A rewrite of my old story from a year ago – Monsters invaded earth – I decided to fight without weapons!  As Earth's population reached the threshold of ten billion, the (self-proclaimed) warden appears. He arms everyone with either a sword or spear or bow and starts the selection of the fittest. A program to reduce the numbers. Charlie is someone who never received a starting weapon.
