Long ago, the realm of Gaea existed as one massive continent, a land teeming with mythological beings and divine treasures. However, this era of harmony came to a violent end during the Great War, a cataclysmic conflict that claimed the lives of numerous gods and led to the irreversible loss of many precious artifacts. In the aftermath, Gaea was shattered into five distinct continents, a desperate measure taken by the surviving gods to prevent another devastating war from consuming their world.
Amidst the fractured remains of Gaea, A sanctuary that was created to foster peace between different mythologies. It was a place where beings from various pantheons could coexist, sharing knowledge and experiences. However, the joyous vision of Utopia was short-lived.
Five Archangels, emissaries of celestial power, descended upon Utopia, their expressions filled with disappointment and sorrow. They withdrew the gifts they had bestowed upon the inhabitants, including advanced technology and unparalleled benefits, and vanished into a separate realm, leaving behind a perplexed and distraught populace. The knowledge of these gifts and their benefits were lost to time, turning them into elusive legends that some spent their entire lives pursuing in the hopes of rediscovery.
Within the secluded realm, the Archangels granted residence to the angels, celestial beings of immense strength and wisdom. Yet, as the ages passed, the angels' power gradually waned. They no longer possessed the same drive to cultivate their abilities, lacking the motivation they once had when facing adversity. Thus, their strength began to dwindle, and they became shadows of their former glory.
Simultaneously, as the remnants of faith rekindled the existence of the gods, the fabric of the world's laws started to mend itself. However, one goddess remained conspicuously absent from this restoration. Nyx, the deity of night and darkness, failed to return despite the anticipation and longing of her followers. It was believed that only Nyx possessed the ability to repair the night sky, restoring its rightful place in the celestial expanse.
To bridge the void left by Nyx's prolonged absence, the other goddesses of night and darkness undertook the solemn duty of maintaining balance. For thousands of years, they labored to fill the void left by Nyx, ensuring that the nocturnal laws governing Gaea remained intact. Their task was not without challenges, but they held steadfastly to their commitment, determined to uphold the delicate equilibrium of night and day until Nyx herself could rectify the situation.
The goddesses of night, bound by a perpetual peace treaty, understood the ramifications of participating in another war. Any conflict risked amplifying the damage to the world's laws, potentially causing irreparable chaos. Hence, they vowed to remain neutral, their focus solely dedicated to preserving the balance and preventing further deterioration.
As tension between the continents of Gaea rose once more, old grievances and new disputes threatened to shatter the fragile peace. The inhabitants of each land found themselves grappling with the echoes of the past, haunted by the consequences of the Great War. The search for ancient artifacts lost knowledge, and the elusive Utopia became intertwined with political maneuvering and personal quests.
It is within this complex tapestry of shattered continents, forgotten gifts, dwindling power, and the absence of a beloved goddess that the fate of Gaea hangs in the balance.
Meanwhile
In the enchanting realm of Utopia, a remarkable event took place—a new angel was born, unlike any other that had ever graced their land.
Micheal and Gabriel were taken aback since it's been centuries since a new angel was born after a quick meeting with the other archangels they decided to act as the new angel's parents.
This extraordinary being, named Astrid, possessed captivating features that set her apart from her celestial brethren. While angels typically boasted radiant golden locks and wings, Astrid possessed pitch-black hair and wings that seemed to absorb the light around them. Her most enchanting feature was her eyes, which sparkled like the starry night sky, filling those who beheld them with a sense of wonder and awe. And, of course, no angel would be complete without a halo, and Astrid's was a resplendent shade of gold, enhancing her celestial beauty.
Astrid's parents, filled with love and admiration for their unique daughter, bestowed upon her the name Astrid after being captivated by her starry eyes and enchanting smile. They cherished her as a precious gift from the heavens, recognizing that she was destined for greatness.
Astrid's life was one filled with happiness and laughter her parents would never forget when she spoke her first words and took her first steps.
"Papa up!" A little Astrid said giving her dad a pouty face while putting her hands up in the air

"Yes Yes little angel up you go," Micheal said with a fond smile
"Fly Papa fly," said Astrid
Astrid loved the feeling of being in the air but her wings were still too small and weak to support her.
"Alright ready little angel," Micheal said spreading his wings out
"Yes!" Astrid yelled excitedly
To this day Astrid still thinks of this as one of her best memories and just like that 100 years passed
To angels, Astrid was still a teenager but Astrid was ecstatic to have finally been of age. This meant that she can finally train for some reason she always felt the need to get stronger like she would one day require it. Her parents told her that once she became of age they would train her and today was the day she finally became 100 years old.
"Alright Astrid I know you're excited to finally train but this is serious you have to listen to our instructions if we're going to be teaching you," Astrid's mother says seriously
"Yes Mom I understand can we please start please," Astrid says giving her mom her best puppy eyes
"Alright to begin do you know how we absorb energy," Gabriel asks Astrid
"Uhhh yeah with food," Astrid says while rolling her eyes
"No Astrid we angels unlike most races we form our core in a more vital spot rather than the abdomen" Gabriel lectures Astrid
"Ohh I read about this we form our core next to our hearts making us stronger but it's also risky since you can cripple yourself if you mess it up" Astrid answers Gabriel
"Yes, this is why I need you to be serious while I'm guiding you, ok?" Gabriel says getting behind Astrid and making her sit down
"Ok Mom" Astrid complies
"First imagine a water balloon then start to circulate your energy into it," Gabriel instructs
"Make sure to not fill it too much or you'll end up hurting yourself" Gabriel reminds Astrid
Astrid imagines a balloon next to her heart then she begins to circulate her inner energy toward the said balloon.
At first, Astrid thought that it would be easy but as she continued she felt like she was burning up like someone just put her in a furnace and started to turn up the heat.
"It's ok honey you're supposed to feel like this that means that your core is forming" Gabriel reassures her.Moments later
After an hour of pain, Astrid was finally able to form her core.
"Congrats on doing it little angel," Gabriel says lovingly while wiping Astrid's face of sweat.
"Thank you, Mom," Astrid says tiredly
"Go to sleep we can continue tomorrow" As soon as Gabriel says this Astrid passes out
Next Day
"Ughhhh my head feels like it has been split open," Astrid says waking up to a major headache
"Hahahaha that's how we felt when we formed ours a long time ago," Micheal says handing her water
Astrid grabs the water bottle and drinks it.
"Feeling better?" Micheal asks
"Yeah I am, can we go eat?" Astrid says feeling her stomach empty.
"Sure Honey come on let's go," Micheal says
They go to the kitchen to see Gabriel cooking food for Astrid
"I believed that you might be hungry so I went ahead and made food for you now go wash your hands," Gabriel says in a motherly tone
"Yes mam," Astrid says in a playful tone then goes to wash her hands
1 hour later
They are in the backyard and Micheal is holding a crystal ball
"This will test what element affinity you have. All you need to do is put your hand over it for a bit and it will change color," Micheal explains to Astrid.
"Ok," Astrid says, reaching out to put her hand on the ball.
When she touches it the ball turns into the night sky with specks of light symbolizing stars.
"Hmmm most angels are usually affiliated with light but it seems that your affinity is more connected to night/darkness," Micheal says thoughtfully
"Is that bad?" Astrid questions
"Not at all little angel, your training will just be a little different compared to others," Micheal says, patting her head.
It's been a year and Astrid has picked up on the basics quickly and was moving to the more advanced stuff. In terms of strength, Micheal believes that she can become stronger than them but until then he'll do whatever it takes to protect her from what's coming.
One fateful day, the realm came under attack by the outer gods, malevolent entities from beyond their land.
In a desperate attempt to protect Astrid, her parents, who had aged significantly in their angelic years, guided her to an underground temple.
"Astrid we gotta go protect our people but we couldn't risk losing you in case we don't defeat them," Micheal says looking at Astrid sadly
"Mom Dad please let me out I can help you I can use what you taught me please I don't want to lose you guys," Astrid says while pounding on the barrier
"Live a long life Astrid remember that you can do anything as long as you put your mind to it," Gabriel says putting her hand over Astrid's hand mark.
"We love you," both Gabriel and Micheal said before disappearing back to fight the outer gods
As Astrid watched her parents vanish, a mix of grief and anger welled up within her. She was left with a sense of profound loss, yet an anger that she never felt erupted inside of her but not for her parents but for being so weak that she wasn't able to help them. The sight of their smiles in the face of imminent danger etched itself into her memory, becoming a constant reminder of their love and their strength and how weak she felt at that moment.
The barrier started to glow brighter and brighter until Astrid was no longer there.
Back with Gabriel and Micheal they were both bloodied and exhausted after killing 5 outer gods but they were like a hydra the more you killed the more that appear
"At least our daughter is safe huh Micheal," Gabriel says with a smile.
"Yeah let us make sure that they're stuck here for a while so she can grow strong enough to kill them herself," Micheal said with resolve
He and the other archangels started to float high in the sky focusing all their power on making a barrier to protect Gaea and delaying the outer gods from arriving too soon for a couple of years.
Then a giant worm-like creature opens its mouth and devours the realm's whole
"#&*&%^#(*)@)!*~!" Says the creature to the others before disappearing with large injuries all over its body.
