Five years have gone by in a flash, I honestly didn't even feel the time slip by so fast.

I learned the name of this village where I was born the name is Thorpene according to the male my supposed father it's located in the furthest part of this Hirene kingdom.

One more thing I learned was that this kingdom is cold, very cold but at the same time it was kinda exciting feeling the cold all over my body, my fingers were always slightly numb for the first few times the female took me out.

But after some time I grew resistant to the numbness, it is still there but I feel it much less than before.

Whenever the female took me out, she would place me with the other little children of the same age and leave me there alone.

Ever since I spoke my first words she started taking me outside, I don't complain about that, but I don't see the purpose of placing me with other  children.

I learned some things about the children as well, for example, they have the need to physically play rough with each other or so I thought.

It turned out they were actually hitting one child, or how do they say they abused her.

She was a small female child with black eyes and black hair, she had a small face she also wore nothing more than some dirty rags unlike the other children or myself she was also rather thin if she were fed well and properly dressed I think she would attract many males.

But what surprised me most were two little black horns sticking from her forehead, a demon perhaps?

"Hey, Will I think we should stop she might die" spoke one of the children from the group that was hitting the little female.

"Shut up Laurence!"

"Who cares if this thing dies! My mama said she is a fielty half breed and that she should just die!" said the male named Will.

I see now so the humans discriminate against other races, interesting in my old world the humans and demons had the strongest alliance of all races, how interesting.

"Just look at her even her family doesn't care about her! So let's just have some fun with her!" and again that loud little male Will spoke, but this time he glanced at me as well.

"Look what we have here, another strange one look at her eyes they seem like a dead fishes eyes haha" I think he is talking about me.

I look around me and see no one beside me, those little children that immediately ran away from me, interesting.

"Come if you join us we won't hurt you I promise" the little male walked towards me with a grin on his face, I wonder what kind of parents he has to turn out like this, very interesting.

"I have no need to associate myself with you, so I will decline that offer, and you should probably stop hitting that little female she might really die, well then I wish you farewell" I think that should do it.

"Huh?" I wonder why are they all making strange faces.

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"Never mind you are a freak as well as that halfbreed over there we will just teach you a lesson as well!" 

The group started moving towards me, I wonder what a child would do in this situation.

I can't seem to come to a conclusion so I will just scare them a little.

I moved the shadows under their feet and the surroundings and enclosed us within them.

"Huh what the hell is this!?" they started to scream.

"Mommy!?!?" so humans call the females that gave birth to them when they are scared interesting.

"What is this place, I want to leave mama!!" the leader of their little group the little male called Will started to cry and liquid soaked his fine clothes.

The other little children had the same reaction to this place, I don't know why are they so scared of the dark, I guess I should let them out now.

I told the shadows to retreat and so they did.

"We are out....r.....run!!" and so they ran away, seem some of the little females passed out on the ground, well I am sure someone will come and pick them up.

I have regained even more of my powers of the years, I was right they returned slowly every day, by now I can make spaces like this one I used to scare the little ones, also I can make tear the shadows from their owners now.

Well, I guess I should head back now, my female should be worried because I stayed out a little longer than usual.

"Th...thank..you" I heard a faint voice behind me.

I glanced back and saw the little demon female still lying down on the cold snow covered ground, she was bleeding a little but I think she will live.

"There is no need for your gratitude little demon female, they wanted to hurt me so I taught them a little lesson they shall not forget, maybe for the rest of their lives who knows" I turned around again but she faintly spoke again.

"Still....I thank you.." I wonder.

"Little demon, where is your home, don't your female and male worry about you and what about the way you look?" 

"My mother was beaten to death.......by....my father...when I was born...he 

told me she was not faithful so she was punished.....he kept me alive all these years....to abuse me and beat me everyday....he said it was to further punish my mother....so he doesn't care if I die...." I see so humans can behave like that as well.

"Well then little demon would you like to live, if you do there is a price to pay you will have to serve me if you agree just say yes if not just naturally say no" I wonder if I can get her to serve me, I want to learn how other beings behave, like this little demon in front of me.

"I....dont know....what to say....I don't understand..." I see.

"Well, then I bid you farewell little demon" Well that was a waste.

I turn around and start walking towards the direction of the building I am living in right now.

"W.....wait ! I will.....I will serve you!" I turn back.

"You made the right choice little demon and congratulations on becoming a first of its kind, a shadow legionnaire with flesh and blood" 

"Huh....." the little demon looked puzzled as I reached down to her shadow and used my power to fuse the little demon and the shadow together.

"Wha......atragageagragragrfgha!!!!" the little demon started to scream and kick around.

I think the shadow legion became weak when they were apart from their host, yes they could not be hurt by normal weapons, but they, no we lost something else when were shadows, we lost the power to feel things.

"Huff!" "Huff!" it seems the merging was successful.

"What did you do to me!?" the little demon jumped up and screamed at me.

"How do you fell little demon?" I asked her.

"Huh...it...it feels like I am overflowing with power....and you-you seem really familiar now and I have the urge to kneel down" the little demon spoke while she inspected her body.

"Indeed all the shadows feel like that because I am the shadow king, or in this case, the shadow queen, I joined you with your shadow, you are now my servant and my legionnaire serve me well, also tell me your name" 

"I see, I really don't have a shadow anymore....and umm I don't have a name sorry" she looked down as she spoke.

"Hmm, in that case, your name shall be Leeta now hurry I need to return" I urged the little demon.

"I thank you for granting me a name it is a great honor!......why did I kneel...that's right she is the queen....my queen" the little demon yelled and then she mumbled something and then smiled she run towards me with haste.

I just hope I didnt pick up a troublesome little demon.
