Magic, what a wonderful concept, to be able to create something from nothing, or to manipulate existing material as you wish. But, what is magic? This is a question the people have asked for a long time. What is magic? Many philosophers, great scholars, giants, elves, humans, all races have considered this. So far, the only thing theyd come up to, is that they dont know much. Magic, is divided into 5 genres, wich are divided into further subgenres. Gara, gathering energy into your body, and strengthening it in different ways. Gara can be divided into hundreds of sub genres, but the main concept is to use energy outside of your body, to enchance the inside of your body. Using Gara, you can infuse your body with the energy of the world, but you sacrifice your life energy. Every day you use Gara, your lifetime get's decreased by one day. If you live to be thousands of years old and use Gara, you will only get to live for half the time you should. Gara strengthens your body, and every time you use Gara, the amount you can infuse into your body increases. But so does the risk, your body automatically absorbs energy if you use Gara, including toxic energy. Sacra, slightly unorthodox, Sacra uses other living beings life energy to feed your own. Sacra can be used in millions of ways, it can increase your life time by stealing others. Strengthening yourself by stealing others strength. It is mayorly frowned upon to use Sacra, but it can be any living being like insects. So it is tolerated, and taught. Crata, unlike Sacra and Gara wich both mainly focus on strengthening your body, Crata is the concept of creating energy. It is unknown how it is possible, to create something out of nothing, and there are a number of theories. It is largely believed that Crata is a mix between Gara and Sacra, you use your own energy to produce more energy, wich you use to cast spells. The energy residue is absorbed and reused to create more, wich infinitely increases the users potential. Crata is the most common out of all five. Macra, similar to sacra it sacrifices energy, but not living beings. Macra steals the energy from material, like metal ores, but also wood, wood is technically alive, but not at the same time. What is used as a sacrificial energy, is not the life energy, but the material itself. The material is a bunch of atoms, forming a net, and building up the material. By sacrificing the atoms, it allows the user to create new ones, the user can change a piece of wood to stone, if enough is sacrificed. Macra can store the energy absorbed, and be used to infuse an item with magic, or to use at a critical juncture. Macra is the most suitable type of magic to use for item crafting. The energy, is stored inside of your body, it's like a vessel that increases size, and that energy can be transferred from your body's vace, to a swords vace, or axe's. Anyone, can learn any genre of magic, you can even learn out of different genres and combine them. There are subgenres that are a mix between all of them, except the fifth one. The fifth one, is extremely unorthodox, and is prohibited, but is still nonetheless a magic genre. Sisha, discovered 1000 years ago by an evil mage, there are very few cases of using it. By using the method of Sacra, you can sacrifice livingbeings, after you have stolen all of the energy, you sacrifice a bit of your own. This energy is mixed with the energy you recieved, you then infuse this energy into a suitable corpse. The corpse will revive, and become living again, there have only been 3 recorded incidents of this happening, each one being a calamity. The first time, a thousand years ago, the evil mage awakened his dead brother, and experimented on him. He sent his brother to a town, where the brother massacred every civillian in that town, absorbing all of their energy, the undead brother strengthened himself. The evil mage also grew stronger for every kill of his brother, together they eradicated 250 000 people in total. In the end, the evil mage was killed, and the brother imprisoned, undergoing experimets to date. The second incident, was 300 years ago, when a mage found the library of the evil mage, the mage was very interessted, and introduced the idea that this may be a new revolutionary way to use magic. But his boss rejected him, and even fired him for his proposition. The mage, obsessed did all kinds of unorthodox research. Eventually he reached a consensus, and created something much more terrifying then the evil mage. He made an abomination, he mixed the bodyparts of a leviathan, a dragon, a kraken, and a hydra. He succeded in creating an abomination, that immediately killed him. The abomination was unkillable, as it's heads would always regrow, it was extremely fast in water despite its size as huge as a city. Making the entire world shake, it killed over 3 milion people, until it was finnaly captured alive. Out of those 3 million, 1 million was mages sacrificed to capture it. The third, and final documented case, is the case of Valkyria. Valkyria, was a famous mage, one of the strongest known to mankind. He had lived through both the abomination, and the evil mage a thousand years ago. Approaching the end of his life, he started doing research on the matter. Despite him making the lowest amount of casualties, this was the most feared case. It is unknown how, but he succeded in sacrificing his own life energy, to revive himself after his death, it succeded, but when he recently awokened, he realized his life energy wasn't enough. The ressurection had corrupted him, he gathered the brightest minds, the elite of the elite, the best mages in the world, and sacrificed them. 2000 amazing mages, was sacrificed. Valkyria is now imprisoned in a secret facility, it was only through his concent he was able to be captured. To this day, he is willingly locked up in the facillity, and has not caused any problems. There are some exceptions to these 5 genres, like teleportation. It neither uses Gara or Crata. It uses a specific technique to execute a specific command if a specific thing happens. For example, teleport the person on this device if he inserts magic to ______ ______ ______ ______. It is not only used in teleportation though.
This is the general uses of magic, but it can be combined in a huge amount of ways. Every single person in the world, has a different kind of magic, wich is unique to them. There has never been two mages with the exact same type of magic, and never will be. Everyone in the world has an equal chance, no one is born with talent in this world. No one can learn faster than others, the only difference between people is how much they are born with. Some are born with nothing, and some are born stronger than others will ever be. But everyone has to put in an equal amount of effort to learn. If someone puts in more effort than others, they will learn more than others. Outside material can strengthen your talent, but this is frowned upon and very few people do so. The different kingdoms, have national magic, wich is unique to their kingdom. Usually the royals use this kind of magic, and the court officials. As an example, Zygeria manipulates the trees around them to protect them, they can feel every part of the forest, and use the forest as protection. Or the dwarves, that use their magic to create the hardest steel by absorbing the energy from the caves they live in. All of the kingdoms use different types of magic.

Zygeria, yong-am hosu, injeog jabon, Kyojin no tochi and Kokyū suru ki. They all constantly try to improve their strength, riches, influence. In all of the kingdoms, There are the six pillars. The six pillars are the six main religions. The six religions believe in six different Gods, the God of light, the God of darkness, the God of fire, the God of water, the God of earth, and the God of air. The Gods grant the believers a chance, to use a unique kind of magic, wich different from ordinary magic, gives different people different amount of talent. But gives all of the specific Gods believers use a specific type of magic. Each pillar is divided into six ranks, common worshipper, priest, bishop, temple guards, grand guard, and the pope. The ranks are decided by how strong the person is. A tournament is held each year to get new worshippers, priests, bishops, temple guards, a new grand guard, and a new pope. Worshippers are elected from a group of trainees every year, anyone can join one of the six pillars, even if they don't believe in the Gods. Faith is not necessary. There are three doctrines, that the believers follow, you shall believe in your own strength, anyone can gain the strength of God, whether they believe in him or not, and one shall gain what they worketh for. The amount of effort, and work you put in, shall be equally rewarded. In the public's eye, there are three ways to have a good future. To join one of the six pillars, to get into a good academy of the kingdoms, or to have immense natural strength. If you get into an academy or one of the six pillars, you will gain strength, you don't have to have much strength originally. But to join one of the six pillars, you need luck, and if you want to join an academy you need to be very knowledgeable. But the third alternative is the worst, to have natural strength, you need to be lucky at birth, your strength is not predetermined, but your original strength is. So most citizens take their chances on one of the six pillars, which gives them a constant influx of new worshippers. This is the public reason for the six pillars' continued existence throughout the eons.
In this world filled with different races, after thousands of years of war, there were only five ruling factions on the continent of Zerba remaining. The Zutage Empire, the capital of humans, The Dwarven Kingdom, Khugari. The land of Giants, the kingdom of Wuitha, The great dynasty of the Elves, Teletus. And lastly, the great Zygeria empire, the home of the treants. Except for these five factions, there were 6 pillars and the exiled lands.
The exiled lands, the blank spaces of the continent. No living creature has been able to return from the exiled lands. Some people go there to explore in solitude or to get achievements, and return as the first to return. But it's used as land for the exiles of the kingdoms. People who have murdered, committed treason against the authorities, or stolen from the aristocracy, will be exiled. The exiled lands are also called names like the land of darkness, the land of death, or the land of the cursed. Most people would rather die than be sent to the exiled lands, there are many cases of people killing themselves before being exiled.
27th day of the 25th month year 36xxxxx, a prince was born in the Zutage empire. The emperor had been awaiting this day for a long time, a lot of treasures had been sacrificed to strengthen the newborn prince. But, when he was put through the measuring devices, it seemed like he had no talent at all. The emperor, furious, discarded the newborn prince. He left him to low-ranking maids to take care of. He insisted that it shall be known, that the prince died during birth. And that the prince shall live in the old house of the queen. The prince was taken away and taken care of by the maids. As the prince grew up, the maids lied to him about his past. Whenever he asked, they said that his father was a noble that abandoned him and that they found him and saved him. 2 months after the prince was born in the Zutage empire, a princess was born in the dwarven kingdom. The king was immediately ashamed to have a daughter, and could tell at a glance she would be a useless blacksmith. The king, afraid his reputation would be tarnished, and his bloodline questioned, abandoned his daughter. He asked an old friend of his in another faction take care of her. He asked her to teach her something else, and not tell her of her past. Half a year later, a princess was born in the kingdom of Wuitha. The giants prided themselves in their huge bodies, with immense strength and magic, but the princess was a mere 1 metres tall as a newborn. A normal healthy baby would at least be 7 metres tall in the giants land. The king, fearing what would happen if it became known, claimed there was a miscarriage, and sent her to a friend of his, he thought it's better to be a huge human than a tiny giant. Giants usually would wreak havoc with their huge bodies, or use their gruesome magic to flatten out villages. But she would not be able to, the king could tell. He asked his friend to teach her what he knows of enchantments, and forgery. 2 years later, a elven prince was born. The king had sacrificed a part of his own strength to strengthen the prince, but as he was born, he didn't seem to have a strong body, or any aptitude in magic. The king didn't kick him out, or give him away, but he distanced himself from him immediately. And a mere week after that, a princess of the Zygerian empire was born. The royals of the Zygerian empire are usually more tree than human, but the princess looked like a normal human, She didn't have a single part of her body made out of wood. The emperor was instantly worried, and tried to help his daughter, but nothing worked, The emperor at first felt worried for his daughter, slowly turned into disgust. The emperor could not bear to look at her. He distanced himself, and made her grow up pretty much on her own.
