Silver Bay City, 18th October 2025
Lita’s mind is full of questions. She is asking herself if she made the right choice to follow them. For the moment she got to focus on something else, she needs to see her boss for permission to live the country to South Africa, then she meets Mike;
“Mike, can I have a word with you?”
“Sure………… what is it?”
“I want you to check something for during my absence”
“Where are you going?”
“South Africa for a trip”
“Good! Take me with you.”
“I can’t, sorry…….. But I promise I gonna keep you something a very nice present just for you”
“Hmm…….. Really?”
“For sure I promise.”
“Okay, what do you want me to check?”
“I want you to check any information about the Sillas Family, I mean everything.”
“Why? We wrote everything about their father during our last interview a year ago. And you were present.”
“I know! But his son, I know nothing about his son. That’s why I want you to check on the whole family, which might miss something.”
“Like what?”
“I don’t know yet but just try to check out anything on them.”
“Okay!”
Then I left Mike to see Big Joe, for permission to live the country. At first, he taught I was still investigating on the BSF (even though not directly) then I lie to him about that I was shooting a documentary in South Africa for humanitarian care. Then he asks me;
“For how long you will be there?”
“Hmmmmm……… honestly I don’t know!!! When I'm finished, you will be the first to know.”
“I hope so. Always keep me in touch understood?”
“Okay boss!”
I left the office, I already packed the things I went outside then Alex and Kobe were already waiting for me in the car. I got in, and then I look through the window I don’t know if it was just my imagination or somebody was spying on me. Alex asks me if everything is okay. I assure him he should worry nothing is wrong; we took off straight to the airport.
A few minutes later,
A spy was following Lita, Alex, and Kobe. The then calls his boss;
“There are on the move.”
“Follow them I wanna know exactly where they are going.” The mysterious man answered
Understood,
He follows them to the airport; he got their destination, and he even saw the both of them sitting, waiting, but he realizes something strange they were two of them where is the third one. The time he went to the restroom to make his call to his boss he got knocked out by Kobe. Kobe took the cell phone of the spy, the boss answered;
“Hello, hello, hello……”
“Who are you?”
……………..
“If you like don’t answer. But let me tell you first we are coming for all of you.”
Kobe throws the phone into the sink, flushes and then goes to join Alex and Lita. Kobe wrote a small note to Alex, in the note it was written “THEY KNOW”, Alex didn’t feel surprised about it. Both men know how someone has followed them, but it changes nothing for the mission continues. They went to the passenger’s seat and took off.
SOUTH AFRICA, City of Shyballa
The plane landed, over 24 hrs of a flight, sitting near two strangers I don’t know yet, but who claim they can protect me in exchange I can write anything on them which is not a bad deal for me. We arrived in South Africa in the city called Shyballa the most populated city of the country. The three of us took a taxi to a strange safe house of the BSF in my mind I thought it would be a strange small house far away from the city instead the safe house was in the most expensive hotel in Shyballa.
Then I ask them “why here?” Alex responded by saying it will create less attention towards our enemies. Anyhow, I didn’t want to ask further questions, the name of the hotel is the “Golden “where only important personalities can live and afford a place to stay or to sleep. We took room R47, a nice room in an African stylish way. Alex tells me I’m gonna stay in this room alone since there is only one bedroom they will take the opposite room.
“So you will stay here ok?”
“Yeah……. But the room is huge for me alone, can I take another smaller?”
“No. This is the best room for you. Unless…….”
“Unless…… What?”
“You want me to stay with you buy your side, for more protection or affection,” Alex responded with a greedy smile.
“No thanks, maybe it is better for me to stay alone.”
Even though I am supposed to stay alone, both of them stay with me for a small period waiting for a call from their informant. A few minutes later, Kobe received a message from the informant and he shows it to us.
“Tomorrow at 11:30 a.m, east of Shyballa in the Eat and Fly restaurant.” Kobe proposed to take me to see the informant for him, while Alex said he would visit his new girlfriend. I knew Alex was lying from the way he said it, I didn’t care at first but I was sure he was hiding something and I said myself I will think about it later. Kobe said I should rest because tomorrow it will be a long day and he was right tomorrow will definitely be a long day.
Next morning, Kobe and I went to the rendezvous point while Alex got what I called a date with his girlfriend. We took a taxi to reach the restaurant they Eat and Fly restaurant; it is not the biggest restaurant in the corner in east Shyballa, but it is small and highly populated. With their music mixed with African style and modern westernize music eventually it is entertaining to listen. We took our sit when we arrived. I talked;
“For a small restaurant, there are many people here.”

“All you need to know is this, where there is music, I mean superb music in a small restaurant or a big one there will be a lot of influence because here in South Africa and mostly in other African countries we love music”. It is the first time I see Kobe speaking with a lot of ease and passion. Somebody was approaching, an old man of late sixties coming towards us. He seems to know Kobe well they even greeted each other;
“How are you doing Okeke? Kobe asks”.
“I’m old and hungry at the same time! Both men laughed”.
“Let me present you, Lita Simmons, our reporter”
“Hello!”
“Nice to meet you miss Simmons”.
“Thank you!” After Kobe asked;
“Where is Knox”? Somebody came behind me and said;
“Nice hair”!!! I turn my head, I see a woman, a tall one, exquisite well dressed as a secretary, with a big chest very attractive. What was intriguing is that I didn’t felt her presence? She greets Kobe;
“Long time Kobe”!
“Long time……..! You know already Lita Simmons right”?
“The Colonel briefs me about her!".
Kobe turns to present her;
“Lita this is Knox, an agent of the Blue Sentinels”.
“OH!!! I didn’t know there were women in the BSF”?
“Now you know”. Knox responded by laughing.
We all sat down for a moment since Okeke was so hungry ordered for a meal to all of us to eat and after the meal, Kobe went to directly to business. Okeke is Kobe informant in South Africa for two a month now he has given solid information for them to operate. Knox is a soldier just like Kobe sent by their boss as reinforcement actually they are in the same squad that’s what I heard from Kobe. Okeke gave important information to Kobe about Kurt Sillas.
“The Sillas family is building a great hospital for the South African community health care. He is becoming more and more popular around the country even in the world. Kurt Sillas is the head of this program because he is the one who has the idea in the first place he is already the owner of the hospital.”
“Is it all? Kobe asks…..”
“Not at all, AWFO give their authorization with the South African government to help build the hospital. The project started seven months before the new president of South Africa elected, they are already preparing for the inauguration it will behold in three days' time.” Knox replied.
“I don’t know if he is doing this for a good gesture but I think there is a real purpose of building that hospital.”
“That’s why we need you Lita to make an acquaintance with him. We need you to make another interview with him and I think he might recognize you.”
Kobe wanted me to interview Kurt Sillas as soon as possible. I already agree to do it but I ask the most important question for me;
“Who can give me any information about the other group? What’s their name again……….. Yes, the Black Sand I want to know more about them.”
“It is a private military company who is there to protect all the Sillas family investment. They were all former soldiers from different countries. Their HQ is here in South Africa. That’s all we know for the moment.”
Knox gave me the first information I need for the Black Sand, more will come I’m sure since I’m stuck with them for the moment. Kobe asks Okeke to live the restaurant, he will be a reward later but he should rest. When Okeke left, Knox remains with us giving Kobe more information about her mission here with Kobe and Alex. She receives intel from Mexico about a strong cartel organization working in collaboration with an unknown group and also one of their agent there saw the leader of the cartel organization and Kurt Sillas together. They gave Knox this information to share with them;
“Col. Sanders wanted me to go to Mexico instead he sent me here to stay with you guys. He, therefore, sent another sentinels soldier to operate and extract any information from there.”
“Hmm Mexico is a dangerous city I hope everything will be fine for them”. Kobe replied!
“It will be, trust me they are one of the best of our squad.”
Then Knox was taking her to leave, before going she said: “I will meet you soon Lita maybe I will invite you to write an article on me.” “I say no problem,” then she left.
Kobe and I left the restaurant then suddenly, a dark black Mercedes stop right in front of us windows go down and they open fire multiple times. Luckily we took cover on the ground since they didn’t have time to aim well, they try to escape as quickly as possible unfortunately for them Kobe has his handgun with him shoot their tires and they crash.
The driver was knocked out by the impact of the accident the other two quickly came out from the car shoots back at us since we were chasing them. Kobe wanted me to stay still no retaliation from me but he saw he couldn’t stop me so we were chasing them together. Kobe knocked out the first shooter with ease with a single a punch in the stomach, then the second shooter I took him out with a direct kick into the face and hit the glass of the car.
The two shooters were down, Kobe took the shooters put the both of them in the trunk. Kobe goes alone to see if he can extract information from them.
“I will go alone Lita this time…… for your own sake you need to go back to the hotel safe.”
“Honestly, I wanted to see this through but you’re right I will go back to the hotel and prepare myself to see if I can meet Kurt Sillas.”
“Before I go, Lita, can I ask you a question?”
“Yeah what is it!”
“Do you…… really……. Want to be a reporter?”
“………. Why?”
“Let me say something frankly too you. You don’t act like a reporter. What happens now made me think of it, I saw it in your eyes and those eyes that glance towards me wasn’t fear but something else. Those were the eyes of somebody who wanted to fight. Maybe I am wrong but that is what I saw in you.”
“I think you’re wrong Kobe.”
“Trust me; I know what I’m talking about. You hate war I know that but are you sure that hate you have for war it is not a false pretext to show exactly why you are here for?”
Kobe left a few minutes ago, and now because of him, my mind crowded with full of questions within myself. All I can know is to go back to the Golden hotel and wait for Kurt Sillas.
At the same moment, still in Shyballa,
Alex met his girlfriend actually he is dating the ambassador secretary of the United States of America, Linda Kingsley attractive and a former CIA operative agent. Dating Alex for a while now, Alex needs her to gather information for his own research. In a small motel in the western part of Shyballa twenty miles away from the Golden hotel, Alex and Linda meet there once every month. This is the third time they meet each other.
“Hmmmmmm………………. What is inside this file?”
“A small report I’m supposed to give to my boss.”
“Oh!! Do you have anything for me?”
“For what you asked not really but I have something else for you”. She opens her bag and gave me a green file:
“You told me before you were looking for a woman right? Then I started my research by using many of my own resources to find this. The woman you are seen in this picture is presumed dead since three years now, that’s not the case because if you look there is another photo of her in getting in a black jeep accompanied by two bodyguards. This photo was taken a week ago, which means she is still alive.”
So she is alive! Well………. I will like where this picture comes from?
“If you like I can give you the file only one condition. After reading or analyzing it you burn the file so that nobody should look for it or tracing it since I was the only gathering this information. Oh! Who is she for you?”
“Is a long story…………”
Really…………. A long story!
“Trust me is better you shouldn’t know. I will keep your advice after reading it I will burn it and thank you for this I owe you one.”
“You owe me a lot.” They share a kiss and left the motel. Alex at that moment felt hope for the first time since he saw that photo he seems anxious and it a little surprise at the same time. Alex thinks he needs to stop using Linda, or else she will get her in serious trouble or maybe worse.
Back to the Golden,
Lita went back to the hotel feeling tired thinking of what just happen today with Kobe in the restaurant. Lita asks herself if Kobe was right about what he said earlier to her once more her mind isn’t stable.
It was already 8pm Kobe and Alex are not yet back; she took a well fine blue dress to go down in the Golden hotel mini bar. As soon she got there the eyes of various men staring at the beauty of Lita.
Very few women were in the bar but two women made the distinction, another woman with a white and shiny dress with a diamond necklace around her chest. The woman came closer to my direction we were sitting on the mini-bar like escort-girls looking for men to come and seduce us for money;
“Waiting for somebody?”
Not really and you?
Just bored with staying here; the woman lighted her cigarette and presented herself.
Amina!
Lita! Nice meeting you.
We chatted each other for over 30 minutes; we share drinks; we enjoyed talking about ourselves and she gave me details about her. Amina that’s her name, she is a Doctor here in South Africa precisely in Shyballa; they are inaugurating a new hospital here where she will work in three days' time, that’s reminds me what Kobe informant told us about Sillas building a hospital here. Which means she must definitely know Sillas, speaking of the devil, a man came in with a blue sky suits, blond hair and with his green eyes. It is Sillas coming to our table:
“My beautiful doctor how, I hope you are having a good time?”
“I’m not complaining Mr Sillas, even though you are late.”
“Oh, I’m sorry I was dealing with something very important…………… wait a minute is not our dear reporter from the US standing in front of me? Miss Lita what brings you here in South Africa?” Greeting me by kissing my hand and I replied:
You!
“Ooohhh!!! I’m flattered, so I will give you my number and my invitation card for the inauguration of my hospital.”
That was my chance to have an interview with him I have his number and the invitation card so in three days I will be there. I saw Amina and Sillas talking together they seemed close, like a couple I guess, the way he is talking to her and touching her feels like a relationship. The both of them were departing soon, Amina told me I should not miss the inauguration, Sillas and Amina left. I went back to my room try to contact with my cell phone but no response; it was already the middle of the night and none of them are back. What could they possibly do? If I knew I should have followed them but for me it doesn’t matter, I will wait their return in the morning.
