The doors slowly slid open sending dust into the large room the room was what seemed to be the inside of a mid size church the rows of wooden pews led up to a stone podeam which was a perch for a monster that was a mix between a panther and a crow it’s four Lims were ended bye three thick talons it’s body covered in black feathers it’s head covered bye a plate of bone

it’s lack of wings ment as it lept twords the scarecrow it only made half the distance but it barely lost speed as it bounded twords the scarecrow it’s mouth opening unnaturally wide showing a huge number of jagged teeth sat in a mouth that was nearly a meter from top to bottom showing a black void that seemed to have no bottom

a spear was sent flashing forward the energy around it slicing through the bottom jaw in a single grusam spray but the monster seemed not to care as it slammed the remaining top of its jaw the scarecrow who had expected the monster to react to the injury the sharp teeth slammed down on the body of the scarecrow the ground underneath cracking

luchkly the lack of a spine ment nothing was broken the spear slammed into the eye socket of the skull head cover was something that made the monster react the monster jumped back but with the spear still inside

the scarecrow using agility jumped and slammed its hand on the spear shaft causing a shudder to run through its body
