So I'm a skeleton now [LitRPG]
Chapter 1.5 : “The beginning of transformation and the call of the unknown

Chapter 1.5 : “The beginning of transformation and the call of the unknown

After I shot down the red-necked bat, I felt the euphoria of victory flowing through my veins.

But soon I was interrupted by that sweet feminine tone that echoed in my head again, saying:

Notice: The risk has been successfully eliminated. The random reward will now be offered.

"Yes, what's the reward?" I thought out loud

-10 experience bonus points were awarded

-The unique skill Extraordinary Class “Magic Perception” has been granted.

“Integrated successfully”

This skill allows you to detect your surroundings at a great distance and read mana in the atmosphere with the ability to predict.

-Granted the unique skill Rare “Malevolent Spirit”

“Error in the merge process”

“The reason is that the host’s body is not currently suitable.”

«Skill saved successfully»

I stood frozen in place, absorbing the amount of information I had received.

I looked around, trying to comprehend what was happening.

However, I couldn't focus on any of those details because of that message I heard in my head about those unique skills he mentioned earlier.

Also, I heard that it was given to me. Does that mean it could really benefit me?

More importantly, what is that voice in my mind? Up to this point, I've heard it twice, and the tone has always been similar to the voice of a grown woman. Could I be cursed?

So I tried to communicate with the voice, hoping to understand what it was.

“Hey, please, is there someone here or am I mistaken?” I said. But as I expected, no response came.

-Notification: The area has been scanned 100 meters away from you. “Result”: There is no one near you. The situation is safe

My heart jumped.

what the hell? How could this happen without warning? Did he do something sinister? I don't want to think that there is something living inside my skull, especially after I turned into a skeleton.

After careful thought, I decided to ask him again: “Who are you?” As I expected, I did not hear any response from him or even a single word.

Then an idea occurred to me: Why don't I ask him about the reward I was given? It is true that the reward was not something tangible, but curiosity got the better of me.

So I asked him my question: “Those experience points, tell me, what are they and what do they do?”

Fortunately, the voice responded this time: “Notice: The experience points you have been given are 10 experience points valid to be distributed among all your special skills.”

Unauthorized usage: this tale is on Amazon without the author's consent. Report any sightings.

I felt some relief to learn more about those points. I looked around again, trying to comprehend what these skills could do.

“So how can I benefit from it? Are there certain conditions or something similar?” I asked him more to see how deeply I could understand him.

-Notice- An answer is being created

-You can benefit from experience points by distributing them among special skill points such as strength, defense, stamina, and so on

I thought logically: Does this mean that the distribution of points to my other skills is adjusted in the same way as increasing points through training? But the difference here is that there is no need for exercise or anything similar.

At this moment, the voice intervened as if reading my thoughts without my special

permission and replied:

- Notice - Answering:

Yes, experience points increase your skill level without having to practice or anything, but you can also increase them by continuing to train and improve over time.

After hearing his response, I am now convinced that these points will help me improve my level quickly, but it seems that I may get more once I achieve some of the tasks required by that voice.

"How can I distribute these points to my skills?" I asked the voice how to distribute, and he quickly answered in his voice, which I was starting to get used to.

- NOTICE - You can distribute it to the following two options:

1. Voluntary distribution.

2. Automatic distribution.

I was a little surprised by the two options on offer, so I took my time to consider the options.

I understood that the first option let me choose how to distribute my points to all skills in my own way, while the second option made me curious because I didn't quite understand what "automatically distribute" meant, so I repeated the word out loud in my thoughts without paying attention.

- Notice - Automatic distribution of points is underway:

1. 2. 3. Distribution completed successfully.

This was a little surprising, because I don't remember when I allowed it to be distributed, so I hurriedly used the mana meter ring on my left finger and looked at the current points and was surprised.

The scale panel now appears

- Strengths- 8

-Defense points- 8

-Flexibility points- 9

-Health points- 14

-Mana Points- 24

The moment I saw the new numbers on the gauge panel, I felt a mixture of relief and frustration. Some points increased satisfactorily, especially Strength and Defense points, while Resilience, Health and Mana points changed little.

Although, this increase was small, but it still gave me a little bit of hope.

“At least there is progress,” I said to myself as I prepared to continue my journey.

I took a deep breath before moving towards my destination, taking one last look at the carcass of the huge red-necked bat. It was plastered on the wall with shards of ice that had pierced it, as if they were symbols of death commemorating his final moments.

Blood dripped onto the floor, slowly creeping onto my shoes, forming in my thoughts a dramatic scene embodying the consequences of the confrontation. This bat was truly powerful, even its species was classified as a two silver star threat. Eliminating a bat of this type was not easy; A warrior or knight who uses melee weapons needs to be of the highest B+ or C+ class, while a magician needs to be of a B+ or B+ class to confront one of them.

I laughed a little at my luck in encountering an adult male red-necked bat, which I had survived thanks to deep, serious wounds from a previous fight.

It is likely that these wounds were the result of his clash with another male of the same species.

During mating seasons, red-necked bats battle to demonstrate their dominance in front of the females, with the strong male facing off against another from the same species to win a mate.

This bat seemed to have lost its fights this mating season, but somehow it survived until I met it at rest. He decided to attack me, but unfortunately for him, he was in a desperate state while I was confronting him.

It's been half an hour since I left the bat's corpse behind me in the third-floor corridors.

During those moments, I felt radical changes in my body. Although I am now a skeleton, I feel like I have become an enhanced skeleton, with new abilities and skills that I cannot ignore, the most important of which is magical perception.

This skill gave me confidence in every step I took, enabling me to read the surroundings using very little mana. The sense of traps and monsters lurking in the dark became as precise as an eagle's eye, making moving in this dark place much easier, despite my limited perceptual range.

Finally, I exited safely from the third floor corridors, to find myself on the second floor of the vestibule.

The view was bright, as if I had entered another world, with luminous crystals decorating the ceilings of the high walls, emitting a bright light that mimicked the burning sunlight.

The second floor resembles an interwoven cave, in which the roots of huge trees intersect from above, forming natural bridges that look like relics from a long time ago.

Layers of green moss grew on their surfaces, and the fresh wind blew strongly, lifting my robe into the air, and carrying with it the scent of moss and rare herbs that grow only in the depths of this vestibule. “Unfortunately, I can't smell the flowers and herbs now.”

My condition as a skeleton has made me lose my sense of smell and sense of touch, as well as the ability to speak.

The entire time I was awake, I noticed that I was unable to express myself with a voice, which made me talk to myself silently, through my thoughts. This was annoying, but I have to adapt to it until I find a treatment that removes this curse, even though it is very sad.

The whole time I was walking I was really wondering if there really was a cure for this curse.

Because it seemed very stressful that I did not have a single piece of flesh to cover my envy, let alone the internal organs. Even my male organ had truly disappeared. I began to feel like I resembled warrior skeletons.

This monster, which has no special awareness, is only interested in killing adventurers inside the caves of the fourth floor, the “absolute expanse,” with its cracked and corroded weapons.

I thought for a second that this form I was in was a rift between the skeletal monsters, or this is what the idea started out as, but in both cases the thinking was useless.

I walked quietly for a while because it is difficult to walk on a ground full of bumps and sharp curves, which made walking almost difficult.

As I continued walking, I felt this strange feeling that made all parts of my bones stand on their own.

As I thought, I felt using magical perception that there was a group of Mana monsters in front of me. It seemed to be a group of Goblins.
