"Have a nice day at school Liliam" my mom told me as I grabbed my bag from the floor and jacket from behind the door.
"See ya later, mom" I told her and before she could say anything further, especially about taking care when closing doors, smashed the door to our apartment and slid down the handrails next to the stairs with multiple stops at each curve as I am not yet good enough to slide all the way down. I tried and burns from actually managing a few floors on my ass or falling off the rails made it not so worth it. Still cool tho. Stairs are for normies.
As I reached the bottom floor I opened the door and as this one has a good survival instinct it closed by itself. I qzickly crossed our garden and went on my way to Ivy High.
With such a name you might think that it would be a prestigious school? But the reality of the situation is that it's just a very general, but rundown highschool. Focus on the word rundown.
I stopped at the streetlights glowing red and when no car came quickly ran across. I live in a small city called Shenton. Yeah, no idea where that name comes from. Probably the city's founder or something.
I see Mr. Johnson waving to me across the street. I wave back and the whole exchange ruined my mood as he owns a restaurant my dad previously worked at, even if Mr. Johnson is not at fault.
After walking for a few more minutes through the neighborhood I arrive at Ivy High. Kinda neat to live so close to school, no transport needed. I wouldn't have the money for it anyways.
Now you might think that I m the kinda girl that says hello to everybody or that someone would greet me, high-five me or something along those lines when I cross the entrance to the school building. No, i m just a normal girl and quickly made my way to classroom 9a on the bottom floor and after a quick general G'mornin to anybody in earshot, I went to my seat, heaved it up, smashed it at a bullies head and jumped out of the window. No, i just sit down instead like a good girl. I m not like Johnny who actually threw one before. He probably didn't get kicked out of school yet because nobody was hurt and there was no real damage. He has good aim, though I had no idea what he had aimed at, nor what he was actually aiming for.
My seat is located on the second row on the right side. I was next to the wall and therefore only have one neighbour. Of which the seat was currently empty.
My class has twenty students. Easy to remember. Also our teachers are probably very satisfied at not having classes with thirty to fourty students like the high schools in big cities. Well...Johnny probably makes up for those numbers.
Anyways I grab my headphones and phone out of the pockets on my jeans. Fuck skirts. I quickly fix the mess they got in during my walk, plug them in my phone and ears, start my relaxing music playlist and quickly fall asleep. Onward to SMW, or Super Magical World as I call it.

She found herself in a small classroom. "Huh, usually I end up in a clearing, in the middle of a fight or questionable conversation" she thought as she took in her surroundings. Strangely nobody was around and she was completely alone. No tutorial or guide today it seems. Empty tables and chairs. A blackboard with no writing on it and generally everything was eerily empty.
She slowly stood up from the same position she was in her classroom in normie world and went up to the teachers desk. She quickly looked through the drawers by janking them out and even checked beneath the desk to see if there was anything, but now unsurprisingly, there was nothing. No weapon, magical items or any other shenanigans you would expect to find in a small enclosed space.
She took a look at the large windows of the classroom for the first time in her dreamy state and realized that there was nothing but smoke out there.
"Well, this is kinda new." she spoke aloud and her voice caused a loud echo that kept repeating itself.
She quickly decided that she doesn't want to become deaf and ran out of the classroom. The door strangely absent.
She found herself in a long and entirely white corridor. At the end of it there was a way to the right.
'Well, here goes nothing' she thought as she started running for some reason. There was no sound or echo of her steps.

She reached the end of the hallway and turned right, the path switched sides. She didn't notice as the dream seemed to more and more mess with her senses.
The new hallway was once more just white everywhere with a turn to the left at the end of it this time. She continued running and repeatedly took turns at the end of each hallway.
She finally arrived in a hallway with large wooden double doors at the end. Her field of view by now only encompassed these doors.
She felt elated and once more ran to the doors only to fail to open them. They were locked or something was blocking them. She felt deep fear and turned around only to see some form of smoke. Nothing but white smoke. She screamed without sound and the smoke engulfed her.
*boom*
Her body shot upwards and she almost fell out of her chair. There was some laughter around her. The classroom was now full.
"Emma the dreamer is back in the world of living" somebody cackled from behind her. This person she deemed to ignore as usual. She herself was still breathing heavily after abruptly waking up from some random sound in the classroom. Somebody must have dropped their heavy bag or something.
"Hey, the class will start soon. You really shouldn't miss this one. The teacher is probably also almost there, you know she doesn't like students sleeping" Emma the nerdy all A's student that appeared next to her like a Ninja while she was asleep went back to reading her book after taking her hand off her shoulder. Apparently she was also shaken in the physical sense.
'What a wild ride, worse than any horror move' she thought as she placed her hand on her forehead and slowly came to grips with reality.
"Good morning, students" Ms. Shelby walked into the classroom in her way too professional outfit, went to the desk at the front and promptly started the lecture.
'I need to tell Joey about this later' she thought as she took out her writing utensils and started noting everything that happened down in her dreamer diary.
Because who doesn't aspire to become a real dreamer? Hopefully she would wake up with something cool worth big bucks at some point.

It was time for school to end. Students started packing up even though the last teacher of the day wasn't ready to end the class yet.
The bell rang and most people ran to the door. Some even squeezing with each other as the doorway wasn't particularly wide.
"Students, I end the class and not the bell!" the new male teacher tried, but nobody felt the need to listen, just like in class.
'After all, it's not their fault his class is the most boring one in existence. And I know for a fact that history can be exciting' she thought as she remembered her old history teacher Mrs. James with her engaging lessons. Of course that was before said teacher dreamed up some weird artefact, sold it to the Dreamers Association and quit her job.
After the classroom was reasonably empty she stood up, wished her teacher a good day and went home. The path back to the apartment complex was characteristically unexciting and boring.
She opened the doors once more and this time had to take all the stairs instead of a slide adevnture.
"Here I am, once again climbing up the stairs to Olymp" she went up, but she stopped one floor below her apartment and rang the doorbell on one of the two doors on the floor.
A middle-aged woman opened the door after a short while. "Oh Lily, Joey isn't here yet. Today's Wednesday he still has club" she was told and also very confused as Joey had told her that there was no club this week.
She quickly gathered her wits and apologized to Mrs. Anderson, arranged for her to tell Joey to come up when he arrives and bid her goodbye. The door closed and turned to go up the stairs to the floor of her home.
"Excuse me" a female teen almost smashed into her, but she was quick enough to dodge. Fortunately in the right direction, which in this case was left.
The teen quickly continued on, down the stairs.
"Lisa!" Lily called, but the girl just waved backwards and continued rushing.
"Ugh" she went up the stairs to her home while thinking about irresponsible thirteen year olds and consequently ignored her own method of railriding.
"Mom, I m home" she told her mother as she closed the door, put the doorkeys in the pockets of her jeans and hung her jacket at the clothes rack behind the door.
Obviously nobody was home yet with it being 12:30 and a week day. School always stopped at lunch on Wednesdays after all.
To her chagrin she kinda forgot as it was still a new school year and therefore a different schedule.
She went into the small kitchen, which was the doorway to the left of the small hall.
She made some food any self-respecting teen-almost adult would make, which means obviously putting a pizza in the oven. She set the timer and took it with her to the living room.
"Pizza, Pizza, Pizza" she grinned and took a seat on the couch in the living room. Lily put the timer on the small table in front of her, grabbed the remote from it as well and switched on the TV.
"Today on Wilmoorstreet there was another accident. Somebody woke up with an artefact in their car and it was identified as a pipe that apparently causes the wielder to become enraged. Fortunately the citizen was quickly stopped from doing anything truly dangerous and the item was taken into custody of the Dreamers Association. The value will be determined and paid out to the citizen as it is too dangerous to leave in the hands of the public. We have our local dreamer Ms. Aerosmith to thank for the quick response. Do you have some words for us?" it showed a news anchor standing next to a blonde girl with a green mask and a purple spandex suit.
'If I got superpowers, I would never wear spandex' Lily thought as the whole living room abruptly and soundlessly exploded into white smoke.
"Aaaaaah, Help! Help" she did the only rational thing in her mind. Which was standing up, going to the window of the living room and opening it, to let the smoke out.
Unfortunately the window was already open and she didn't deem it safe to close it. After all, there was no fire and she didn't want to be locked into an apartment full of weird instant smoke and possibly without air.
She also noticed that she could still breathe and that in her previous screams the smoke should have entered her body. There was no feeling of discomfort or choking.
She needed to leave the apartment asap as she had no clue what was happening and that this possibly could be some Dreamer being up to shenanigans.
"Shit" she cursed as her foot accidentally hit the table. After that she slowly managed to leave the living room, enter the hallway and finally found the door out of the apartment. It only took a few minutes.
She grew hysterical as the door wouldn't open and she was fairly sure. Okay, eighty percent sure that she didn't lock it from the inside. So she promptly took out her keys and tried to blindly unlock the door. Try as she might, it wouldn't open.
"Why can't the smoke just go away. Or leave through the window!" she stompted her foot and slowly turned around as the smoke began to disappear around her. She follow it's trail moving back to the living room and saw that it actually was doing as wished.
She took a deep breath and jumped forward to shut the window to not give it any chance to come back.
"What. The. Hell." she hoaraed out as she fell backwards onto the couch, looked at the more than slightly displaced table and stared blankly at the ceiling.
The timer broke her out of her stupor. The pineapple pizza was great.
