Her last memory was of a woman smiling at her and then there was nothing but blinding light. When she woke up her first response was to try to figure out where she was and what was going on but within moments her thoughts were replaced by fear as she stared down to the endless sky. She stumbled backwards and ended up sitting on her butt before starting to breath heavily. She wasn't sure how long it took for her to regain her calm but once she did she managed to stand up again before trying to take in her surroundings.
The view was breathtaking. There were islands floating around with clouds looking like giant sheeps. The thought itself caused a small smile to appear on her face. Slowly gaining her bearings she dusted herself off before starting to check what she assumed to be another island on the sky. She felt like the thought of being on an island floating above clouds felt like it should be odd but for some reason she felt like this was the way thing should work. She saw grass extending for at least a kilometer before reaching a mountain and then there was nothing. Having no clue about what to do she decided to head towards the mountain for the moment.
Along the way was a short river. She could easily walk around it but she decided to wash her face for a bit. She was still a bit shocked by all this development so splashing her face with water would probably help. As she approached the water she glanced at her reflection on it. She had a soft face with blue eyes and her silky black hair hung from the back of her head but the image that should look extremely familiar looked foreign for some reason. She decided to postpone the issue for now. Finding out where she was and what was going on was the priority.
As she got closer to the mountain she noticed a cave entrance that was illuminated by blue light. Unsure of what to do she slowly went inside the cave. Being honest with herself it was rather creepy being bathed in blue light and a part of her wanted to leave this cave but she had no other leads about where she was and what she was supposed to do. With every step the intensity of the light increased and after walking 30 feet she was met with a blinding torrent of blue light. Slowly the light decreased and she saw a girl hugging her knees gently floating within some sort of blue crystal.
The girl had wings that was semitransparent coming out of her back with blonde hair tied into a ponytail hanging from the back of her head and she looked almost celestial within the crystal despite the fact that she was wearing clothes that looked like they belonged to a farmer. Despite her look however it felt like everything was how it was supposed to be rather than being abnormal. except for one thing. The girls face felt more familiar than her own. She silently stared at the girl for a few seconds before slowly moving to touch the crystal almost by instinct. When she did the crystal started to glow like a sun and for a second the thought that the crystal had become happy from her touch appeared on her mind while she pulled away and covered her face instinctively. When she could open her eyes once more she saw the girl standing before her smiling at her before saying: "Welcome aboard partner."
She was confused to say the least but as she looked at her smiling face all of the questions she had in her mind melted away as she said: “Nice to be on board." before smiling. After a brief silence she looked at the crystal behind the girl. She then said: “So what are we supposed to do exactly?" She had immediately agreed to being on board but she had no clue regarding what they had to do. This caused the girl to giggle and say: “Touch the crystal and it will show you pretty much everything you need to do." which she responded with a nod before touching the crystal.
As soon as she touched it a screen appeared in front of her eyes with three options. 'Recruit, Build, Use’. The options were colored blue and the screens vaguely reminded her of something but she couldn't exactly remember what. Regardless of what this screen reminded of her she had no clue about what to press. After staring at the three options blankly for a few seconds she looked at the blonde girl and said: "It just gave me three options. What am I supposed to do?" which she responded by a shrug. With a sigh she turned back to the screen and pressed the recruit button to see what was going to happen and in the next second a 2-foot-tall creature with a mushroom shaped hat appeared next to the crystal. Intrigued she pressed the build button and the screen changed into three different options. 'Well, House, Field' Each of the buildings had timers next to them describing how long they would take. At first, she was tempted to press the field as it took the least amount of time but she decided that the creature she just 'recruited' would need a house and the house seemed to take just a few minutes as well so there was no harm that would be done. She pressed the house button and she was met with a warning message saying 'insufficient resources.' Deciding to try the field option she pressed it and the creature started to walk out of the cave. Deciding to follow it she went out of the cave and saw a plow appear in the creature's hand out of thin air and it started to plow the land.

She watched it for a few seconds before being bored and turning around only to headbutt her new companion. Falling on her butt she rubbed her forehead while saying: “Sorry." which her companion responded by smiling and saying: “Don’t worry about it. I told you that you would figure it out as soon as you touch the crystal. Anyway, that will probably take a while. Want to explore a bit while your little gnome does his thing?" So, it was called a gnome. That was good to know. After a brief silence she said: “Can’t we help him. I mean it will probably be hard for it to make a field all by himself." which her companion responded by saying: “Don’t worry. He will be done within a few minutes and then we can have it plant something we can eat. Speaking of which I am starting to get hungry. Unless you want me to take a bite out of you then you better get me some food soon?" in a teasing manner before giggling.
While they were chatting the gnome seemed to have finished making a small field and it was currently walking back into the cave. Her companion said: “You should probably give him another mission. It is never a good thing to let your gnomes idle. Also, as I said before I am getting rather hungry." and with that they followed behind the gnome. The gnome started to stare at the walls as soon as it reached the crystal and she touched the crystal once more to give the gnome orders. After a brief consideration she pressed the use button and a single option was presented to her called 'Field 1' Pressing that button there were several plantations options each with set times. Some of them were tree types while others were crops. The one with the shortest amount of time was strawberries so she chose that and immediately the gnome started walking towards the field.
Following behind the gnome once more it saw seeds appear in its hands and it started to scatter them around the field. If everything was going to appear magically like this then her life was probably going to be really easy. This time being careful she slowly turned around and said: “In a few minutes we will have strawberries. I hope you like them. Otherwise there were other options as well and I can have the gnome plant them." talking like she was already used to it. There was also a small blush on her face feeling like she had to impress this girl for reasons unknown to her. Perhaps her blush was noticed or perhaps what she had said had been considered funny but her companion giggled and said: “I like strawberries. Plus, they are ideal for picnics. Now we just need to harvest cotton. Have more gnomes and have them build a workshop before having them make a picnic blanket. Shouldn't be too hard considering your talent for controlling gnomes and building things."
As they were talking the gnome walked past them carrying four strawberries in its arms. For some reason she had expected a magical strawberry pile but at this speed she could easily harvest enough strawberries to sustain herself but before she could take the strawberries from the gnome they disappeared. A bit flustered she quickly made her way to the crystal and touched it and saw there was a fourth option called 'Take Out' added to the list and when she pressed it an inventory screen with 'StrawberryX4' written on it appeared. When she pressed it four strawberries appeared in her hand and she smiled to herself before turning around and saying: “Here you go." to her companion with a big smile on her face.
After they were done eating their strawberries she made the gnome go harvest more strawberries before turning to her companion and said: “So I guess we are going to idle a bit until we actually manage to farm enough food to satisfy us. By the way I think you never told me your name? By the way my name is..." As she prepared to say her name she realized the fact that she didn't remember it. After an awkward silence her companion finally broke the silence and said: “Well I don't have a name but you can pick a name for me and I’ll pick a name for you. That way it will be fair." and she couldn't help but smile in response while the gnome brought a second batch of strawberries in the background.
After thinking for a bit, she said: “Give me some time to think. I don't want to just pick a random name for you." which her companion responded with a nod before saying: “By the way your gnome is done with the strawberries so you better send it to collect some more?" which she responded with a nod before touching the crystal and sending the gnome to harvest more strawberries. She then got the four strawberries out of the crystal and said:" Here you go" smiling once more feeling like a child who had just harvested berries for her mother.
Her companion smiled in response taking the strawberries and after eating it she said: “Well I’m full now so once the harvest is done maybe we should start growing wood in order to be able to make some lodgings for your gnomes." which she responded with a nod. She then said: “I wonder if we can get gnomes to build a house for me?" Well her intent was to have a house for herself and her companion. Despite having just met she felt a connection to her. Like they were destined to be friends and family to each other.
