catch. Hayan is already in the airport waiting" Michael said to the two.
"You're not coming?" Yunika asks Michael.
"I have to return to Europe, the European Division needs my presence there," Michael responds.
"You're not gonna tell us what to do when we arrive there?" Cloud said to Michael.
"No, find Raphael," Michael steps back and snaps his fingers, luminescent runes materialize and surround him. The runes glow up and revolve around him at a fast rate, charging up to warp the physical body for teleporting.
"So, he left us here, huh? I don't even know where we are right now. Even though he's a so-called Archangel as he calls himself, he's still an asshole," Cloud expresses his annoyance. As he throws a tantrum, badmouthing Michael using any possible cuss he knows, Yunika gives a glimmering smile at Cloud.
"What? Something funny?" Cloud asks.
"Nothing… " She snickers.
"Then stop laughing,”
“Why? I’m not even saying anything, I’m just laughing…” Then she throws a pile of grass at him while shouting “You mad! You mad!” She rushes away from the taunted Cloud as he begins to chase her with piles of grass prepared to throw back at her.
“Stop running, I just want you tell you something, Yunika!”
“That doesn’t work on me, stop chasing me…” she continues to laugh at him, without looking ahead, she trips on her feet falling face first on the ground.
Cloud hastily catches up, “Hey! Are you okay?” he asks as he checks on her for any bruises or wounds.
Rather than in pain or any agony, she is giggling and enjoying every second they have together. "Jeez, I’m not dead, Cloud," crying from laughter. They lay down with the soothing gales of wind whistles to them. “I missed being a kid,” Cloud said.
“Ahemm… For both of you, that’s extremely cute.” Michael said after he watched the two.
Cloud gives him the finger, "I thought you left, you piece of shit!"
"Do have any idea on how to leave Eden, hmm?" Michael asks.
"No..."
Michael chuckles. he snaps his fingers again, and glowing runes appear on both Yunika and Cloud. Magical runes lit up luminously as mana surged from the runes, the only thing they saw was light. Their physical bodies dissolve into glowing energy as they warp to travel, as the two open their eyes, they are in Gimhae International Airport.
Then Cloud turns, "Michael? MICHAEL!! you son of a bitch—oh he's gone..."
While Yunika right away strolls around as if she is looking for someone. From the crowded departure gate, a well-sophisticated man walks up to them.
"Cloud, Yunika let's go," he said to the two.
"I'm sorry, who are you?" Cloud asks.
"Oh, my apologies I'm—"
"Oh, there you are, Hayan,” Yunika said.
"Yes, Hayan. Did you not recognize me, Cloud? I was at the funeral of your mother, with Yunika. Let’s save the introductions, the plane is leaving hurry!"
As soon as the plane took off, the three got some quiet rest. Hayan is sleeping quietly and proper, while the two are having a snoring contest, as loud as they can. Sleeping on each other. The two were snoring so loud their neighbouring passengers couldn’t have their sleep, some of them even tried to talk to the flight attendants to quiet it down but it was no help, they just couldn't be bothered to wake up, they were heavy sleepers at the finest.
3 hours and 35 minutes of flight.
"Sir? Sir, we have landed," said by a flight attendant to Cloud while trying to wake them up.
“Hmm? What? Are we there yet?” Cloud asks.
"The Philippines, sir we have arrived, we're here for almost an hour now, and all passengers left. We tried to wake you up but you sir and your company are heavy sleepers to wake up,"
Cloud reaches out his hand to Hayan to wake him up, poking his ear "Hey, we're here!" he said.
"Huh? Wha- What? Oh shi—you’re right!" Hayan hastily picks up his luggage to leave the plane.
Then they leave with a carried embarrassment from the plane and its crew. "My goodness! I realized that we don't even have any luggage with us, my clothes!!" Yunika said to Cloud.
Cloud also in realization, "I DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY!!"
And Hayan casually says "I got it covered," as if money is not even a concern to him.
"You will?" Asks the two.
"We need to focus right now and find Asia I Radiant Division here in the Philippines, so let's push aside that small thing.”
