[Sauceless Reincarnation - Chapter 1]

My name is Ryo and I'm just a normal teenager. Well, not so normal. I have no friends but I'm kind of okay with it. though, I still would like to have some.

At home, I barely see my parents because they are always working and don't have much free time.

At School, I am good at math but average on everything else.

But do you want to know something I'm really good at? Reading Manhwas.

I read Manhwa for most of my free time, I'm probably reading more than 80 Manhwas right now.

Some time ago... I saw a random guy with the name "SungJinwooStan_2".

"Huh, what a strange name"

But what was more interesting was the thing he commented, an image of a Manhwa I didn't know. It looked really cool so I asked him for the sauce...

"hey! that looks cool, sauce?"

"man, MC almost dies in chapter 69 lmao"

He responded with random information about the Manhwa...?

"uhh... cool? but what's the sauce?"

I responded to his new comment asking for the sauce again but he didn't say anything.

After that I tried to forget about it since I wasn't getting the sauce. But it was really hard because for some reason it kept appearing in my head.

I've seen this guy multiple times and he always comments about this unknown Manhwa and not about the Manhwa he's reading. I tried to ask him about the unknown Manhwa a lot of times but he never tells me or any other person who asks about it.

This has been going on for months now, and I know a lot of that unknown Manhwa even though I have never read it.

It looks really good and the plot sounds really good too, but that guy really won't tell anyone the sauce.

You can't imagine the frustration of waiting for his response everytime I asked for the sauce and only to hear some random bullshit and not the name of the Manhwa.

I've tried to search it with multiple image search sites and I even asked on other sites about this Manhwa but I was never able to find it.

On a normal day, I was reading Manhwa comments and that Sung Jinwoo guy was there again. I kind of gave up on trying to ask him the name of the Manhwa. but, I just wanted to ask one last time before I actually gave up. This time, he didn't respond with anything about the Manhwa.

"Don't worry, you will see it soon!"

"...What do you mean by that?"

No response...

Later that day I was going out to buy some food... On the way to the convenience store I saw a girl from my class alone in the street

I really wanted to make some friends... I mustered all my courage to try talking with her.

"H-Hey! you're Saki r-right?"

"Oh! hi! I think your name was.. Ryo?"

"Y-Yes..."

My mind went blank after that.

"..."

It was too much for me so I ran away.

"H-Hey! wait!"

I didn't look back.

When I got to the convenience store I realized how dumb I was.

"What's my problem?"

"...I don't want to go back to school after this..."

My thoughts got interrupted as I suddenly heard a really loud noise.

It sounded like a plane, so naturally, I looked up to see what was happening.

When I looked up, all I could see was a big plane flying towards my direction.

I stood there in shock not knowing what I should do.

"What the fuck?"

That's everything I could say.

The plane was about to hit the ground and I just closed my eyes because I believed it was going to be less worse with the eyes closed.

I didn't feel any pain, I think I died instantly with the plane crash.

When I opened my eyes... Everything was white.

"A plane...?"

"...Am I dead?"

I looked around and all I could see was a big pile of nothing.

"...So after death there's... nothing?"

"Fuck... I was expecting to at least get transported into an Isekai..."

"..."

At the moment, I just didn't know what to think.

"Did I really die?" I look down.

"I... I had so many things I still wanted to do..."

"My family... will they miss me?"

I started to cry as I thinked about everything I had done and all the things I still wanted to do.

"This... can't be real, right? it's just a nightmare... right?" I put my left hand into my face.

I tried to lie to myself, but it didn't really work.

"M-Maybe if I close my eyes-"

I was interrupted by a strange noise.

it wasn't loud but it inflicted me with fear for some reason.

"What was that!?" I look behind me.

A small green light appeared in the white void.

I walk towards it.

"Huh? What's this?" I touch it.

That small light quickly increased its size and it emitted a light so bright that it changed everything from white to green.

From that light, I heard a loud but calm, deep voice that sounded like it was possessed by a Male.

"Thanks for your waiting... the results are out."

"[Ryo] You have been given a second chance in life, congrats!"

"...Results? second chance in life? What does all this mean? Are you god?"

I was really confused. I didn't expect a voice to come from that thing.

"Please, Close your eyes when you're ready to go."

"So you're another person that is not going to answer me..."

I felt really frustrated for having no answer to what was happening, I was still trying to process that I actually died! but I had nothing left to lose, so I closed my eyes.

"Initializing the Reincarnation process."

I felt a huge pain in my head and opened my eyes.

I was at a place that looked like space. I could see stars everywhere. I was stepping on a transparent bright blue ground. It looked thin.

Standing in front of me, a person that looked like my age, but didn't look like me at all.

A male, probably around 1.80m, dark short hair, green eyes that look like the same color of that strange light, a nice face and a skinny body.

He was almost the complete opposite of me.

He was staring at my eyes.

"Hello?" I say with a calm voice.

I got no response from him.

I started walking towards him.

After three steps, some type of green energy starts coming out of him and starts coming towards me.

"!?" I put my hands in front of my face to try to protect me.

The energy enters my body but I don't feel anything different.

I was really confused, but as the energy didn't do anything, I continued to walk towards him.

As the energy entered my body, I started to feel a little strange and as the energy left his body, his physical form started to vanish.

At some point, all there was left of him was a form made of the strange green energy, his physical form wasn't there anymore.

When I got really close to him, he extended his hand.

"..."

I touch his hand and all the energy starts entering my body.

Before he disappeared completely, he told me something.

"Good luck, Taichi"

"Taichi? that's not my name-"

Everything started to spin around me and all the stars started to disappear.

I blinked and when I opened my eyes everything was black.

"The Reincarnation process was successful!"

That's all I could hear before I suddenly fell asleep.

I don't know if it was because of this "Reincarnation process" or because of all the shock I got from dying, but it sure was a good sleep.
