Good morning me! I see you're just waking up as well. Well, lucky for you, you're about to have a brand new friend. Or family? I don't know, I don't care, I'm just here to 'Generate clone'!

Activating 'Generate Clone' using default genetics.

And as always, I'll try and ignore the inner organs of myself, and instead try and figure out how much progress you (clone #2) made. So, throw some moss or something in. Let's see how far we've gotten...

Wait, that's another rock. What are you doing with that... hey no! Stop touching that clone! They're still getting... printed. Fuck, why do eyes look like that. ughwghn.

Moss consumed. Biomass; 437.11g/1kg. Gained 0.007 xp.

Holy shit. That's a lot. Fuck, I should've done research before making a new clone.

Alright, I remember now. 'Extract DNA Base'

Activating 'Extract DNA Base'. Please designate amount of biomass you will extract from:

6.99 g of biomass, which should be...

Extracted 0.0699 g DNA Base from 6.99 g of Biomass.

And that should be enough...

Research Completed; Gene Extraction Learn to extract genes from stored genomes.

Alright, this opens up a lot of stuff. From what I understand, the process will be to first get genomes from stuff I absorb (such as a fly). Next, locate the genes in the genome, then decode what those genes do, and finally, extract the genes I want. And from there, I assume I can input the genes into my clones' genomes. Now I just need to figure out how to do all of that. But first, as always, check the research and active tab...

No, system, you can't just pass by that as if it didn't happen. What the fuck did you just do? Who was that? Wait, let me guess, it's the bastard who put me in a puddle, huh? They're the one behind the system, giving me these arbitrarily priced upgrades, aren't they?

Well whatever. I literally can't do anything about that. At least the arbitrary upgrade prices are easy enough to calculate. 40 g of biomass for 'Gene Editing', not that I know where to edit the genes yet.

OH FOR GOD'S SAKE

----------------------------------------

"Hello everybody, welcome to another season of 'Reincarnated as...'! This time, I had the wonderful idea of putting a human into a pond! Alright, now I know what you're thinking; 'this doesn't seem that interesting Mildova. Why didn't you just do another slime or skeleton or dragon?' To which I say, gosh you guys are uncreative. But since this show actually needs to be entertaining and not a koi pond livestream, I gave them an old creature creation system from like... 530 million years ago. Yep, the beta version of the Cambrion. Now, I did limit things and make some modifi-"

Crash

"Mildova you bastard"

"Oh, look, a guest! Say hello Hades, you're on 'Rei-"

"Shut up. Where's the soul? Where did you put that soul Mildova?"

"Now Hades, I have no idea what soul you're referring to. You'll have to be more specifi- urgh!"

"Do you understand how much you fucked up?"

"sorrysorrypleaseletmego..." hic

...

"Hello? Yeah, get Wukong in here to... vacation? Fine, then bring the long-armed one. Or someone who can handle Mildova. Sure, six ears will work. Alright, I'll try and fix this shit. Ugh, how old is this thing? It's like trying to read Russian medical cursive. Looks prehistoric even. I need to call Hermes. He's good at programming."

...

"Hades what the fuck am I reading?"

Pov; Clone 2

Turns out seeing the cloning process from outside is just as... weird. Not disgusting, you don't see any organs or anything. But it's more creepy. Like a mannequin that has too much... human-ness to it? Uncanny valley kind of thing, which I didn't know happened even when the human is in 32-bits.

Now, there's a minor problem now. I'm already done collecting all of the moss. No, not putting them in yet; I don't know what happens if we exceed the max capacity. Instead, there's a pile of moss a few steps away. based on how heavy they felt, I'd say it's about a kilogram. That's a lie. I don't actually know how heavy a kilogram actually is.

Though, the more I think about it, the less confident I am about the weight of that moss. I mean, moss is fairly sponge-like. And it's currently raining. So a good portion of that weight is definitely rain-water. But also, everything has water in general. How much of that, if any, counts towards biomass? And just as importantly, can I use that to cheat?

...Fuck. I just realized another problem. I can't talk. The other clone can't talk. How do we communicate? Really wish I took that sign language class in high school now. Not that I remember anything from high school, but still!

Alright, I guess I'll have to climb down this mountain to get more biomass. Either that or... do the clones count? Yeah, no, I'm not committing murder just to find that out. At least, not yet. There's plenty of other options. Though, I really don't want to climb while it's raining. I bet clone #1 slipped doing that.

Urgh, though I feel like we'll be able to test it soon enough. Not having a mouth means no eating or drinking. From what I remember, you can survive three days without water, three weeks without food. It's been a day. Damn, I feel like a mouthless moth.

...Well, maybe my corpse will attract flies? Yeah, that'll help.
