'You know what, sometimes I hate being a leader' I thought 'When it comes to these guys' I looked back 'Normal is not in their dictionary, neither is impossible' I mused

As we walked toward the village, I noticed Charlie looking somewhere else. That is a sign I know isn't good "Charlie, don't you dare wander off." I demanded

When Charlie looks somewhere other than what he focuses on, sooner or later something will catch his interest and he will wander. Going to the thing that caught his interest and then find another thing will catch his interest. The process will repeat until he gets lost and we have to find him.

In short, childish curiosity in a grown up body. Would've been funny for bystanders but for friends and partners of the guy, a complete headache.

"Minor question." I heard Akira say "What if the town doesn't have a mayor or leader?" he asks. Starting to worry on something on his mind

"Then we disguise ourselves as travelers and asks for a room in an inn or a tavern." Arno shouted, not noticing how we can disguise ourselves as travelers with otherworldly clothing and weapons

"And how do you propose we do that!" Seung-Heon exclaimed.pointing out our weapons and our clothing isn't exactly fitting for this world

Charlie raised his hand up "I might have found cloaks on the way here and grabbed them" he said as he pulled out said cloaks

 "Perfect." Sav said, already wanting to try the cloaks, It isn't long before we got to a vantage

We were on top of a hill the overlooks the village, we spotted a church in the middle of the village, people going around doing their jobs and a stone wall surrounding the village with the local militia doing patrols on the wall

"Oh look an eagle" Charlie said as he pointed up, true enough there was an eagle circling around the hill for reasons unknown to me

"We should put on our cloaks now" I said. We put on our cloaks and we walked toward the gate

"We should look like assassins" Charlie said out of blue, making me and the other guys look at him with questioning looks

"Why?" we all questioned Charlie who just shrugged in response "I'm just saying, hunting down bandits with hoods that shadow your eyes sounds cool, especially if there is some corrupt people and they have heard about some hooded Grim Reaper coming to hunt them" he answered, already musing about the thought

"What makes you think there are bandits" Sav asked, Charlie gave him the a look that is saying 'Are you an Idiot'

"There stone walls around the village, on the walls there a bunch of medieval aged weapons" We all looked to the wall where Charlie was pointing at as he ranted "The guards on the wall have swords and other melee weapons, there are ballistae on walls and they are still using horse drawn carriages" He kept on ranting as he pointed to a horse-drawn carriage entering the village

 "It looks as if we are stuck in a medieval age and like that age, there HAVE to be bandits even if it's small groups, There have to be bandits" Charlie finished his rant as he looked to Sav, who just listened to his rant with annoyance, Charlie noticed it and smacked him in the head

"Think about it, if we knock every bandit we encounter unconscious then we can take their money and their stuff" Charlie suggested, his eyes becoming dollar signs as he kept on thinking about it " We could sell it, make a name for ourselves as merchants with mythic items that can help the populace and probably make a connection with the locals, become very rich in our world."

 As Charlie was ranting about his 'get rich' plan in this world we are already at the front of the gate. We entered the village with Charlie stopping his rant and following.

When we entered we were subjected to looks, most of them were suspicious, but we made it to what we think is an inn without much trouble. We rented two rooms and put our items in those rooms

If you wonder how we got money, let's just say we found a broken carriage on the way here from the Stryker and it held a bunch of coins

We divided the rooms randomly. Currently I'm stuck with Arno and Sav in room 1. The other group composed of Charlie, Akira and Seung-Heon, are the most chaotic when together. We decided to go to the other just to see what they were doing, and possibly stop what chaos they're causing.

Surprisingly, the room was extremely quiet, and there are no signs of damage, yet anyway.

Seung-Heon's just on the bed. Just reading something on his phone. Akira is over at their bags, rummaging through them and Charlie is at a desk, playing games on the laptop he brought.

"Hey guys." Me, Arno and Sav said, group 2 all stopped what they were doing and stared at us

"Hey" They responded, going back to their current activities.

"Are you guys up for more exploration?" I asked, they stopped and looked at me before leaving their current activities

"We got nothing to do anyway" Seung-Heon responded as he got up from the bed

"It's better than doing our current activities" Said Akira who found what he was looking for, a datapad he got from Charlie

"We can learn more about his place." Charlie said. Bringing out recording devices, a hidden camera included

So we went out of the tavern helmetless and split up. While I was wandering around the town to figure out the world we are in I remembered there was a church in town.

When I went to the church I saw the symbol of their religion. A protestant cross underneath a bigger cross whose ends look like they've bladed and wings sprouting from both sides of the crosses

 after asking some people about this. I found out the church was part of an organization called The Order of the Chief God. They are anti-monster organization dedicated to... well killing monsters, they preach that monsters are enemies of mankind. They are beings that corrupt and will lead to mankinds downfall.

My thought went back to the guy who was getting f***ed by a slime. I'm starting to wonder what kind of corruption they were talking about

I got dragged in to a mass and i have to practically hear the priest just preach about how the Chief God has created the world and that it's Humanity's duty to slay the monsters who were considered mistakes of the Chief God

It lasted for a hour. A whole hour of pretending to pray to a deity I don't even worship lest I get charged for heresy considering how fanatical these people are

So after the praying session I went back to the inn to see my friends. They were at a nearby table, I went there sat with them

"Have you guys found anything interesting?" I asked tiredly. The praying session I went through was headache inducing to non-followers of the religion

"Mate what's wrong, you look stressed?" Charlie asked, concerned about the fact I'm holding my head in pain and looked tired as hell

 "I was forced to join a praying session to a deity I don't even worship." I said. Causing Charlie to nod his head

"I see." He said "Have you found something about this religion." He asked

I told them about the religion that the village worships and my friends were laughing at what happened to me

"I hate you guys." I said annoyed that they were laughing at my pain

"Consider this payback for all the times you teased us about problems we shouldn't be in." Sav said as he drank down his tankard of what I assume to be ale

"Yeah all of us has something on each other." Charlie started with a mischievous  "Remember the time Arno was really sleepy when we went camping and he accidently went to a bear cave and slept on the bear." He said smiling

"Oh yeah, didn't he run out of the cave holding baby bears thinking they were stuffed toys." as Akira said that, Arno started to scratch the back his head in embarrassment while me and the rest laughed

"Yeah that wasn't a good memory for me." Arno said "What about the time we forced Seung-Heon to eat chocolate" He said but me and the others didn't get what he said

"What are you talking about." Seung-Heon asked "There was chili inside the chocolate." Arno said and the rest finally remembered and laughed, with the exception of Seung-Heon who shuddered at the memory

"Didn't he scream 'I'M NOT USED TO THIS LEVEL OF SPICE' while throwing the chocolate down and stomping it." Sav said as he chuckled

"Don't think you're exempted from this." Seung-Heon said angrily before he smirked "I remembered the time you made a bet with us about the absolute choice from that Noucome anime isn't that bad until we forced you to choose decisions." He said as everyone else but Sav laughed at that

"That was funny." I said between laughs "I mean, our classmates were confused as to why we keep writing paper and shown them to Sav." I said as I kept laughing

"Well what about-" I was about to say something about Charlie before everything went silent in the tavern. We looked to the door and saw what caused the silence

A man wearing regal clothing surrounded by guards came in, he has kept blonde hair and blue eyes. From the looks of everyone else in this room, I can tell he wasn't very well liked and my friends can tell the same

He looked toward everyone in the tavern, looking at us as if we were below him. His eyes held arrogance and an air of superiority practically oozed off the guy

That was when he spotted our table and walked towards it, his guards following him. He stopped in front of our table and looked at us with disgust before he turned to his guards.

"Get these Plebs off my table." He ordered them as the guards swiped our tankards and food off the table and pulled us away from it. The guy was practically smirking as he saw us get dragged away. We were practically on the floor by the end of it

There was one unspoken rule when it came to us. You mess with one of us, prepare for an attack on all sides. Oh and if you mess with us while we are having fun, prepare for very painful retribution. It also doesn't help when said people are practically physically superior to you in every way

I looked toward the others and I moved my head toward the guards. They nodded at my plan. So we all stood up and walked towards the guy who i assumed to be an important noble.

"Kill this rat." He ordered the guards as they went toward with their weapons at hand. There were 5 guards walking before Charlie just dashed past me tackled one of the guards, crashing both them toward a nearby table, whose occupants left, before Charlie started pummeling the guard

Two of the other guards tried to help their friend before he got stopped by Arno and Akira. Arno grabbed his victim's neck and lifted him up before throwing him toward the bar counter. when he the shelves there was loud crack resounded throughout the entire before Arno decided to go behind the bar make sure he isn't dead

The guard Akira was facing swung his sword overhead to hit Akira, who swiftly dodged, The guard tried to attack Akira in every direction only for him to dodge. In his final hope, he thrusted his sword toward Akira who grabbed the sword and crushed it, much to awe of onlookers and to the horror of the guard and the noble.

Akira gave a light punch, in trans-human standards, the guard coughed before receiving a very hard right hook to the face courtesy of Akira before he grabbed the guards head slammed it to the ground.

The two remaining guards decided to attack me. They charged at me only to be grabbed by Sav and Seung-Heon, the two looked at each other and smirked before throwing the guards towards each other. When their helmets made impact, we can hear the sound of cracking before the two dropped to the ground.

One of guards tried to reach for his weapon, only for his hand to be stomped on by Sav before he knocked the Guard out

"Useless guards!" I heard the noble shout before I grabbed him "You rat let go of me!" He shouted at me as he attempted to get out of my grip "You should apologize to us, and the others who have probably had enough of your attitude." I said in a cold tone, before the noble scoffed "You think I, Thomas of the fluent Chapelle family would listen to some pleb." He announced thinking I would probably back off because of his name, but it had no effect

I headbutted him, not strong enough to break bones but strong enough to leave a bruise. He screamed in pain before I looked him in the eye. My eyes are emotionless, only filled with an objective. To kick this guy out of here

"You are an asshole." I said simply " Don't ever bother anyone here again. Because if you do... well expect some damn resistance." I warned before gesturing to my friends to throw them out. They nodded and picked up the guards before all of us threw the noble and his guards out.

"I'LL HAVE YOU EXECUTED YOU FILTH!" the noble yelled at us. We shook our heads at his attempt to scare us. We went back inside just hear everyone cheering. I asked the bartender what did noble do. He told us he was constantly abusing the customers, From hitting the regulars for something that was insulting to him and jailing the people that tried to resist against him.

This is the main reason why I hate medieval worlds. There's just bound to be corruption only to be justified as 'It is their right' or some bullshit like that. We had our meals and drinks back for free considering we did them favor and the atmosphere in Tavern was very cheerful

When we finished our meals we went back to our respective rooms. We dressed up in our sleepwear before going to sleep, But I had to ask one last question from Arno and Sav

"Hey guys." I started "Yeah?" They responded "You think anything in this world is going to be normal?" I asked, they thought about before Sav gave me an answer

"Considering what we saw when we first stepped on this world, No." Sav answered with Arno nodding "All we can hope to do now is just hope it doesn't get worst." Sav before realizing he just invoked murphy "No wait I take that back." Sav tried to take back his words but it was already said

I sighed "I guess we should expect the worst tomorrow." I said to them as they nodded before all of us drifted off to sleep

Little did they know something will happen not only to them but the village they're staying in
