I slowly slithered around the dirt covered forest floor. Looking for food, I used my thermal eyesight to look for any living organisms. Suddenly a heat signal passed on the edge of my peripheral vision. Stealthily slithering behind a bush, I slowly watch the heat signal go around gathering plants. I couldn't really see how this human like creature looked. Since I had thermal vision but I did notice they had elongated ears. Odd, I thought. Ignoring the weird creature I slither off.

I don't bother to interact with this creature for many reasons. Mostly due to the fact that I can't. Plus would you even be willing to speak to a talking reptile.

I continue on my way, intently searching for my prey.  Deep in my vision a large red figure lies in the meadow. I glance at the figure before sighing. Another foe which is impossible to defeat. For as long as I been reborn, I could only defeat mice. Yeah... sad right. Can't blame me though. Being reborn a snake your skills are limited. With no hands.

Suddenly, I hear a small animal a few feet away. Yeah, snakes can hear. Apparently the jaw is directly linked to my inner ear allowing me to pick up surface vibration. Pretty cool, but I'm still not really used to it.

Slowly slithering up to the rabbit using my thermal vision, I try to diminish my presence. Its sort of imagining yourself blending in with surrounding. Become one with grass or something like that. Stalking my prey like a serial killer picking his next victim. I manage to reach it without it even noticing. Since blending in isn't difficult when you have natural green skin and guess what colour the grass is.....Green!

Yeah dry humour is my cup of tea. Watching the rabbit it seems to be munching on some type of grass. I guess it would be cute if I had normal vision I thought. Snapping out of it, I harden myself. Feeling every inch of my body which probably amounts to nothing more than a couple.

I explosively leap towards the rabbit. It's eyes widen, when I snap my fangs tightly onto his throat. For some reason a strange liquid secrets from them. The rabbit spasms a bit trying to run away but collapses a few feet away from where it was. Suddenly an odd ringing sound echoes in my head and an almost clear window appears.

Lesser Venom. Learned.

I was a bit puzzled for a minute. But then slowly I was able to read it. Odd, I thought. Does this mean I can become stronger. After while of thinking I give up, being snake brained means one thing. Find food, kill, and then eat for all your worth. Probably a small exotic snakeskin purse..... but oh well.

Slithering along the forest floor, the sun soon starts to set. Which means my hunting periods are finishing. As a cold blooded individual I only hunt in the day since I receive direct sunlight. But in the night.....its too cold.

Using predominately my sixth sense. Which I assume I have, since I have yet to have any luck. I find a nice cave, but the thing is. Its located behind some bushes so its a perfect hiding and resting place.

I slither through the bush, and enter the cave its surprisingly warm but dark. Not like I can't see though. I leave,  biting off some branches and grass from the area. I return to my cave and start to furnish it. After all I'm a specialist in home decor. Just kidding...I'm using it just in case a predator actually finds the cave. In that case, I can use the grass to blend in and leave unnoticed.

Settling down, I coil my tail around my body. So I'm shaped in a sort of spiral form. I try to close my eye lids but then it dawns on me that snakes.....don't have eyelids. Surprisingly though I'm still able to sleep. Closing my imaginary eyelids, I try to catch some sleep. My mind eventually turn into darkness. I can't dream so I just think. How I can improve my current situation of being an unknown snake in an unknown world.

Yeah....I'm positive this is a different world. For one, theres that window that popped up. Then theres odd looking animals in the forest I saw. Speaking of the devil, I hear some animal near my cave. Slithering out of the cave the bright sunlight shines on my green scales.

Ooh, I thought. It was morning already, time must be different when I'm sleeping I thought..or not. Blending in with green grass. The odd ringing once more ringed in my head.

Lesser blend. Learned

Lesser sense. Learned.

Ooh...I thought. So I do have a sixth sense. Happily chatting with myself in my mind. I enter a log not too far away. Waiting I turn to look at the....prey that came too me. My fork tongue sticking to taste the air, which is of grass. Suddenly faint lines appear in my vision and that odd yet disturbing ringing sound.

Lesser track. Learned.

Oh shut up, I mentally say. Before reading the window, still a bit annoyed at the ringing. My fork tongues darts out again. Why didn't I receive this before I thought.

Until I realise I've been acting like a human! I'm not a human anymore I thought solemnly. To survive in the wild, I must let my morals go . Then I let a small thin smile creep onto my face.  At least I can become stronger I thought. This is probably only the worse version of all my abilities. To improve them I must constantly use them, I mentally shout. Adopting this as my new way of life in this foreign land.

Coming back to the present, I keep on slithering in or between patches of grass. Following a faint green line I finally arrive. Seeing a heat signal far away. I notice an odd rabbit but this one has a small horn atop its head. It's eyes are bloody red as well. Feeling nothing I let my instincts take over. Blending in with the surroundings I let my blend ability activate. My skin previously green turns into a shade even closer to grass.

Setting my targets, I realise one of two things. One the rabbit is much bigger than I thought. Second, there are too many. There's probably like 6, I thought not the least bit dishearten. After all......herbivores won't fight back I hissed confidently......

Author's note - Need some help with the evolution. Should I allow him to evolve 2 or three times before allowing him a snake man route. Or should I just let him keep evolving and then give him some form manipulation power. Not directly though. Thanks for reading.  Hope you can point out my mistakes. If not, its okay.
