The talk with Nathan did impact Ryan, but as Ryan had just spent all his points, he couldn't immediately do anything about it.
After thinking about it for a while, Ryan decided to prioritize writing the Sherlock Holmes book instead of the horror script. As he felt it was faster to copy a novel than a script.
Script formatting took a considerable amount of time, while in novel writing, all he had to do was select the right font and type away.
The rest of the day was as regular as ever. Ryan's fear of Alex visiting his house wanting to talk did not come true.
As Ryan lay down on his bed, trying to catch some sleep, Ryan suddenly felt that he had forgotten about something.
Ryan then started going over his actions throughout the day to determine if he had missed something.
It soon hit Ryan. He had act forgotten to claim his weekly salary from the system.
Ryan - "System, I would like to claim my weekly salary."
[Weekly Salary of 4,800 has been claimed. Bring the total amount to 10,600 dollars.]
Ryan woke up the next day and headed to school like every other Friday morning, but what awaited him today might change his life.
Ryan attended classes just like yesterday, mostly in silence, and managed to outsmart Alex again and hide away during the lunch break.
Ryan's continuous hiding from her started getting on Alex's nerves to the point that she broke character and constantly talked to him during classes.
Alex whispered - "You won't be able to ignore me for long. I hope you know that, Ryan."
Ryan spoke, "Uh, sir can I use the washroom?"
David replied, "The class will end in just a few minutes. Can you wait until then?"
Ryan hurriedly spoke, "It's urgent, sir."
David replied, "Fine, you can go."
Ryan returned to the class only when he was sure everyone would have left. So he wasn't surprised to find his classroom empty.
The only issue was that the classroom was so empty that his bag had also gone missing. Ryan searched all over the class but couldn't find it.
This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.
Alex - "Looking for this?"
Ryan saw Alex standing at the classroom entrance holding his school bag in her hands. She entered the classroom, closed the door behind her, and headed toward Ryan.
Alex spoke, "Now that I have you corned, will you finally tell me why you have been avoiding me like I am some sort of a plague."
Ryan replied, "What avoidance? I never avoided you. I am just busy, is all."
Alex - "Bullshit. You won't even talk to me in class, yet you dare say that you haven't been avoiding me."
Ryan spoke, "Fine. I may have been avoiding you in the last two days."
Alex asked, "Why?"
Ryan replied, "It's due to what happened the other day when I was at your house."
Alex replied, "I knew it. You started avoiding me because my dad shot you, and you think I am from some crazy family."
Ryan - "No, not that you know I confessed to you, but you didn't give me any response."
Alex paused briefly before replying, "Oh, I see that."
Ryan - "Yeah."
Alex and Ryan stood in an empty classroom in silence, creating a very awkward situation.
Alex spoke, "Okay, as things have come down to this. I will give you a response."
Alex then confessed to Ryan that she also had a crush on him when they first met, but as it was the first time a boy had confessed to her, she wasn't sure how to react.
Getting a positive response Ryan was delighted and replied, "That's a relief, but I still think we should get to know each other more before starting to officially date."
Alex replied, "Yes, I also think I need to know you better before we start dating."
With this, things went back to normal between Ryan and Alex. It also marked the closure of an eventful school day for Ryan.
What surprised Ryan the most was that this conversation somehow credited him with 10,000 points.
Ryan just barely managed to control himself from spending these points by constantly reminding himself of the sky-high prices he saw in the system mall.
He knew very well that stopping himself from his growing addiction of constantly spending points was the right thing to do.
As if it went on like this, he probably never be able to get his hands on any of the big blockbusters. Hell, at the rate he was going affording a show with more than three seasons seemed like a pipe dream.
The day passed by, and the date came to 26th September 2009, a Saturday.
Every weekend Ryan switches up things as the time from 8:30am to 3pm assigned for a school can be used however he wants.
Ryan could study if he liked, write scripts if he desired, maybe play some street ball if he wanted, and you get the gist.
He was free to do as his heart desired. For this weekend, Ryan decided to try to integrate into Dunphy's lives.
His original plan was just to hang out once a week during the episode plot and earn points, but now he wanted to make his presence more known.
Due to reasons, I will not mention. Otherwise, people might accuse me of increasing the water in this novel for word count.
Reader - "Foolish Author, by saying that sentence, didn't you just write more words than explaining that it was due to his newfound love for Alex."
Author - "You know what? I am going to make this conversation a part of the chapter. What you going to do now?"
Reader - "Does that means your breaking the 4th Dimension?"
Author - "Who knows how many dimensions I just broke?"
You - "Damn, that whole chapter was cringe."
You read the above line and look behind to find the Author standing behind you with a knife. The Author then proceeds to stab you.
Author - "It's not like I get paid to write. I can do whatever I want."
