Chapter 7 - Link Together with All

The Third Street Saints were devastated upon learning that the shipment they stole from STAG's aircraft carrier named Thermopylae contains nothing but sex toys, and as Pierce dug into it, he finds it as a success rather than a failure to provide weapons for the rest of the gang. The Boss couldn't help but facepalm at their unfortunate attempt, and the rest of the gang stares at Dustin with disappointment on their faces.

Upon noticing it, Dustin reacts. "What the fuck are you guys looking at? I'm also shocked too, alright?"

"Dusty, if you'll lead a heist mission, make sure that we'll research what the content really is! What the fuck are we gonna do with these sex dolls?! I'm not using that, never! You fucked up, Dustin. Now the gang's affected because of your bullshit!" Shaundi started to blame him for their wasted efforts.

"It's cool, I have a shit load of new toys for my collection. Look, these are collector's item-types of shit!" Pierce decides to keep what they stole from STAG.

"And what if STAG goes after you, Pierce? We're not saving your ass from them." Viola enters the scene all of a sudden.

"Guys, calm the fuck down, okay? These can't go to the dumpsite, so Pierce is keeping it." The Boss agrees with the idea of Pierce obtaining the items.

"You had it, Dustin. But you blew it, now I feel sorry for you." Shaundi kept her arms crossed to lecture the STAG enforcer.

"You're getting too harsh, Shaundi. Take it easy, he doesn't have a clue that these are sex dolls and dildos either." Miguel defends Dustin's side.

"You know what? I'm outta here." Dustin kicked the chessboard near them before walking out of the meeting.

"Aw, what the fuck? I owe Oleg 20 grand on that one!" Pierce screamed as his chess match was ruined again.

Miguel's eyes were set at Dustin before focusing on Shaundi. "Look what you just did, I told you to keep it cool. I'll get back to you after I deal with him."

Oleg, Viola, and the Boss followed Dustin on the second floor while Pierce brought the crate's content to sort it out and examine it. Dustin threw a massive punch on one of Angel's sandbags, and they were shocked in awe at how the bag swung. The Russian brute reached him out gently after he releases his frustrations.

"Are you alright, Dustin? You seem… Furious." Oleg spoke, holding his shoulder.

"Yeah, Oleg. I'm just- I don't know how to explain this, I thought this was it. I leave STAG today to join you guys, but Shaundi, man. Jeez, she's discouraging." Dustin had the chance to express what he felt towards Shaundi's words.

"Eh, I'm used to it. She had some major changes after Gat died. It's still hard for her, you know. And hey, I'll talk to her about this. Don't be so negative, Dustin. You did well today." Miguel lifted his spirit.

"Shaundi tends to be like that to the point that I find her harsher than me. So… On behalf of her, I'd like to apologize." She was sorry on behalf of Shaundi.

"Now chin up and we'll find a way to fulfill the gang's needs. This isn't over for you, Dustin Walbridge." The former KGB agent lends a hand for him to bump.

"I guess so, Oleg. And guys, thank you. I thought I was alone all this time, but maybe I was wrong." He took a deep breath after receiving such refreshing words from them.

"Nice punch you got there, Dustin. But you think that makes you a true combatant already?" Angel was watching them the whole time.

"I don't recommend you challenging Dustin into a sparring, Angel," Miguel suggested that they shouldn't have a friendly contest.

Meanwhile, Shaundi sat on the nearby wrestling ring noticing that the place needs some renovation. "God, this place sucks. How does Angel live with this shit?"

"Methods and everything, Shaundi. He disregarded his sanitary responsibilities for his intensive training." Pierce explained the reason why.

"Look, I-" She was about to reply when she was interrupted by the radio program that has the TV personality Jane Valderamma in it.

"The STAG Initiative's battle for gang violence isn't over, as they insist to eradicate gangs throughout Steelport despite the death of its commander Kia and the warning they received from the Third Street Saints. Speaking of the Saints, they have been detected over the radar with their malicious yet questionable doings after they invaded STAG's aircraft carrier, also known as the Thermopylae." Jane and her quick news report could be heard on the radio near them.

"Bullshit." She was about to turn the radio off when Pierce stopped her.

"The Saints are on the move after recruiting STAG prospect named Dustin Walbridge to their gang. His status as a sergeant had been stripped off him after the heist that took place in the Thermopylae, stealing a massive crate that contains bizarre sex dolls courtesy of them." Jane has mentioned Dustin and what he is up to.

"Dustin's not gonna like this one…" Pierce calls it.

"We are still trying to get a word from STAG's Cyrus Temple, but until then, Dustin Walbridge has been officially excommunicated from the STAG Initiative. This is Jane Valderamma, with your Steelport Crime Report." She has concluded her news report by announcing that Dustin is no longer a part of STAG.

"Damn, Dustin is sure happy that they fired him." Pierce guessed it.

"Not really, now I feel sorry that I gave him a mild verbal abuse." She realizes that she was indeed harsh at Dustin.

"You call that harsh? You got some attitude problems, you sick fuck." He still gets to poke fun at Shaundi.

"I'm sorry, okay? Yelling at him on the day he's gonna get fired at STAG doesn't seem right for me, I know." Shaundi finally admitted that she kind of went too far.

"See? Tell that to him, motherfucker. Man's the real deal, I mean seriously, he brought us to STAG without him getting into trouble. At least when the time he saved your sorry asses from them, you should be grateful. And oh, congratulate him for getting fired at that initiative full of asshats." Pierce made her realize that Dustin is a huge contribution to the Saints once more.

"Says by the guy who only cares about the sex dolls." She walked out to get to the former STAG enforcer.

"These are collectibles! Learn the fucking difference." Pierce tried to make it clear but she didn't hear it as she walks away.

Shaundi went upstairs to apologize to Dustin sincerely, and when she gets there, he doesn't seem to take it too hard as he was laughing along with the members of the Saints. Moreover, Angel wouldn't stop issuing a friendly wrestling match that includes him and Dustin.

She walked into their circle, telling Dustin that she's sorry. "Hey, Dustin… I'm sorry about earlier. I think that me screaming my lungs out on you is a little unnecessary. So yeah, I apologize for my irresponsible actions."

"It's fine, Shaundi. It's not like you're the only one who's mad at me. If I was still on STAG, Cyrus would seize the opportunity to roast the shit out of me." Dustin accepts the apology, saying that it would be worse if Cyrus Temple was the one who did it.

"You see? Shaundi ain't much of a threat. She's not degrading at all." The Boss gets to joke about it.

"You son of a-" She lands a fist on Miguel's shoulder.

"Ow! What was that for?" He held his shoulder that was sore from Shaundi's knuckle.

"How about now, you prick?" Shaundi smirked at him who was still in pain.

"Break it up, you jackasses." Dustin stood up and faced Angel. "By the way, let's see how your wrestling matches mine."

"So, you would agree after all." Angel offers a handshake to him.

"You're on, Angel." By looking at it, Dustin shook his hand.

"Is this real? Dustin and Angel in a wrestling match? Holy shit, get some popcorns, y'all." Pierce freaked out after they shook each other's hands.

Fast forward, they all went downstairs to witness the exhibition matchup between Angel De LaMuerte and The Vindicator which is Dustin in a Stilwater Butcher costume. Angel stretches up using the ropes, limbering up whilst Dustin is leaning on the corner with his arms rested on the ropes. Oleg was holding the bell, and once he rang it, the match has officially begun.

The bell rang, and Angel immediately charged to perform a dropkick to Dustin. The gang was cheering for both of them, but they all went silent as Dustin counters it by stepping back, using his hidden skills as he grabbed Angel from behind, performing a German Suplex.

"What the hell! Dustin got some moves." Pierce stood from his seat in amazement.

Dustin still doesn't let go of Angel, going for a second rodeo but this time, he performs a side slam that had his back damaged. The Vindicator waits for De LaMuerte to get back to his feet from the corner, and soon as he gets up, Angel did the same strategy of running towards his opponent only to get trapped.

He performs a Headlock Takedown on Angel, making him tap in submission since the hold was still locked onto him. Angel just wanted to test if Dustin could become a Luchador, and he wasn't wrong. Dustin could keep up and even surpass Angel's skills in wrestling.

"That's how you do it, Angel." Dustin took his mask off, taking a deep breath before helping Angel to get up.

"Man… You're too stiff." Angel held his hand to stand up, holding his jaw as it was in anguish.

"Am I? You told me to wrestle, yeah? That's what I did." Dustin doesn't realize that he went so hard on slamming and putting Angel into a lock.

"Say… What background did you receive?" Angel asked if what kind of training did Dustin receive.

"Mixed Martial Arts." It was revealed that Dustin has an MMA background.

"Ah, you're a honed one. Still, we're built on different worlds, amigo. But we're set as fighters, that's where the similarities get us together." Angel tapped his shoulder.

"You did well, bud." He bumped Angel's fist.

Pierce, Oleg, and Miguel were clapping from the mini-show they put on. And while they were cheering for them both, Kinzie enters the gym carrying her laptop. "Sorry to interrupt, guys. But I think I'm done with my research with the members of the New Syndicate."

"Oh really? Care to explain the content of your thesis, Kinzie?" Oleg asks for what she came up to after hours of sitting in front of her laptop.

"Since you guys are now familiar with the names, here's a little background on what are they up to. They are the ones who stole the crate from STAG that has weapons in it. They changed the crate and what it consists of intentionally. So yeah, we're kind of framed up. And oh, Lady Kalashnikov's data is interesting." Kinzie told them what happened with the shipment they planned to steal.

"She worked as an assassin for Ultor, and she was one of the agents I have hopes for success. But it turns out that I was mistaken after she joined the Syndicate to lead the Deckers." Oleg tells about her background.

"Ana Markova, isn't it? I can't blame her for getting into the Cyberpunk thingy. Eh, she's better than Miller in all aspects anyway." She tells them her real name.

"Wah-wah, boring. Tell us what we should do instead then we get to it sooner or later." The Boss asked for guidance in their next step.

"I overheard a piece of audio logs in their meeting earlier saying that one of the finalists on Shaundi's show is actually an undercover. Shaundi, make sure that you rig your own show and make the guy win. Then you could have fun with him by asking him to death with questions regarding what stuff does the New Syndicate will make in Steelport." Kinzie explains it by involving Shaundi's TV show.

"You heard Kinzie, Shaundi. You're up to wreck your goddamn show." The Boss looked at her.

"Okay… Since I'm tired of waking up early in the morning to air that shit." Shaundi agreed to butcher her TV show.
