CHAPTER 4

### CHAPTER 4

As the first rays of morning sunlight caressed the baby's delicate skin, our protagonist slowly woke from his slumber. This time, opening his eyes felt slightly less laborious than before. As he gazed at the vast, beautiful sky above, a thought crossed his mind. "I managed to survive the first night in another world..." Suddenly, a memory surged forth, filling him with a flicker of excitement.

"Yes, now that I am in another world... where is my cheat... my system???" His small, beautiful eyes glowed with hope and anticipation. He concentrated with all his might, sincerely calling out for the cheat or system. But after an hour of hopeful effort, he was met only with silence. The gentle sound of the wind extinguished his last hope of being a main character, carrying away his dreams like leaves in a breeze.

With nothing else to do and barely able to move, he simply stared at the sky, lost in various thoughts...

### Five Years Later

Our protagonist, now five years old, stood near a cliff, gazing at the vast forest that stretched out below him. His journey from infancy to this point was marked by small milestones. At one year old, he could finally sit up, getting his first clear view of his surroundings. Lush green grass and scattered trees created a picturesque scene. As he explored by crawling around, he discovered a barrier of sorts about 20 meters from his location at the center. "It seems I could bypass it," he thought while touching the invisible wall.

From an outsider's perspective, it would appear as if a child was touching thin air. Indeed, nothing was visible from outside the barrier—neither the barrier itself nor the child within it. As he grew older, he spent countless hours staring at his surroundings and the sky, his mind filled with endless thoughts.

Now a five-year-old boy, he had no idea what his own face looked like. The barrier protected him from rain, snow, and the heat of summer. He watched wild creatures from within the barrier, ranging from small animals to humongous beasts. Once, he saw a dragon resting near the barrier. The large dragon seemed unaware of his presence and left after a while.

"I miss Mom and my brother..." he sniffled, tears welling up as he thought of his family. "I wonder how they are doing..." Despite the uncertainty, he vowed to himself, "If I ever get the chance to see them again, I will."

"Now that I can run and I've turned five, I need to know more about my surroundings," he mumbled. "I don't know how long this barrier will hold, so it's better to learn about this place." He glanced toward the forest ahead, anxiety and determination swirling within him. He didn't know what he might encounter or what lay ahead, but he knew he had to try. He decided to explore up to 1 km from his location, planning to return swiftly if needed. "Tomorrow, I'll start," he resolved, and then lay down on the grass, soon falling asleep under the beautiful, starry night sky.
