The Black Underground, Nation of Latelle
Azure
It's been a while since I've been here.
With all the experimenting, it seems as if my demon mix is getting stronger, and is maturing faster than it was before.
Usually, with humans who are part demon, usually the demon blood in them develops slowly, so they don't have any traits when they are young. It's usually at the pre-teen stage where small signs begin to appear. For me, that's just slightly larger canines, and brighter eyes.
But recently, my demonic traits began to develop faster than expected, likely due to what the scientists are experimenting with. Judging from their joyous reactions, this is likely to be the intended effect of all those suspicious fluids they've pumped into my veins.
My mother was a blood demon, otherwise known as vampires, and my father was a regular human, who had a talent in swordsmanship. Although he couldn't cultivate it, since we were so poor. My mother couldn't even work in fear she'd get publicly executed for being a demon. People could somewhat easily see her fangs and glowing eyes, and would recognize that she was a blood demon, which meant she'd have to hide, staying with me in our shabby little 'house'.
We'd usually have to move far distances if someone ever found out, and we definitely had to move a few times.
One cold night, my mother was hunted down by the Union, a righteous organization who protects the Nation of Virene from demons. But I would never consider them as righteous. They are the ones who've murdered my parents, sentenced them to death, a humiliating public execution.
I will wipe out all the humans in the Union. Every last one of them. Then I'll take the crown and take all that is mine.
Wait. Did I really just think that? I will get my sweet revenge, no matter what, but there's no need to be so vicious. Right?
But first off, I need a plan to escape these scientists. I can't really do anything, because the guards can use magic and are quite physically strong.
But as my demon blood matures, which it is, faster too, from the experiments, then I will be able to overpower them. But that's only in a fair fight.
I have shackles that stop me from moving effectively, and there's always constant pain and red marks on my wrists and ankles.
I've thought about an escape plan again and again, but to no avail.
I'd have to wait until I get stronger, likely when my demon blood matures, and maybe then, I maybe could escape. But I'd have to gather more information.
A guard walks up to my cell and unlocks the door.
"You know the drill. Follow me." A guard says, and brings me to a room, where I'm put in some sort of cylinder tube with walls of glass. He makes me wear an oxygen mask, attached to a tube, and the tube flows all the way out from the tube and into a large box outside.
One of the scientists closes the top of the container I'm in, by pressing a button, while the guard just leans against the wall beside the room's door, watching me.
"Alright, start with the protective fluid." One of the older scientists commands. "After that, we'll start inputting some more demonic essence, and speed up demonic development to see if our experiments are truly successful."
The other scientist nods and presses a few buttons on the side of the cylinder, and out from the ground, purple liquid begins pouring into the tube I'm standing in.
"This will change everything. Our demonic soldiers will be able to be more powerful, and soon we might even be able to turn humans into demons, giving us a physical advantage against the Union and the Council of Latelle. So far, everything has been going smoothly!"
"For the glory of the Abyss!" The other scientist says. "... And my paycheck." He adds on, with a whisper. "Anywa-"
"Oh wait, we forgot to close the second lid." The scientist says, freaking out a bit, and quickly presses a button to close the outer lid. "There we g-"
When the lid closes, I can no longer hear anything outside anymore. I'm completely isolated. However, what scares me more is that it doesn't sound like these scientists know exactly what there doing.
"What the hell?" I murmur in surprise. Soon, the purple liquid envelops me and fills up the entire container. It makes me itch a bit, and I have to close my eyes to avoid it from disturbing me. I take scattered deep breathes using the oxygen mask, hoping that this can all end soon. But my limbs lose energy, and this liquid captivates my body.
My world turns to black.

I wake up with the sound of glass shattering. What the?
The tube around me shatters into pieces as I feel the earth rumbling and shaking. Devastatingly. I get up and shake myself, trying to wake up my limbs. What is happening here? The glass container I was put in broke? Looking up, I see that a small part of the ceiling is missing, and looking down, I see a piece of stone. It must've hit the glass walls of this tube from all this commotion. Just what is happening in the hallways and upstairs?
This room is empty, with lots of papers scattered everywhere. Looks like the scientists left in a rush.
Outside, I can hear loud screams, and footsteps echoing through the hallways, scared, I run to the door and lock it, leaning against it shut. I hold my ear against the door, listening for a sound. Only to realize it's gone.
What, what?
I grab at the side of my head, feeling for an ear, but instead, I feel something soft. It tickles.
Feeling the texture, it's a long fluffy ear, attached to my head. Wait what? Why do I have wolf ears?
Before I can have any time to freak out, I hear someone talking.
"Make sure you kill all of these humans! Any of them could be working for the abyss!"
I hear countless people thundering down halls, deathly screams, and shouting commanders.
"For the Nation of Latelle!"
"Wipe out these dirty people!"
"Charge!"
I wait and wait and wait, hoping no one finds me. Thankfully, this room has a door that matches pretty well with the walls, especially since this dungeon is so dark.
Wait. What if these people are trying to help me? They are killing my abductors after all! Finally!
But, what if they think I'm working for them too? After all, although I'm not in Virene anymore, and so the citizens don't hate against demons and half-demons anymore, they still are a bit biased against demons. There's just a stigma. Plus, I remember one of the people outside talking about killing everyone. Damn it!
Why do humans have no compassion?
After time passes, I slowly get more and more comfortable with this room, and the lock holding the door closed too. Soon, I realize that no one would probably think to come in, nor even be able to open the door, unless they had super strength of course.
I walk around the premise, and begin to look around, glancing over and roughly reading what the scientists had left, and many of the other miscellaneous papers lying around.
Notes for Experiment v24 (Demon Mixing / Demon Buffing)
Day 1: Subject has strong physical capabilities. Strong blood, tolerant, heals quickly. Very healthy, should be able to withstand tests. Very rowdy, guards needed around.
Day 2: It's looking pretty good so far. Tests are going well, and research has been fast. Although the new intern is kind of annoying. The subject is a half human, half blood demon. Has not yet developed fangs or a taste for blood.
Day 13: Decided to amp up subject's poison intake to increase the body's immunity and tolerance.
Day 34: Small doses of essence are used to speed up demonic trait development in subject so demon mixing tests can be done.
Day 49: Wolf blood is ready, time for transfusion. Need to prep a bit more though. Subject seems fine, although a bit tired. Should be fine...
Day 53: Process is starting. Subject has been submerged in solution for a few days. Wolf ears are growing rapidly. Fangs not visible. Subject likely needs more blood intake before they appear. More data needed though.
I've been here for over 53 days? I know it's been long, but I didn't think it's been that long. All the things I could've done!
Experiment Reminders
One part l231lc, three parts 9123ac. 1:3. Standard cups.
L37 in cupboard labelled #09, in blood tabs.
Test for allergies that the subject may have. Small doses first, before larger.
Prime Species for Combat for the Abyss
Abyssal plans for combat efficient soldiers is underway.
Mixture of demon and wolf blood is most efficient. Speed and agility from a wolf demon mixed with the strength and durability of a blood demon is the best combination of demon races.
Only problem is to lower cost and time of demon race blood fusion. Very expensive and time consuming.
Need to lower death rate of the process.
It seems as if they've used me as a guinea pig for their plans to make very strong soldiers, for whatever purpose. Something related to "The Abyss".
What is that?
After reading around, in a few hours, all is quiet again.
Did the intruders leave?
Sneakily peaking my head out from the door, I don't see anyone in the hallways anymore, only the corpses of soldiers.
I walk closer to them, something in my head calling me closer.
Yes... You know you want it...
Suddenly, these dead humans start to look very appetizing. The smell of their blood send shivers down my spine, as I feel my fangs start to grow. The scent of their flesh makes my fluffy ears tingle, and my mouth starts to water.
Tasty...
Why not indulge a little... Mmn~
