Friday, 7th of March
Dear Manny,
We have a new project for history class and as soon as I saw what it'd be about, I nearly turned side-ways to tell you that it would be a piece of cake until I remembered that you were absent today.

You didn't come to school and you certainly didn't walk into class fashionably late like always.
You didn't sit with me at lunch and tell your silly jokes that always manage to make me smile. You didn't come. I still have hope that you'll sneak into my bedroom window like you always do on a Friday night.
It's tradition and I'll do what I've done every other Friday -
I'll wait for you...
Sincerely,
Alyson Summers.
