Prologue: Mythos Under the Stars
Once, in a time before time, there were two ancient deities: an angel of light and a dragon of dark. In the primordial blackness of The Abyss, both gods had nothing to do but speak to one another.
They would speak about constant nothings and everythings, an endless drabble of words understood by none but them, for it is only them that exists and it is only their words that they would exchange with each other.
One day though, the angel and the dragon had a disagreement, and this disagreement turned into an argument, and this argument turned into battle.
The angel drew their blade of light while the dragon bore their fangs of dark, and so the war between light and dark began. And in their fight begins the birth of the universe.
When the dragon breaths their fiery breaths; from the embers and ashes come the cosmos.
When the blade of the angel clashed with the scales of the dragon; from the debris came forth the worlds beyond, giving birth to planets.

And when finally the gods inevitably slew each other, their match forever undecided, their corpses fell through the cosmos and eventually transformed into something special.
Through these great deities’ deaths springs forth a new land, a world sealed and isolated away from the rest of the cosmos, Lipuria.
And from their holy blood came forth beasts, monsters, and men, all sharing in the fragmented powers of their late lords, however latent.
But one aspect of the fallen gods rises above the rest in power: their souls.
Their souls had transformed into fragmented stones: soul stones. And from these stones one may unlock the latent magics hidden within their own souls, or even enhance one’s already unlocked abilities.
But among these stones there stands two most special stones, two most desirable stones. These special stones uphold the majority of the past gods’ power, and it is rumored that whoever holds these stones would become a god themselves.
These special stones, whose power is so great that great wars were fought over them, are known as The Guide of Heaven and The Ire of Hell. A stone of endless creation and a stone of endless destruction.
Ultimately, these wars for the Great Soul Stones accumulated, and eventually culminated into the great war known as the Stalemate War, where in the end, every kingdom collectively agreed that both stones are too dangerous, and must be sealed far, far away. And so they did.
Both stones have been sealed in a secret chamber and guarded by a number of unbreakable magics. Routinely checked, every kingdom’s goal is that eventually, all kingdoms would forget to check on the stones one day, and never check it again.
These dangerous artifacts, left to rot and be forgotten till the end of days.
