"We have to retreat," Victor insisted. "We can't keep this up, we're not going to win like this."

Jack refused to listen, his bloodlust clouding his judgment. He continued to fire upon the enemy

Victor knew he had to act fast. This isn't the way he want to win, winning a battle and losing the war

He isn't planning to take out the Gaia confederation only to become one himself

"Cyia" Victor called out

"Already on it" immediately jack lost control over the mecha and the voice of the mecha system confirmed that

Jack eyes turned cold, a snarl on his face. "What are you doing?" he demanded. "You're betraying us!

Victor didn't reply, he is angry at the moment and is trying to calm down, especially with cyia reminding him not to lose it

There was nothing Jack could do to stop it. He could only watch in horror as the Annihilator seized fire, turned and began to march away from the battlefield, leaving him behind.

As the Annihilator disappeared into the distance, Jack sank to his knees, his head in his hands. "What have I done?" he whispered, his voice filled with regret. He had let his anger and thirst for vengeance get the better of him, and now it had cost him everything.

The one chance he got to create a better world for himself and those he had been leading has just gone down the drain

Seeing the confusion on the faces of his comrade instead of celebration made it obvious he had fucked up big time

But there was nothing they could do to stop Victor or the mecha from leaving, all they could do is wait for jack explanation

The mood they saw their new leader alpha isn't one they can spat nonsense to, not at this moment atleast
