Serpent Strike

A sharp pop rang out around the room as she was taken aback by the handheld cannon's recoil, the bullet ripping through silence as it pierced through a cardboard target in the distance. She was used to controlling the push back of an assault rifle and can manage a steady shot with a sniper's 7.62x51. But trying to burst fire a behemoth of a pistol developed by an idiot who thought that having a handgun fire a higher caliber round than the average assault rifle was a different story. Though though the first few rounds Wraith would fire, she would finally understand why their recruits finally surged to test the weapon in the firing range, the feeling of controlling a beast of a handgun in their own hands was simply unmatched. Wraith would eject another magazine as she loaded one final set of rounds to send down range, planning to maintain her pin-point accuracy. Between the deafening cracks between each pull of the trigger, she could make out the muffled thuds of a pair of footsteps approach.

"You know, sneaking up on someone with a gun in their hands isn't exactly the best idea."

"Isn't that Specter's job? He does it every other day."

"Fair, fair. What brings you back to the range, another go at the course? Looking to take back your record?"

"It's about that agent you captured the other day, the woman the MCD needed out of the picture."

"What about her? Kill a guard and escape?"

"No, of course not, they're not incompetent enough to let the recruits near the prisoners. That MCD representative, the one that's been hanging around our facility for the last few days, he's taken the chance to interrogate her. And you know how they try these things back at the apartment."

"She didn't mutter anything valuable to me when I held a knife to her throat, the hell's he going to try?"

"Well, that's why I'm coming to you. Hopefully you can reason something out of the two of them."

"Mhm, I have some ideas."

Wraith ejects the freshly loaded magazine and racks back the slide as she places the Desert Eagle for the next person to try out. Turning back she follows closely behind Crystal as he leads her towards their prisoner cells. Plans begin to formulate in her head as she reaches for her side, withdrawing a combat knife and inspecting it closely. A thick handle and razor sharp blade that could cut through fabric with ease. Wraith shakes her head as she slides the knife back into the sheath, hoping she could get through the Serpent's will without spilling any blood.

"Say, Crystal. How come the MCD's not telling us about any of this? Who these 'Serpents' are, what they wanted us to guard back at the convoy, the people working with Igneous."

"Eh, they're a shadow corporation of questionable legality that only desires material wealth. Best guess would be a simple issue of trust or greed."

"Only willing to give us information if we went on a few errands for them, right? Who's to say we can even trust these guys?"

"So long as Igneous, their allies, or even those 'Serpents' keep some sort influence in this region, they'll be a considerable thorn in their side. They're going to need some help from us, we'll be fine for the time being."

"Of course, of course. We'll just have to see where the tides take us."

She pauses as Crystal swipes a keycard on a scanner, unlocking the adjacent stainless metal door as he pushes it open. Stepping through she's greeted by a small security checkpoint as they enter another sector to the facility. The presence of multiple guards and suited agents who appear to command an aura of authority suggesting they've stepped foot into their Operational Sector. Whereas anything involving the various jobs and operations resides, their Overwatch's control room, briefing rooms, temporary storage for their requisitioned items and goods, and most importantly their holding cells for captured agents.

"Greetings, sir, another operation so soon?"

"Negative, we have an interrogation to attend to."

"Affirmative."

He nods as Crystal as they both pass through. The Operational Sector was unusually active as their superiors shuffled about doing something remotely useful for once, and for good reason, as their recent engagements with TWO new organizations in span of a single week has startled them. The two of them turned a few corners as they travelled deeper within the sector, pacing through the labyrinth-like facility with ease and confidence. Crystals stops at another metal door as he swipes a keycard through a scanner once more. To their expectations the door unlocks as he pushes it open, after all, they essentially had near unrestricted access to the majority of the facility. Closing the door behind her, she's greeted by a corridor flanked by two rows of keycard doors to its side.

They walk for a few moments before stopping at a door labeled, 'PC-07'.

"Alright, here we are. Hope you've got something persuasive in mind."

Looking past Crystal, she peeks through a one sided window to see their representative attempting to pressure the captured agent into talking.

"28 burn wounds, you didn't want to leave him-"

She tunes out as she notices the seated woman sitting near emotionless, not caring for what the MCD representative had to say.

"Agent, any progress on the interrogation?"

"Negative, the man hasn't managed to get a single word of substantial information out from her."

"Expected. I'm having Wraith try her hand at this," he turns towards Wraith, "Give me a moment," before entering the room and trying to order the man out.

The man observing the interrogation with a notepad and pencil turned back to Wraith, "And I suppose you're Wraith?"

"Mhm,"

"Here," he hands Wraith a small file, "The company gave it to us when they heard we had her in a cell. I'm sure you can make something out of it."

Opening the files, her eyes begin sweeping the page for anything that could give her a bargaining chip or upper-hand. At first she was greeted a simple biography, an estimator age, gender, organization allegiance, basic appearance, nothing special. Though she pauses as she notes down a 'connections' section, whereas her contacts and associated people laid. Wraith hands back the file with a faint grin.

"She's a fucking menace, do you have any idea how many millions she's cost us! The amount of training's gone to waste because of that occult shit-"

"Enough, you and her are under our facility and in our jurisdiction. Stay seated and observe." He nods at Wraith as he pulls the man out.

She takes the chance and steps inside, pacing slowly towards the table in the middle. She takes a seat and takes a look over at the woman sat in front of her.

"Certainly found yourself in a predicament, hmm?"

She stays silent.

"Silence? Good play. Let's start simple, shall we? Who are you?"

She continue to stay in silence, glancing up briefly to see who was attempting to interrogate her.

"I'm just asking a basic question here, we've already got plenty on you documented down., I'm sure they won't mind a refresher. So let's try again, who are you?"

She looks up and glares at Wraith, "I lead the Serpents in this area, and you best let me go if you want to be spared their wrath."

"Ah, wonderful, we're finally heading somewhere. These so call 'Serpents', what might you be leading them around for? What do you hope to achieve?"

"You have no idea what you're getting yourself into, do you?" She spoke in a tone of warning.

"Mmm, maybe we do, maybe we don't. I'll ask once more, what are you trying to achieve here, what is your ultimate objective?"

"Freedom."

"Freedom? From here?"

"No."

"What is this 'freedom' to you? Some sort of afterlife? Transcending? Awakening?"

"Yes."

"Care to elaborate?"

She stays silent, confirming her refusal to speak on the matter any further.

Wraith sighs, "Well, we're not going anywhere at this pace. Let's try something else."

Wraith stops for a moment before reaching for her side, pulling out an ornate and decorated knife. Made out of an unknown material and of different design compared to their fixed combat blades.

"I'm sure you recognize this dagger, we took it straight from you. Though we happened to find similar models on the bodies of those reinforcements." She takes a deeper look into the knife, turning it and inspecting each inch of detail, "Strange markings you've got here, they hold any importance to your objective or 'Serpents' you lead?"

"You wouldn't understand, still."

"We have plenty of time for you to explain."

"We'll do anything to free those under the Jailor's oppressive rule."

"There you go being cryptic again. Who are these Jailors you speak about? Who are they oppressing?"

She remains silent.

"Listen to me, I can clearly see the MCD's not exactly on the best terms with your little posse. After all, they sent out a hit squad after you," she smirks, "I would know. And these 'Serpents', you and these underlings seem to be significant to each other in someway. They threw themselves into the lobby to your aid. We aren't exactly aligned with the corporation either, I can help you get out of this. I just need you to talk."

"My Serpents can handle themselves just fine, they know what to do, they can work independently."

"Y'know, since that incident, it's attracted the attention of a few groups. Your file suggests you're hostile to some sort of organization you call the 'Madmen'. I'm sure they'll send a few agents knocking about."

"My men work in the dark, they'll never find them."

"Is that so? Then how come we've got files on some of them? If a corporation dedicated to greed and PMC that apparently has 'no idea what they're getting themselves into' knows of your colleagues, who's to say a group dedicated to fighting you wouldn't?"

"Lies and deceit, you know nothing of my work." She pays more of her attention to Wraith, looking up and narrowing her eyes deeply on her as a scowl developed on her mouth."

"Is that so? Feel free to stop me if any of this sounds familiar. Ahem. A college student studying Mythology drops out shortly before going missing in their Freshmen year. Their brother also conveniently going missing at the time. Reports say the former was speaking with a hooded and mysterious woman beforehand, the hooded figure unfortunately being never identified," she pauses and looks at the woman in front of her, "You wouldn't know anything about that, would you?"

Her eyes widen as her scowl begins to disappear, a barely visible faint look of shock on her face developing, "How the hell did you-"

She continues, despite the woman's protests, "Two figures matching their descriptions came up only a month later, being involved in a firefight with an undocumented company's armored truck," she giggles for a moment before looking up at the woman, "Did I mention this was only two months ago-"

"Enough!" she attempts to lash out at the woman, but fails as her hands were cuffed and she was bound to the bolted down chair, "They're just fresh recruits, I'll have you all killed if you lay even a single cut on them!"

"Ah, don't worry about that, the Ervna Security Company has the people's best interests in mind. Though, I suppose the MCD or 'Madmen' aren't as ... kind hearted as us. But, I'm sure we'd get to work for a sizable payout of materials, cash, or perhaps, information?"

She mutters a curse under her breath, what she could have said was unintelligible to her, she'd never heard any language matching or close to what the woman had said.

"Listen, please. Just keep those two safe, those two and you don't have any clue what they're getting themselves into. I'd at least like those two to not pay harshly for their naiveness."

"Now we're talking. Now in exchange, you would-"

"I'll tell you! Just get them to safety!"

"I'll see to it a new operation today. Thank you for your cooperation."

She sits up from her chair and grabs the ornate knife with her, walking towards the interrogation room's exit, she pauses a step before the door and turns back.

Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings.

"One thing, though. We can't exactly contact them with their nonexistent radios, but I'm sure they've got a phone and a number. And finally, what do they normally call you?"

She looks up at Wraith and dismisses any scowl, steadfast will, or anger from her face. She doesn't smile or grin, but it was a step up from the previous interrogation's result.

"They call me-"

Mission Briefing

"Another day, another critical operation, eh Crystal? Now I'm normally not the person briefing you, but I'll try to keep it brief. Intel from the MCD suggests a pair of brothers under the lead Serpent's command. Fresh recruits, it seems. She seems to care somewhat for this pair, wishing for their survival in exchange for some information. Though we must work fast, further MCD intel suggests they're meeting with a contact with the 'Madmen'. They'd met several times before, but we have reason to believe this may be one final trap for them. I'll contact them and try to lead them towards your squad's location, get the pair in a car and get them out. One final thing, Ervna isn't directly overseeing this operation, we might not get support or reinforcement if things go south, good luck."

A quiet breeze rang through the streets of Lethbridge City, a small mundane town that has barely passed a population of 100,000. It was the late evening as activity began beginning to come to a halt, businesses closed down as homes were populated once more. The roads were completely devoid of any motor vehicles or pedestrians, all aside from two mysterious individuals walking aside the road in the 'rougher' parts of the city. The shorter of the two was an anxious mess, his eyes pacing around the empty buildings as he fidgeted with a small sack in his hands. A small sack of which could be felt to contain something razor sharp and edging out. Through his thick scarf and several layers of clothing, both to stave off the cold and conceal his identity, he spoke out to the taller figure.

"T-Toby, are you sure about this?"

"You've got nothing to worry about, Tom. The Insurgency's our friend, they've followed through on each favor we'd carried out for them."

"But didn't she say-"

"She doesn't have to know. Those," he exaggerates his next word with verbal air-quotes, "Madmen have been decent to us this entire time, haven't they? Never exchanged a single bullet."

"I trust her."

"I trust her too, maybe a few incidents have muddled the water between her view somewhat." Toby would respond, who was much more composed than his younger and shorter brother. Walking with a confident stride as he dragged his younger brother with him.

They continued to pace for a few more minutes, embracing the calm and peaceful breeze through the street. Toby suddenly halts his younger brother as they stop by an inconspicuous alley.

"Here we are, just follow my lead and you'll turn out just fine."

Tom nods at Toby as the latter took the lead and stepped in first. The alley was wide enough to fit three of them side by side, but he'd remain behind Toby as he let him do his work. Slowing down by a recently emptied dumpster, he glances around the corner and sees a figure leaned up against a wall, covering himself with a skull bandana and a thick, black jacket.

"Sup! We've got your stuff- Uh-"

The figure looks up at the duo, pausing for a moment as he tries to seemingly tries to come up with something in his mind, "Delta, it's Delta."

"Well then, Delta." He nudges Tom, who hands him the small bag, "We got what you needed from that facility. Nearly got caught by a patrol for this."

Delta takes the bag and places it on the dumpster's closed lid, loosening its tie and taking a gander at the objects within. He was greeted by the shine of several glistening crystals, each glowing with a deep crimson red. He looks up at Toby, who tilts his head inquisitively and inquires.

"So, how's bout' it? We've fulfilled our end, and you?"

Delta nods and motions towards a pair of duffel bags laying next to him, "Your goods should be in there, feel free to take them both. Should have a good chunk of money in one of them, other should have some," he pauses, "Err, anomalous(?) items. I'm sure you've got a use for them."

Toby grabs one of the bags and hands them off to Tom, lifting the other bag to the dumpster and taking a peek within. Inside were various anomalous scrolls and gems. Some may believe them to have been ancient artifacts or novelty items, but Toby knew the true arcane capabilities of the objects. Looking to his side, he saw Tom gazing within the other bag, enamored by a massive amount of various Canadian and U.S currency. Toby zips the duffel bag back up as he slings it over his back, his brother does the same and holds it by the straps. As they turn to leave, they're interrupted as Delta begins to speak up.

"Say, would you two be interested in another job? I understand this was supposed to be our last meeting, but a new shipment of goods just came in, and we still have some unfinished work to be done," he pauses for a moment, "You'll be paid handsomely."

Toby takes a moment to deliberate before being nudged by his shoulder from Tom, he glances to the worried Serpent who speaks up, "We've already finished our work with them, we've got what we needed, we should leave."

"I mean, previous job's have been trivial, haven't they? He's suggesting some sizable payments for this last job."

"Aren't the Jailors going to get suspicious soon? We've been hanging around that site for a while now."

"I trust the Insurgency can cover our tracks."

"Toby, please, just trust me. Something about this just doesn't sit right with me."

Toby sits silent for a moment, staring as his paranoid little brother, "Fine," he turns back to Delta and raises his voice as so he could listen in, "That's going to be a no from us."

"Hmph, what a shame."

Stepping out of the alley with the duffle bags on them, Toby is alerted as hears a PTSD inducing ring from his back pocket. As he pulls out his phone he sees an unknown caller attempting to contact him. Seeing no harm in satiating his curiosity, he answers the call and puts the phone to his ear.

"You've reached Toby, what can I for ya?"

"Listen closely, Serpent. You are being hunted down and your life is currently in grave danger. Heed my advice closely and I'll get you out of there."

"W-Who the hell are you?" Toby was taken aback by the seemingly empty threat.

"Someone who has Rebecca's best interests at heart."

From behind him he hears a handgun being drawn and racked back, quickly glancing back he sees Delta raising a fully automatic Glock-18 towards them.

"What a shame indeed."

Wraith

"Wraith, Crystal to Wraith. Got anything over there?"

"Affirmative, visuals on two figures approaching the alley."

"Our targets?"

"One target confirmed, brown hair, tall posture, blue eyes. Second figure unconfirmed, concealed by a scarf and hood. He's holding a bag in his hands, biography of being shorter would also match up."

"Affirm," Crystal pauses his speech but doesn't disable his receiver, "Uh, Wraith, have you considered your position over there?"

"What do you mean? I've got a decent visual over here."

"We're far from that address, you're not going to have vision on them for long."

"Heh, don't worry about that, Hephaestus and I have been working together to create something special," she giggles for a moment, a child-like excitement taking over her for a moment as she held a device in her hands, "Been waiting to test this out for ages."

"You ... haven't tested it yet?"

"Hephaestus made it, it'll work fine."

Crystal sighs, "This is why we don't let you field test explosives, or anything for that matter."

"Just trust me," she pauses as she uses her sniper's scope to scout the area, "They're moving into the alley, seems to be meeting with their contact. I'll start calling them."

She waited in fated breath as the two stood around in the alley, conversing and negotiating with the contact. Or at least that's what she saw, their contact was looking in her direction and she wouldn't dare compromise herself with a sniper scope's glare. One of the brothers, Toby it seemed by the exposed hair, took some sort of dark object from the ground. He interacted with the object in some form before slinging it over his back and beginning to leave, the pair of brothers and contact appear to exchange goodbyes before heading off. Just in time for her to call them up.

"You've reached Toby, what can I do for ya?"

"Listen closely, Serpent. You are being hunted down and your life is currently in grave danger. Heed my advice closely and I'll get you out of there."

"W-Who the hell are you?" The voice responded in an alarmed voice.

"Someone who has Rebecca's best interests at heart," She'd respond to Toby, smiling that she got through the Serpent leader's ironed will.

As she begins to calm down, Wraith was immediately brought back to attention as she barely makes out the sounds of a handgun being pulled from over the phone. She grabs the sniper laying to her side and hastily took aim. Wrath doesn't take any time to readjust her aim as she instantly fires the moment her scope crosses over the masked man behind the duo.

"Holy shit-"

"This is Crystal to Wraith! Armored car just sped by us, they're headed to you!"

"Affirm," she turns to the phone, "You've got incoming, follow my orders and I'll get you to safety. Grab his pistol and start moving. For now, start moving West, left of the alley."

The taller of the two reached for the body and pulled the handgun from its dead hands, rummaging around for a couple magazines. Shortly after they began to make pace down the streets, sticking to the sides as they remained near cover. As they neared the other end of the street, the 'Madmen' were no where to be found, but she knew they would come out of her sight soon. Believing it's time to instate a special project, she grabs the small device and boots it to life. The hum of the machine slowly awakening as she felt a faint vibration from its innerworkings. At last, she was greeted by an aerial view of the city, as well as a small crosshair in the center of the screen. She would hold the controls to a UAV armed with an assault rifle jury-rigged to a box of roughly 500 rounds of ammunition. Flying high above in the skies and camouflaged against the blue horizons, it was nigh undetectable to any sensible operative trying to avoid being shot by the threat directly in front of them.

"Look up one second, you see anything?"

"No?"

"Good, continue down the road."

Satisfied with the drone's stealth capabilities, she begins scouting the road ahead for any threats to the brother. Her eyes focusing in as an armored vehicle rears around the streets, armed with a mounted gun as it would prove too fortified for any small arms to lash out any considerable damage.

"You've got an armored car coming your way, you won't be able to fend it off. Head into those alleys and try to lose them."

The brothers glanced around the are for a moment before sidestepping into a dark alley, barely illuminated as walls cloaked sunlight. It would prove no challenge for her UAV as she could switch to an attached thermal camera, ideal for tracking down any hidden agents.

"Out of the alley? Good. Get to the other side of the road and stick to the shadows. I'll keep em' distracted."

Turning her sights onto the recently arriving armored car, she unleashes a burst of fire from her UAV. It would do nothing but dent the fortified vehicle, but would surely alarm the occupants within. To her expectations, the scout flags its turreted MG around as it fires wildly, trying to pin down whatever might had shot them. Some bullets strike near her position, but she remains calm and collected as she knows they won't be able to find her. Though a sickening worry would plague her for a brief second as realizes their foe has the resources to throw armored vehicles freely around in a public space. Her attention would be quickly redirected as she hears the sounds of gunshots from her phone.

"Shit! They just tried to drive-by us!"

"Hold in cover, retreat safely if you can, getting some support over to you."

Even if it was only down the street, her drone was a military-class UAV and as such was able to soar through the skies with resounding speeds. Her eyes would catch sight of a decelerating speeding vehicle in the matter of seconds, its occupants starting to disembark. Focusing in the crosshair, she takes aim the best she could from several thousand feet in the air. As one of the figures exit the vehicle, she fires another burst of bullets. Two bullets meet their mark and strike the target's head and arm as the other two fly into the ground around him. The other operatives take cover behind the car, assuming the gunshots were from the pair they were perusing, she laughs as they only make themselves an easier stationary target. She fires another couple rounds at one of the crouched agents, easily taking him as it tears through his thin helmet and skull. The other jumps back into the car as they speed away from the 'fire fight'.

"Armor's going to be reinforcing that area pretty quickly, get a move on!"

She watched as the two swiftly glided through the alleys, navigating with relative ease as they ran past corner after corner and darting through empty streets.

"You seem familiar with his place, got experience running from the police?"

"Grew up here, have to know the city as a labyrinth if you want to survive a life like this."

"Good on you, you'll need those skills if you want to escape those 'Madmen'."

"Insurgency, they're the Chaos Insurgency."

"Huh, so they were withholding information from us." Wraith mutters to herself, contemplating their relations with the MCD. She turns back to the cellphone, "If you live through this, mind telling us a bit about them?"

"If?"

"Nevermind that, just keep moving, you're on the right path-"

As the pair leap out of the alley and into the street, they just as quickly leap back in as another armored car races down the street.

"Wha- Where did they get another car? Other way, we're making a detour."

"No need, I've got an idea."

"It's an armored car and you haven't got any explosives on you, you NEED to run."

She watches in bewilderment as the two took cover by the alley's corner, they appear to prepare to engage the scout car despite their lack of any anti-tank gear. A momentary flashback ran through her mind as she sees one of the brothers holding their hand out in the same fashion as their initial engagement with Rebecca, a bright shine glowing as the thermals pick up on a raging heat from his hand.

"What are you try-"

Her bewilderment would quickly transition into shock and awe as he threw his hand out at the armored vehicle, it erupts into a ball of hellfire and inferno.

"What the fu- Nevermind, just keep moving."

Wraith moves the UAV away from the blind fireball as she scouts ahead for the duo.

"Glory," Wraith muttered to herself, "Imagine what I could do with that power."

"Crystal to Wraith, ya hear us?"

"Mhm, what's the situation over there?"

"We've been had by hostile forces, currently engaged in fighting. I hear sirens in the distance, police is going to get involved soon."

"Protect yourself and the vehicle at all costs. Command's going to be pissed if we get civilian casualties on our hands, but if worse comes to worst, free fire authorized."

"Understand, but we're pinned down, we need some support over here!"

"Copy that, I'll be with you in a moment," she switches from her radio to her phone, "Toby, come in, come in. You'll be going without fire support for a while, think you can handle it?"

"Did you not see what I pulled back there?"

"Naturally, make your way to the nearby theater, they'll be waiting for you there."

Wraith begins to divert the UAV away from the brothers as she soars it towards the eruption of gunfire from the theater. As several vehicles came into view, she cruised around the area for a moment to identify her colleagues. An unmarked vehicle sat by the sidewalk with two of her colleagues nearby, crouched down as they attempted to return fire at the two vehicles that had pulled up. She grins as she sees some of the hostile agents grouping up, making for an easy target as she unleashes a barrage of automatic fire.

"The hell was that?" Crystal flinched as several rounds struck the Earth with the force of a lightning bolt, immediately dropping the operatives in front of him.

"Your air support."

"Ervna's not watching over this operation, the fuck you mean air support?"

"Later, I'll show you back at base."

"Of course."

She fires one final burst before returning to Tom and Toby, determining the situation calm enough for her colleagues to handle. Scanning the area for the pair of serpents, she's taken aback once more as another blazing fireball erupts from the alley. A charred corpse is all that remains as a group of insurgents fled the area, only to be gunned down by her UAV.

"Hot damn, you should be about fifty meters out. Their forces should be waning now, this is the home stretch."

"Understood."

"The hell did you do to attract the attention of four entire squads?"

"Tying up loose ends?"

"They're creating a hell of lot more with this strike."

She pauses as she fires another burst at a lone operative she'd missed during her initial clean up.

"I think I went overkill on this thing," Wraith remarks to herself as she notices the excess of ammo the UAV had remaining. Plenty enough to raise hell on any unlucky remaining agents. She pressed firmly on the trigger as the UAV's sight glossed over the soldiers cowering behind each insurgent vehicle, not caring for aim or precision. Taking a moment to pause her hellfire, she notices Tom and Toby beginning to near Crystal and Prometheus' location. Wraith quickly checks in with the both of them to prevent filing their second blue-on-blue incident this month.

"Crystal, VIP targets are moving from your rear flank," she switches to her phone, "Oi, Toby. Friendlies taking cover up ahead, don't singe them in a fireball."

Thankfully, neither parties engage with each other. Having been saved by an angel from above, Crystal quickly gets to work as he slides into the car's driver seat. His colleague and the pair of brothers seem to understand what to do as the three of them rush into the unmarked Toyota.

"Now then, get out of there before the police arrives. They've still got an armored car in the area, take a U-Turn and get the hell out of dodge."

"Don't you need a ride too?"

"I've got my own ways to exfil. But for now, mission complete."

Mission Debrief

Operational Status: Success | VIP Targets safely recovered.

Casualties: 0

Summary: In exchange for information, agents Wraith, Crystal, and Prometheus would deploy into Lethbridge City to ensure the protection and safe evacuation of two VIP targets under Rebecca's command. Significant resistance would be noted as several squadrons and armored cars would intercept the VIPs. Use of an experimentally armed UAV would be employed by Wraith to act as air support for the far outnumbered agents.

"It appears Igneous' backer may be an organization known as the Chaos Insurgency, Toby and Tom seems to familiar with this Insurgency, having preformed several favors in exchange for various materials. It appears the MCD may be withholding information from us." - Wraith's closing remarks

"What the fuck, we didn't approve of this. When the hell did she get a UAV?" - Fotia, designated Overwatch of the Apochrosi squadron
