The end of June has arrived and thanks to the Head three masters, they have put together the Years third birthday gathering. Everyone gathered to the hall that was decorated with red and gold with plentiful food and drinks. On the side they had a bunch of gift bags for everyone who celebrated their birthdays that month.

“We’re all gathered here tonight to celebrate the birthdays of all the students the past two months. We are pleased that you are all aware that we havent forgotten about any of you but that we do value everyone as equals. It’s been an exciting and progressive year and we’re only half way through. Everyone has made us so proud but for now we would just like to honour all the birthday specials and hand out gifts.”

Chujitsuna gestured for Karai to come stand up front. Karai was confused as to why she was the first to come to receive gifts since they usually call everyone alphabetically. “I am sure you are quite confused-“ Ryuu & Koshiko came closer, “but we would like to announce that we are pleased that you, Karai, will now be one of the Master trainees. You will now accompany us during missions and soon be a master yourslef.” Karai’s eyes started watering, hands over her face as tears of joy streamed down her cheek. “Your outstanding skill and determination has brought you far in this short time and we had the mutual decision to even out our squad.” Chujitsuna continued. Karai bowed in front of them and they bowed back in respect. Then Ryuu walked up towards her and help up a little red ribbon with a golden bell. “Fitting gift for a kitten, right?” Kashikoi replied. Karai’s face lit up. She hesitated to remove her dads gift, but thought it was time to embrace all the new things in her life and pulled her hair aside for Ryuu to place it around her neck.

Everyone started cheering and applauding before they commenced with the rest of the gift hand-outs.
