SAVAGE GIRL
EP 1: Mean girls

EP 1: Mean girls

Jemima walked into the classroom, and the chattering stopped immediately at the location of her fellow girls. It was crowdy as almost all the female students of SS3A were situated there. All eyes were on Jemima, including the guys’, which unlike the girls didn’t form a large clique, just two or three clusters out of the 35 students present. Jemima stared at the girls, eyes cold and face blank, wondering what they were talking about. Immediately, the girls scattered to their various seats, most of them avoiding eye contact, while others gazing lowly at her. She fixed her eyes on them, glaring until she arrived at her seat. Without a word, she sat down, and began taking out contents from her bag. Two other girls, Priscilla and Diana walked side-by-side into class, arriving at her location.

“Babe, what’s up?” Diana, the fair-skinned girl wearing a black bonestraight wig asked, roughly dropping her bag on the table right before her.

“I’m good, you?” Janette asked, looking up at her. She was a fair skinned girl with long cornrow braided hair in an all back style.

“Same.” Diana said, tilting her head slightly.

Priscilla, the only dark girl in the group, whose brown hair was permed into a bob style, smiled warmly at Janette as a form of greeting. Janette formed a friendly thin line with her lips, unable to smile. Nina, a dark girl, wearing poor quality optical glasses, whose hair was cut low, walked towards Diana.

“Good morning.” Nina grinned widely, revealing her uneven set of teeth that needed braces.

“What do you want, nerd?” Diana asked, rolling her eyes in irritation as the girls stared blankly at the nerd.

“I came to deliver the assignment I did for you three.” Nina answered, smiling.

Priscilla frowned. “It’s late.” She said coldly.

“I know, I had to do my assignment, you know I’m a science student.” Nina said with a huge grin on her face.

Abruptly, Diana pushed her roughly, and she fell on the ground, her butt against the cold floor. “W-what? I’m sorry girls, but–”

The three girls scowled at her, and she became the centre of attention as everyone kept staring at her.

“When we say 7:30, we mean 7:30. Why 7:35, huh?” Janette scolded.

“I’m sorry.” Nina said shivering.

“What do we do to her?” Priscilla asked her clique.

“Easy. The usuals.” Janette said harshly, standing up from her seat.
