Ch: 3 [Rebirth]

"Ohhh, stop it. Whose child is crying? Stop screaming..." Our Hero grumbled, disoriented by the cries of a newborn filling the room. He tried to make sense of his surroundings, rubbing his head in confusion.

"Ohhh... My head... Humm... Ohh..." He groaned, attempting to recall what had transpired before finding himself in this unfamiliar situation.

"Where am I? Oouch... Which bastard slapped my butt?" Our Hero exclaimed, feeling a sharp sting on his rear end. The reality of his rebirth began to sink in, leaving him bewildered and frustrated.

"What the freaking hell is going on here?" He muttered, his mind racing with questions and disbelief.

"I am still alive... But..." Our Hero trailed off, his thoughts interrupted by a sudden appearance before his eyes.

"Reincarnation? I got reborn... Am I dreaming or hallucinating on my deathbed?" Our Hero questioned, his voice filled with a mix of incredulity and curiosity.

"What the heck is this God's Favor?" He wondered aloud, scanning the message before him. The possibility of receiving something exclusive from a divine entity intrigued him.

"Do I get something exclusive from God if I activate it?" He contemplated, a mischievous grin forming on his face.

"Wait... Wait... Wait..." Our Hero paused, his mind working through the implications. "Since I am just born... I can have some goodies from the big man above in advance..." He chuckled, his eyes gleaming with newfound hope. "Hehehehe. Can't believe I got lucky after death... Sorry big man, for cursing you all the time, and thank you for the gift you will be giving me now..."

With resolve in his heart, Our Hero made his decision. "Yes, activate God's Favor," he declared, his voice laced with anticipation.

As he activated the skill, laughter erupted from his lips. But instead of experiencing a grand revelation or an immediate reward, the only sound that reached his ears was the persistent crying of the newborn.

[In the hospital room]

Everyone in the room was astounded by the radiant glow surrounding the newborn child. A warm and tranquil energy enveloped the space, dissipating the exhaustion and worries that had weighed heavily on their hearts and minds.

"What was that energy wave?" Jaxon Silver, the head of the Silver family, stammered, his eyes wide with disbelief. "Did he just glow?" He rubbed his eyes, thinking he must be hallucinating.

"It looks like the Silver family is going to have another genius. His energy readings are off the charts. What we felt was just a brief outburst of his energy... Congratulations, Mrs. Trisa," the doctor congratulated her while studying her medical records.

"Hahaha... Good... Very good..." Jaxon chuckled, his initial anger melting away as he gazed at his grandson's peaceful face.

"But where is that Jin bastard..." Jaxon muttered, a hint of annoyance creeping into his voice. "Let that bastard come... I am gonna break his legs..." He grumbled, his protective instincts flaring up.

"Don't blame him, father... His great sense of justice is why I love him so much. But why am I feeling this uneasiness in my heart?" Trisa questioned, her eyes fixated on her son's serene sleeping face. A nagging worry gnawed at her, causing her heart to ache.

"Cough... Cough..." Trisa's weak cough interrupted the room's momentary tranquility, and her face contorted in pain as she coughed up blood.

"Trisa!!!!" Jaxon exclaimed in shock, his concern evident in his voice.

"Doctor!!!!" he called out urgently, his worry escalating as he witnessed his wife's distress.

"Is the poison reacting again?" Jaxon's voice trembled, fear and desperation etched on his face.

Trisa, a former Hunter who had ventured into unknown lands, had contracted a mysterious illness. It was later discovered that her blood had been infected with a mutated, intelligent parasite. Removing it would prove fatal, as the parasite acted as a lethal host, killing its host in the process. Trisa had endured the pain, fighting with sheer willpower, just to catch a glimpse of her child's face.

"Cough... Akkkkk..."

Trisa's weak cough intensified, and a puddle of dark, black blood spilled onto the floor. The nearby nurse swiftly took the child from her arms to prevent any contamination.

Suddenly, a red tentacle emerged from the pool of blood, wriggling and glowing ominously.

"The parasite... It got out... Hurry!!!! Kill that abomination before it targets someone else!" The doctor urgently shouted upon spotting the parasite lifeform.

Without hesitation, Jaxon extended his hand, his palm enveloped in azure flames. "Azure Flame... Bastard, finally got you..." he muttered, his voice tinged with determination. The blue flames erupted from his palm, reducing the parasite to ashes.

"It's a miracle... I don't know how, but her condition is improving rapidly. It's as if someone is using the Hyper Regeneration Skill on her body." The doctor frantically checked Trisa's vital signs, nearly slamming his head against the nearby equipment in his haste.

[Location: South Pole]

Jin found himself locked in a fierce battle against a mutated ice monster. Originally a 4th-tier creature, the monster had undergone a mutation, ascending to an 8th-tier Ice Lich. Jin, a 7th-tier Aura Master, should have possessed sufficient power to defeat it. However, the extreme cold temperature proved to be a hindrance. The Ice Lich used its territorial advantage to freeze Jin's aura every time he attempted an attack.

[Ice Litch 8th tier High Ranking Monster. Its appearance is like that of a human skeleton covered in a blue cloak and a staff as a weapon in its left hand. It has the ability to control all types of ice spells and can be a nuisance to deal with due to its AOE spells. It is known for its traps of isolating its targets and killing them one by one. However, once its staff is broken, the Ice Litch becomes as weak as a sheet of paper.]

"Damn it!"

"This Lich bastard..."

"If only someone breaks this freaking storm..."

Jin gritted his teeth, frustration mounting as he struggled against the formidable foe.

"Why am I even fighting this battle?"

"I should have been with my wife..."

"I can feel my body has reached its limit... Then why am I struggling so much?"

"Haaaaa...."

"I won't die until I see my family. My wife and child are waiting for me... I cannot be killed by the likes of you... Not here... Not now..."

"I will break past my limits right here and now..."

Jin screamed, summoning all his resolve to push beyond his boundaries. He had come too far to be defeated by a mere Ice Lich. His strikes grew stronger and more precise with each passing moment.

The Ice Lich jumped back, creating distance and unleashing a barrage of deadly ice shards toward Jin.

With swift movements, Jin dashed forward, utilizing the slippery frozen ground to his advantage. He slashed through the onslaught of ice shards with his frozen sword.

"So slow... What's this feeling?"

Jin's body began to emit a radiant golden glow as he continued to parry and attack the enemy before him. The world around him seemed to slow down, while his own speed increased exponentially.

Sparks of blue aura and ice magic filled the battlefield as Jin engaged in a dance of parries and counterattacks. The ice tornado that had once encased the area began to dissipate, the Ice Lich running low on energy.

And then, in a critical moment, Jin shouted, "Now! Jess!"

A gunshot rang out, and a bullet pierced through the Ice Lich's staff.

"Haaaa... Die, freak," Jin bellowed as he charged forward, his figure a blur. A crescent arc of golden energy surged from his sword, cleaving through the Ice Lich and reducing it to nothingness.

"Arrrgggggggg!!!!"

"Hahahahaha... We won..."

Jin let out a victorious cry, his voice echoing through the battleground.

"Boss!"

"Your energy... You've reached the legendary 9th tier..."

"How did you do it? You skipped the 8th tier... You're incredible, Boss..."

Jess, the team's sniper, exclaimed in awe, witnessing the golden aura emanating from Jin's body.

"Hahaha... Who knows..." Jin replied, a mixture of confusion and astonishment on his face. "We'll talk about this later. We're heading home... I can't wait to see my child... Hurry up." He called for their aircraft, eager to reunite with his family.
