His stare was a bit pressuring. Especially since it's been a while since I've met someone stronger than I was.
"I lost my memory."
"How convenient."
"I saved your brother, and taught him magic."
"And how did you do that, if you lost your memory?"
"I do not know."
"Why are you unable to access the system?"
"I do not know."
"Are you even human?"
"...yes."
How rude.
The man sighed, rubbing his temples, "You're coming with me to end this war."
"What? I decline." I rather he drops me off somewhere safe.
"You're in no position to say no," He tossed me a bottle, "besides that, I can't let an unidentified person who can use magic run around."
I caught the bottle, it was filled with a semi-transparent red liquid.
"You really don't know anything, do you?" The man stared at my face,"That's a healing potion."
"How can I trust you?"
"Tch." He clicked his tongue and took the potion back.
With a big gulp, he swallowed half the contents and threw it back to me, "Happy now?"
"...thank you." I wasn't that ungrateful.
I quickly finished the contents of the bottle.
It was quite sweet.
As he said, it was really a potion, I could feel the wounds on my body healing rapidly. It was quite magical, to say the least.
"Do you not know how to use healing magic?"
"I do not have an affinity for it." Even with a different body, I was still someone who could only use elemental magic.
"Fair enough." He shrugged, "Follow me, we'll clear the territory and sort out your situation when we're back on Earth."
As much as I wanted to, I doubt this body of mine could outrun this man, and I couldn't use teleportation magic just yet.
With my brows furrowed, I followed him out of the den.
To my surprise, it seemed like the trap caught him off guard, since the magic had activated, I could see the pit in all of its glory.
I wonder if he fell in.
I watched with amazement as the guy leapt over the pit. It was quite a sight since the den was rather small, and the pit was quite long.
As for me and Theodore, I simply made a path out of magic. By the way, I checked for blood on the spikes when I walked over. There wasn't any.
What greeted me was a woman who was wearing similar equipment to the man.
"She's Charlotte, and I'm Nathaniel." He introduced themselves.
Unfortunately, the woman looked quite strong as well. With short black hair and tanned skin, she looked like a warrior.
"My name is Ciel." I greeted them with the name of this body.
"What a scruffy-looking guy." The woman looked at me with surprise, "You're saying he can use magic?"
My fingers twitched from that comment, but I couldn't retort. I hadn't checked what I looked like, but this body was quite weak looking. I had long hair that covered my eyes, bloodied and tattered clothes, as well as a skinny frame.
"He's the one that set up that trap."
"Mm, that was pretty good," She scrutinised me with a curious gaze, "But he looks like he'd die if a goblin swatted him."
"I would be grateful if you could drop me off somewhere safe." I looked at the woman, trying to look pitiful.
"No, he's coming with us."
This brat.
"You'll be the safest with us, the territory area on Earth is a mess right now." He explained with a straight face, "Unless, you're trying to die?"
I stared at the man, was he cursing me?
"As the woman said, I am weak enough for just about anything to kill me right now, I would not be useful."
"Who said you needed to do anything? Just sit back with my brother."
I guess I couldn't complain.
I watched as the two of them stared at the space before them, their fingers tapping in the air. Was that the system they were talking about? Regardlessly, they looked quite stupid doing that.

"The target objective isn't too far off, we can just rush in."
"Who's the target objective?" I asked, looking at the two idiots.
"Hmm?" The woman looked at me, "The strongest monster on their side, of course. And lovely Nathan here is the target objective on our side." Her elbow rested on the man's shoulder with a smirk.
How irritating.
I already could tell that this man was strong, but for him to be one of the strongest in the area meant that I really couldn't escape.
She tossed over a strange object to Theodore, who was standing at the side, "Use this to protect yourself."
What was that? It was close to cylindrical in shape, but it had a strange handle and a body that varied in diameter at different parts. It didn't seem like a weapon, but I guess it was a strange invention by the people of this world.
Theodore grabbed the item, looking at the woman with gratefulness, "Thank you!" He smiled.
This kid, he wasn't even that polite to me when I taught him magic.
The both of us followed behind them silently, trudging through the forest. In the meantime, I continued to absorb the mana in the air.
Of course, I also had the kid do the same.
It was annoying that he sucked out most of the mana near us, but having one more fighting member would be safer. I didn't know how strong his brother or that woman was, so it would be safer if the two of us could at least protect ourselves.
Along the way, we met up with a few more monsters.
They seemed to be much stronger than the ones we saw yesterday, and they came in waves as if they already knew where we were.
Were both the monsters and the people on our side capable of locating the target objectives?
Of course, they were cut up easily by Nathaniel and Charlotte. As the woman said, the man was strong, with his sword, he managed to cut apart the monsters relatively easily.
It was to the point that I could leisurely instruct the kid on how to cast basic spells behind them. He wasn't lying when he said the safest place would be next to them.
I furrowed my brows as I stared at the kid. I had just taught him the theory of [Ignite]. I expected quite a bit, but the tiny flame that barely appeared on the magic circle above the tip of his fingertips was quite pathetic.
Each magician had their own affinity, which branched out to different kinds of magic. For me, I was compatible with elemental magic of every kind, like a jack of all trades. However, I couldn't use any other kind of magic.
In comparison, this was a kid with absolutely no affinity for elemental magic.
It was quite a strange sight, considering that elemental magic was the gateway to magic. Even a summoner magician could use at least use basic elemental magic.
In conclusion, I've never seen a person struggle to even conjure [Ignite].
"...I'm sorry." The kid, staring at my face, apologised sincerely.
"I do not have anything to teach you." I sighed, "I am not familiar with other types of magic, so you have to find someone else."
"Hey! Ciel!" The woman's voice rang out.
The two of them seemed to have won the fight quite easily, "Come over here for a second." She waved at me as if beckoning a dog.
This b-
I walked over.
It wasn't as if I could do anything else.
A half-dead monster was on the ground, beneath the woman's feet, "Can you kill this for a second?"
"Pardon?" I looked at her.
"I heard you can't even earn points, let's test this out together." She looked down at me with sparkly eyes.
It was quite intimidating.
As if I was a show pony, I obediently cast a spell.
[Earth spike]
In a flash, spikes grew from beneath the monster, stabbing through it.
It was quite humorous to see her jump, avoiding the spikes.
But rather than knocking me out, she was staring at the space in front of her, "Woah, it's true~ The points didn't even get split, I got all of them."
...it must be nice.
I wanted to knock this woman out if I could.
"Don't waste time, let's go." A curt voice called out.
And we continued our journey, this time the two of us at the back were completely silent. I could feel the kid's disappointment from not being able to learn magic, but there was really nothing I could do.
But the least I could do was instruct him as he continued to diligently gather mana.
"Gather most of your mana to your heart first."
The first step was to create a core in your heart, followed by the mind. Afterwards, the work would be to create mana circles through those cores.
But that would take a while, even for a genius.
As for me, I was collecting mana in a completely different way.
Rather than making my heart and mind a core, I was making my body a core. It was a method that carved magic circuits into my flesh, blood and organs. This made my body more receptive to collecting and holding mana.
It was painful, a strange sensation for someone who didn't feel pain.
For someone like me to not have talent in both my lives, this was the only way to gain power that was beyond my "vessel".
I was pretty unlucky.
I swallowed the blood in my mouth and trudged behind the duo. We had been walking for a long time, enough for the sun to rise to the middle of the sky.
I was tired, sweaty, and I was hungry.
The kid next to me seemed perfectly fine, though. I had no choice but to grit my teeth and cast [Cleanse] on myself as I continued to drag my body forwards.

"Isn't that guy suspicious?" Charlotte's voice spoke softly, as she cut up the monsters in front of her.
"He is, that's why I'm bringing him along."
"It doesn't make sense for someone to forget basic information like that, and how did a guy like that learn magic?"
Nathaniel had a troubled expression on his face.
Magicians were quite rare on earth, it required a huge amount of luck to obtain a [Magician's manual] to unlock the prerequisites of the magician class. Not only that, there took a lot of bloodshed and money to learn spells.
But the strange kid was teaching magic to his brother like it was nothing.
It had been 8 years since the appearance of the system, but there were only 4 magicians in the world right now who were able to create and learn spells without the use of a skill book.
So why was this kid doing it like it was nothing?
It was really weird.
"And I've never ever seen someone who didn't have system access!" She exclaimed softly.
Not only that, he was never aware of a person called Ciel.
But it didn't seem like an act, the way that the young-looking man was following behind them as if he was on the verge of death. It was almost comical, he hadn't seen a person struggle so much from just walking before.
'At least for now, he wasn't a threat.' The man thought as he elegantly swung his sword.
***
After another hour or so, the kid spoke up, "S-Should we take a break?" He muttered softly, his eyes darting between myself, and the duo with a worried expression.
I was quite grateful. I was about to pass out.
I had stopped reconstructing my body about 30 minutes earlier, but I was still on the verge of breaking down.
I could feel the man's scrutinising gaze as he spoke with a bit of disdain, "Alright."
It wasn't my choice to be weak.
I plopped on the ground beneath me, closing my eyes to ward off the wave of dizziness that washed over me.
"Have some water." The kid handed me a bottle of water, which was quickly followed by a packet of food.
As I expected, he was a good kid.
I dug into the food ferociously as I watched the duo fight off the monsters that had come our way.
It tasted good.
"Are there a lot of people on Earth this strong?" I asked after finishing my food cleanly.
"Huh? Well," The kid looked at me with a troubled expression, "N-not really, most of the stronger players went into the tower."
"What's a tower?"
"It's something that appeared along with the apocalypse. It was introduced as a place for people to get stronger, so a lot of people went in. After that, no one has came out after 8 years." The woman's voice rang out from in front of me, "But the rewards for clearing a tower are enticingly good, to the point that even I'm tempted to go in."
It would be nice if the guy next to you went in and never came out.
As expected, they cleared out the monsters quite easily and were now cleaning their swords again.
If they were going to fight again anyways, why did they even bother?
Knights were troublesome in many ways.
"I see." I nodded, it was quite interesting.
This world was completely different from Argius.
After the territory war ends, I look forward to exploring Earth.
