the gaurd in front village's entrance screamed.

“Stay there or I will command my mens to release the arrows”

A bunch of archers readied their arrows from above the guard tower.

Their eyes were on us, Alex had taken out his sword but considering the number of enemies, it's impossible to take them heads on.

“return from where you came, and we will leave you unharmed!!” The person who have been giving the orders was probably the commander of the soldiers.

“We are not here to fight” Alex's voice reflected just how vary he was of the situation.

I wonder if that's because of any past experiences.

But even if he have experience with this, I have a better way to get through this hindrance.

“Alex,let m-”

“No, belladonna stay behind” him cutting me in my speach was rare, I haven't seen him act like this till now.

'Why?'

He was just his usual self before we stumbled upon this village, I thought that after walking for so long in the grasslands it would be the best to fill ourselves on the information about our locations that we lack, in this village.

However,unexpected anomalies occur exactly when expected the least.

That aside the situation in hand will only get worse with time, so I guess it's better for me to use my commands.

Riding a black horse was an heavily armored lady, with only her lower region of the face revealed.

Each of the soldiers bowed down in front of her.

She pointed her sword in our direction.

Her tone, clearly shows her high status unlike the soldiers we have to be more careful with her.

Alex walked to her, sliding his sword back into its place.

If it's about talking then unlike me he can possibly get on her good side, we might even be able to get necessary information from her, but for now getting out of this situation comes first.

Judging from the situation they know each other, then what about his death, does she don't know about that?

I heard a piercing sound, and with that the sword of the woman named lilium flew away.

I didn't catched what happened but the archers had readied their arrows once again.

She raised an hand stopping the archers.

“I thought you might be rusted by now but it seems that's not the case, hahaha... LEGACY! I GIVE YOU A WEEK DO WHATEVER YOU WANT BUT WHEN THE TIME IS OVER I'LL SEND MY MENS TO HUNT YOU DOWN!!”

saying that she left us, with the permission to enter.

The gaurds reluctantly opened the door of the wall that surrounded the village.

What greeted us were the curious gazes of the villager, they must have gathered after hearing the commotion.

As I started walking past them, Alex caught up to me.

I don't know, why we were treatwd like that by the gaurds but I can figure that out later.

“Alex, who was that woman?”

“Let's.. Let's not talk about that, okay”

“are you trying to say that I'm not worth telling?”

“Not at all, it's just that I don't want to remember much of my past”

“Why?”

To my question he gave no answer, so I gave up to push the matter any further.

“ah! I almost forgot to ask what are we going to do now?”

“I thought I told that to you”

“I might not have payed attention”

“Hey!, listen to others when they talk to you”

“You laughed?”

“No, not at all, beside you haven't answered my question”

Hearing me complain an apologetic expression took over his face.

“We will be resting at an inn for today, about tomorrow I will need to make plans to use our time efficiently”

“very well, but I have another question”

What are we gonna do now? Without money, how can we pay for the inn, food and other supplies?

“What are we gonna do then?”

“Aahhh, this is a serious problem. I didn't even thought of that” as soon as the words left his mouth, his eyes suddenly sparkled as if he remembered something.

“There's one way!, Wait for me here I'll be back”

With that said he left leaving me without giving me time to respond.

Now what was I supposed to do?

I sat on an wooden bench, close to where Alex told me to wait, if it were my past self I would never had even entered this place,however spending those two years in that small room, I learned when to prioritize pride and when to act according to the situation.

Beside, it was kinda fun being able to see the sun rays that I hated so much, hearing the annoying chirping of the birds. Sitting here on a wooden bench instead of my comfy bed.

I wonder if this is for the better

In Farner No one need to eat, no one gets sick after all we all were dead.

Now that I think of it's kind of ironic.

Once again a small smile took over my face.

After a while Alex came back with a small sack full pf money, I didn't troubled to ask him how he got it but that doesn't mean I won't.

Beside what can I do in a situation like this.

As I stood up to face Alex, my stomach growled loudly.

'Wwwaaaaahhh'

I held my stomach in embarrassment.

“Are you..hungry?” the smile on his face made the situation even more trouble for me.

“IDIOT!”

I walked past him, trying to hide my red face.

After walking a for sometime, we finally found an inn.

A wooden board with the name Dai's inn was hanging up its entrance.

The building was made entirely  of wood with lanterns hanging by its side, I'm not sure if they pay much attention to safety here.

But despite the fact that the building can catch fire any minute, an intense flower of mushrooms attracted me.

“Hey, Alex let's stay here” I got his attention by pinching on his clothes.

“Huh? This inn seems fine but are you sure, I mean will this place suit a princess like yourself?”

“I DON'T MIND AT ALL!”

“Oka.y, but may I ask why?”

“CAUSE THEY HAVE  MUSHROOMS!!*SPARKLING EYES*”
