Chapter 10: Distress
Sector 19: Durim’sClub 19:00
The black agents walked across the street and pushed open the door to the now quiet nightclub. A small green light came on behind the door as they kept walking, "I can't believe this place is deserted already," they walked through the empty club and into the VIP room.
"Looks like STAM ripped this place apart already too," 014 dragged her finger across the window sill to see it come back dustless.
Keiko sighed, "Looks like we won't find him here...any clues as to where he would go?"
"I don't-" Aku suddenly felt her hairs stand up straight, "DUCK!"
Without hesitating, Keiko dropped to the ground just in time as the wall behind her was busted open and Ryuichi flew through the hole. He had his fist pulled back and flew toward Aku. In only a second Aku grabbed Ryuichi by the arm and threw him through the wall behind her, "013, let's get out of here quick!"
Kei jumped to her feet and nodded but was quickly pushed back to the ground and pulled out of the hole in the wall.
"Look what I caught in my trap," the voice she was being pulled toward sneered.
Keiko looked over and saw Hiroto, shit.
Aku ran out after her, pulling her katana out through a shadow, and quickly cut through the string, "Come on, come on!" her voice was serious.
Keiko jumped to her feet and sent a huge gust of wind to Hiro who braced against the attack, "They've ambushed us. We can't get out of here Hiro has made a barrier!"
If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
"What?!" Aku looked around and faintly saw the steel strings that blocked all route of escape, "Can you take him?"
Keiko nodded, "If you can take Ryuichi,"
Aku clenched her jaw, "We just need an opening,"
"I’m on it!" Keiko pushed off the ground with extra air and flew toward Hiro. If she could just get him to break the barrier, they could escape.
"Ryu!!! Take them out now!!" Hiro screamed as he began blocking the elemental’s attacks.
"Right!" Ryuichi punched his gloved fists together and sent sparks flying.
Aku looked at his gloves nervously, his anti-mutant weapon was a tricky one to battle against, and Keiko was fighting with her weakest element. It would be up to her battle with Ryuichi.
Ryu lunged forward first and bent down low to hit her in the ribs. She quickly moved to barely miss the attack and pushed her knee deep into the soft spot between his ribs. Ryu lurched at the impact and fell to the ground to catch his breath. Aku didn't waste anytime to continue her attack and jumped up to land a kick on his back as he coughed for air. Ryuichi quickly fell on his back and caught her ankle, burning it with his glove, and threw her across the field all the way into the barrier.
She turned to see Keiko's wrist get caught in one of Hiro's strings. Hiro send a current through it and she was jolted with a big burst of electricity but quickly knocked Hiro to the ground and freed herself from his grasp.
The two mutants quickly stood back to back and faced their opponents. Their breath was heavy and they both were determined to make it out as they were about to lunge for their enemies they felt the small bracelet around their wrist buzz. Keiko saw the message come up in her eyes thanks to the nerve connection from the omnibook and gasped at the message, "00- she's hit the distress button!" Without having time to react to the news, they were pushed back into battle, uncertain of what was going on.

Arisa stood, her nerves taking her as she stood in a darkened room. She took a deep and shaky breath as she stood face to face with someone she didn't expect, not that she wore her own face. Ping said that he didn't come directly! What have I done?
The tall man grinned wildly, a wooden sword draped over his shoulders, "So tell me Ping, how much did you bring for me this time?"
Arisa gulped hard in the face of the dealer, Kimaru....the dealer.
