As Alex laid back in his chair, a still confused Liam jokingly said “Well that went as good as possible in my opinion.”
Alex looked at him with a funny smile and replied “Actually that went exactly how I imagined the meeting to go. I don't think anyone would oppose Ottowa so openly. We must keep searching for masters no matter how strong they are.” As Alex finished his sentence the doors swung open and in walked two men with black long sleeve shirts, red banadas, black combat pants and black combat boots.The conversations halted immediately and everyone sat straight up scared for their life. These men were two low level members of the Legion of Fire and yet their presence made everyone go still and put fear into everyone who was sitting in the bar. Alex and Liam immediately put their heads down and cessed all conversation. As the members walked by people were ducking their heads and trying their best to disappear. They eventually walked up to the bartender and both ordered a drink, the tension seemed to evaporate as the conversations returned but much quieter this time.
“Should we leave? I don't see how this can go well.” Liam stated
Alex took a quick look around and agreed with Liam “If we leave too fast they may get suspicious but I don't see any other way to get out of this without fighting.” They stood up and started to walk out while looking at the floor. They tried their best not to draw attention to themselves but it failed.
“Hey you two. Come over here.” said the taller, much thicker Legion member.
“Fuck me” Alex said under his breath as the duo started to head over to where the Legion members were sitting at the bar.
“Look who it is, Dr. Alex Barnes the renowned Master.” The tall member said, “ Known for his writings and research on Karyi. Yet he is in bars like this place? How far the mighty have fallen.” He jokingly remarked then broke out laughing with the other legion member who looked slightly less amused than his comrade.
“Yes I have hit some hard times but at least I don’t have to work in fear under a maniac that doesn't provide anyone for his citizens.” replied Alex almost standing taller to make himself look more imposing. After that statement was made you could hear a feather drop in the bar. It's basically unheard of to talk about Ottowa in that manner, especially in front of the Legion.
The Legion members stopped laughing and stood up very quickly and the older but smaller member threatened both Alex and Liam saying “I would watch how you talk about our Lord like that or you'll end up like the others who have opposed our Lord or the Legion.”
Alex lightly laughed, then replied in a very serious manner “You wouldn't even be able to hit me so I wouldn't be so confident but, I rather go home then fight with some lowlifes that just joined the Legion so they could push people around. So I'll see y'all around and next time if we weren't in a bar maybe then you guys could show us all how big and bad yall are.” Alex waived for Liam to come and laughed heavily while walking towards the doors.

With people around whispering quietly, most about how the Legion members just got bitched. The members exchanged a look and realized they couldn't let this disrespect slide. The temperature rose a few degrees giving an indicator of what's about to happen. As the members started collecting Karyi in their fist giving one a fiery crimson glow and the other a dark blue hue around his hands. Alex stopped in his path and slightly turned his head and amusedly remarked “Huh, what's this?”
The tension hit a palpable level with onlookers shaking in their boots sacred by what could be a devastating fight. The first move was made by the smaller older Legion member who quickly advanced in the blink of an eye putting all his Karyi into his right hand making the dark blue hue even darker. Alex reacted even faster, throwing Liam to the ground and easily jumped out of the way of the first attacker, who was shocked that he was so fast. Alex stood there smiling almost wanting this. The younger member clasped his hands together and pulled them away creating a line of flames. He jumped towards Alex who had his back turned to him advancing quicker than the first attacker seeing the speed that Alex posses. Alex thought to himself ‘I won't be able to kill them as then the Legion would be after me… What to do?’. He turned around faster than either attacker thought was possible even for a master and easily put Karyi in front of him and blocked his fire strike, grabbed his shirt under the attack and threw him across the room.
“I told yall I didn't really want to do this here,” he said seriously. The older member realized what could happen, stood up and thought about what choice he could make. The younger one, much more embarrassed, put all his energy into his hands creating a ball of fire, unnoticed by everyone. Liam stood up again and tried his best to assess the situation ‘Damn this could go way worse we have to get out of here’. The tension was still crazy as Alex and Liam stood looking menacingly while being calm and collective.
The tall member now had a small ball of fire that was burning hot. Alex finally noticed this and quickly grabbed Liam and threw him behind himself. The second attacker threw up his forearms together in a blocking stance and put Karyi into it to block whatever was coming. As Alex did, the first attacker threw the ball of fire on the ground… BOOM! Alex and Liam were thrown out of the bar through the windows as an explosion blew up the bar. Alex quickly got up and ran up to Liam who was now bleeding profusely due to a chunk of glass in his side. The two members walked out of the now destroyed bar as the only people in the bar to survive the explosions, looking like they didn't care that they just killed around 30 people. Alex realizing if they didn't flee he would have to kill these members and that wouldn't do anyone good, he also noticed that Liam would need medical attention very soon and wouldn't survive if he fought. Making the strategic decisions Alex gathered Liam in his arms and jumped to the top of a nearby building and dashed before the attackers even had time to react.
“Haha, the famed Dr Barnes is fleeing like a scared child. Hilarious.” The young one started and then both broke out in a fight of laughter. Homeless onlookers looked in disdain towards what they considered the devil in human form, The Legion of Fire. Everyone hated the Legion but didn't have the power to do anything about it. As soon as you attacked the Legion your name and photo would be put on their kill list and all members would look for you all over the island, with very few places to hide. They don't care about anyone's lives but their own, they kill, steal, and destroy anything in their path. Lord Ottowa doesnt monitor, rather retreated into the shadows as soon as he gained control of the island and left the people to the wrath of the Legion. They truly are an unstoppable power.
The Legion members slowly walked away basking in the fear of the surrounding citizens and laughing as they left the scene of the crime. There are no police or investigators and the only force in Shabista is the Legion of fire; all other groups have been outlawed. In the most run down town where most people go to hide or get away from things they don't want to face, a tall curly headed man was meditating and said to no one “How interesting…”
