I have been writing this story for nearly two months if you include the work I put in prior to publishing on royal road. It has been a wonderful journey thus far and I'm super appreciative of all the amazing readers who've taken time to enjoy Shackles of Fate. Especially those who've interacted through reviews, comments or simply following! Prior to this I had not been writing for nearly two years so I was understandably rusty, which I think has shown in some areas of the story. Unfortunately it hasn't quite gained the traction needed to really take off so it is with a heavy heart that I am announcing that I will be concluding the first volume of the story once Elaria arrives at Cloudvale. I will only be releasing two chapters a week until that point as it will not take too long story wise.

However, fear not! If you have enjoyed this story and are a fan of my writing style or simply want a new story to binge, I have been working on another project that I will be releasing in the near future. It will also be a LitRPG, though with a slightly less gamey system and set in a cultivation world rather than a typical fantasy one. I won't say too much more as that would be spoiling but I hope anyone who enjoyed this story will at least give it a try when I do release it.

All the many comments and reviews have helped me see where I went wrong with this story and how to avoid those mistakes in future ones and I'm hoping to have a much more polished product that people will engage with better. It's been an amazing journey for me as I really enjoy writing and it's been so fun to experience that joy once more along with supportive readers.
