I used to have a simple job.  Just do all the paperwork, keep tabs on the appointments made, and make sure the palace isn’t too rowdy.  The Demon King was supposed to pretend to be a girl and find out the weakness of the Hero but despite how much they deny it, I can tell as clear as day. Heads over heels in love. “I know physical gender for succubi and incubi is easily changeable but you’ve been a guy for almost twenty years and now you’re turning into your girl form whenever you get a tiny bit excited talking about him. Please, don’t make my job harder than it already is…” Now I’ve got to tell everyone my boss is busy doing something really important and anyone who doesn’t buy that… I’ve got to beat down.  The people of the Shadowlands will resort to the phrase, “Strength is everything”, the moment things look like they aren’t going their way. Now I’m stuck with a web of lies and a gauntlet of fights; the former of which is frustrating and the latter is more tedious than anything else. Well, I’ll just spam moves from videogames until they give up.  I wish someone would get the references I throw out but there’s no hope for that... I’m sure that’ll work, there’s no way the Demon King and Hero will actually fall in love with each other, right? That’d be a huge headache for me.
