A curse has enshrouded the island of Illia in a never-ending storm for years. When the hex is mysteriously lifted, a young slave with magical powers must somehow convince his master to let him join a raiding expedition to the lands of Cassada so that he can return to his homeland and ultimately escape his life of servitude.
