No, this doesn't mean an alien race peacefully cohabited with us, instead...our world was ripped from it's normalcy. The Fading caused humans to disappear worldwide, transported to a whole other world...or worlds.  A dystopian world where humanity no longer reigned supreme. Instead were cast aside. As history begins to end and decline, as the world seems still and almost sinking into nothingness... A conqueror is born.
